Where's your husband?
The Storm Queen looked confused.
THE STORM QUEEN:
My husband?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Yeah, the Storm King?
The Storm Queen realized what Charlie was saying and laughed out loud.
THE STORM QUEEN (Laughing):
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! You mean you don't know?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Know what?
The Storm Queen stopped laughing.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Oh, I've been telling this story to everyone, but not to a human. All right, I'll tell you. It was nine hundred and ninety years ago after Tempest Shadow turned me into stone and smashed me into pieces.
(Flashback Sequence)
THE STORM QUEEN:
My spirit went back to my Realm and I unleashed the Storm of Darkness from another dimension, not yours. It took ten years for it to give me a new body. But to me, it took ten minutes.
(Present day Sequence)
Charlie and his dad looked surprised.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
That flashback looks real.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Wait. Are you telling us, that you... are the Storm King?!
THE STORM QUEEN:
Yes. My spirit remains the same, but my appearance and my voice are different. And now I'm a woman, I can do whatever I want.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
It's true, they do.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Only the bad ones, Dad. Your Majesty, what about Equestria?
THE STORM QUEEN:
Oh, I've took it and ruled it for a thousand years now and I've turned everyone into stone, including the Guardians of Harmony. Then I replaced some of the creatures' spirits, including ponies with storm spirits. Just like what I did to Starlight Glimmer. And I've released three of my frenemies who tried to take over Equestria a few times. But thanks to my help, Cozy Glow took over Ponyville, Lord Tirek took over Manehattan and Queen Chrysalis took over the Crystal Empire.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
What about King Sombra?
THE STORM QUEEN:
His spirit is hard to find. And I took over Centerlot. Think of it as my summer home with lightning and storm clouds.
The Storm Queen laughed evilly, while the lightning burst from the storm clouds.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
But what about other ponies in places like Maretime Bay?
Charlie looked angry at his dad.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Dad!
THE STORM QUEEN:
Oh, I'm glad you brought it up, Malcolm. I used my powers to remove all magic from Pegasi and Unicorns. So, they won't fly and levitate things. Then I forced three pony kinds to live in separate places. Maretime Bay for Earth ponies, Zephyr Heights for Pegasi and Bridlewood for the Unicorns. Thanks to my assistants, the Cloverleaf family, they made the law to keep them separate.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Cloverleaf?
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
What kind of law?
THE STORM QUEEN:
If all pony kinds unite together and brings back the magic of friendship, the penalty is death!
Princess Skystar looked scared and stood behind Charlie.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
That's sound really scary.
THE STORM QUEEN:
It's supposed to be scary. Get used to it. But when all these years passed, Earth ponies believe that Pegasi and Unicorns eat them and shoot lasers at them. Then Pegasi use a ball to shield the Unicorns magic. And as for the Unicorns, when someone said magic or mayonnaise, they made silly movements and said bing bong, bing bong.
The Storm Queen laughed.
THE STORM QUEEN:
I laughed every time they did that.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Are you sure they are still following your law?
The Storm Queen didn't look happy.
THE STORM QUEEN:
You're quite a strange human aren't you. Let me show you.
The Storm Queen picked up her new Staff of Sacanas and used it to make a magic screen appear Infront of Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar. In the magic screen, shows all the ponies in Maretime Bay.
THE STORM QUEEN:
What you see in this magic screen is what's happening in Maretime Bay today. I mean I hate friendship, but as long as an Earth pony makes friends with another Earth pony, I won't mind. Look at this. Earth ponies eating ice cream. Earth ponies playing with kites. A unicorn levitating a box and giving it to a flying Pegasus.
The Storm Queen looked shocked and angry when she saw a unicorn and a Pegasus on the magic screen.
THE STORM QUEEN (Shouting):
What?! Unicorns?! Pegasi?! Why are they using magic?! Why are they flying? And why are they with the Earth ponies?!
Darklight Storm spotted Sunny Starscout, who is now an alicorn on the magic screen.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
I think I know why, Your Majesty. Look.
The Storm Queen saw what Darklight Storm was pointing at the magic screen.
THE STORM QUEEN:
An alicorn?
Charlie looked happy when he saw Sunny Starscout on the magic screen.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Sunny!
THE STORM QUEEN:
Sunny?
The Storm Queen looked surprised after he recognised Sunny Starscout.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Wait, I know her. She used to be an Earth Pony. But if she's now an alicorn, that means she united everypony and brought the magic of friendship back. Well, I'll make sure she'll face my wrath. Darklight, assemble the storm creatures to the airship and set a course to Maretime Bay.
Darklight Storm kneeled before the Storm Queen.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
With pleasure, Your Majesty.
Darklight Storm trotted and left the throne room. Charlie looked at the Storm Queen.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
What are you going to do?
THE STORM QUEEN:
This alicorn violated my law, and now I have no choice but to destroy her and everypony in Maretime Bay, Bridlewood and Zephyr Heights.
Charlie looked angry.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Storm Queen, I won't let you do this!
Charlie was charging at the Storm Queen until she shoots a blue lightning at Charlie with her staff that pinned him to the wall. Princess Skystar looked frightened.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Charlie!
Charlie tried to struggle, but the magic from the Storm Queen's staff was too powerful to break free.
THE STORM QUEEN:
I know why you and your Superman came to Equestria. You wanted to warn that alicorn about my plan to destroy her. And I know what the C stands for. Carvette. He was the one who ruined my plans of taking over Equestria before the Guardians of Harmony. I assume he's your uncle?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
He's, my grandfather!
THE STORM QUEEN:
Grandfather? Oh, that's rich. I haven't seen him for a very long time and I believe he's gone forever. So, I'll make sure that you join him!
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna magically appeared in front of Charlie, destroyed the storm creatures and pushed the Storm Queen back with their magic beams. Charlie was freed from the Storm Queen's magic and fell down to the floor. Malcolm and Princess Skystar ran to Charlie and lifted him up.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Are you all right, Charlie boy?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I would if you stop calling me that.
Malcolm smiled.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
I'll take that as a yes.
The Storm Queen got up from the floor and looked surprised when she saw Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
THE STORM QUEEN:
You?! What are you two doing here?
PRINCESS LUNA:
Making sure that you fail again, Storm Queen. Do not touch the Humacorn.
THE STORM QUEEN:
So, it was you who brought him here. Sorry about Twilight. She's looks much better now as a statue.
Princess Celestia looked angry.
PRINCESS CELESTIA (Angrily):
Don't you talk about my faithful student!
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna shoot magic beams from their horns and the Storm Queen shot a blue lightning with her staff that pushed the magic beams slowly towards them.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
Charlie, you need to get out of here.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I'm not leaving without you.
PRINCESS LUNA:
You don't have to worry. Just remember what Celestia said to you. We already freed Tempest and the others. They're waiting for you near the sky harbour, which is at the top of the castle.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Wait. What do you mean by the others?
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
You'll know when you see them, Charlie. Once you find an airship, you must head to Maretime Bay, find Sunny Starscout and find an Earth pony name Phyllis.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Phyllis?
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
Yes. Phyllis! You must go! Now!!
The blue lightning from the Storm Queen's staff went very close to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, and disintegrated them. Charlie, his dad and Princess Skystar looked shocked, while the Storm Queen looked surprised.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Well, that was easy.
The Storm Queen looked at Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar angrily.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Uh, oh. She's getting that anger look.
Malcolm grabbed Charlie.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Come on, son. We have to go.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTIAN:
She just destroyed them, Dad!
MALCOLM EQUESTIAN:
Son, we have to go!
Malcolm pulled Charlie away, then they and Princess Skystar ran and left the thorn room. The Storm Queen called out the storm creatures.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Storm creatures, destroy them!
The storm creatures went after Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar. In the hall, Charlie, his dad and Princess Skystar were running.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Skystar, do you know the way to the sky harbour?
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Yes, follow me!
Charlie and his dad followed Princess Skystar, until they stopped and saw some stairs.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Look, these stairs will take us to the harbour. Let's go.
While Charlie, his dad and Princess Skystar ran to the stairs, they were stopped by two storm creatures. But when they were about to attack Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar, a strange magic hit the storm creatures and disintegrated them. Charlie, his dad and Princess Skystar looked surprised when he saw Tempest Shadow in front of him.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
No storm creature messes with me.
Princess Skystar looked happy.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Tempest, you're okay!
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Princess Skystar! It's good to see you safe.
Tempest Shadow looked at Malcolm.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
And you must be Charlie.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Actually, I'm his dad, Malcolm.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I'm Charlie.
Tempest Shadow rolled her eyes.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Well, of course you are. Celestia and Luna told me about you after they freed me. Anyway, where are they?
Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar looked worried.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Uh... They... The Storm Queen.... She... Um...
Tempest Shadow looked a little sad when she realized why Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar looked worried.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
I see. They did what was necessary, didn't they?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Yes.
Tempest Shadow looked serious.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Well, come on. Captain Celaeno and the others are waiting for us at the harbour.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Celaeno?
Charlie, Malcolm, Princess Skystar and Tempest Shadow ran upstairs. They opened the door and went outside. At the sky harbour, Charlie saw lots of airships.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Which one is her ship?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
I don't know. It was easy to find when we came back.
Grubber ran to Tempest Shadow and he stopped as he was out of breath.
GRUBBER (Breathing):
Tempest! Tempest! I found our airship. But there's something wrong with it.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
What happened, Grubber?
GRUBBER:
It turned to stone.
Charlie looked surprised.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Grubber!
Grubber saw Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar.
GRUBBER:
Thank goodness the princess is okay. But who are those two?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
I'll explain later. Take us to the ship.
GRUBBER:
Right. Follow me.
Charlie, Malcolm, Princess Skystar and Tempest Shadow followed Grubber. As they made it to the statue airship, Capper, Captain Celaeno and her pirate crew, First Mate Mullet, Boyle, Lix Spittle and Squabble saw them.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Tempest, you made it! And you found the princess!
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Actually, they found her.
Captain Celaeno and Capper looked at Charlie and Malcolm.
CAPPER:
Who are they?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
They're humans. This is Charlie and his dad, Malcolm.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Are they from the human world that Rainbow Dash was telling me about?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Not exactly, but I'll explain it to you after we get outta here.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
We can't. My airship's turned to stone.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I'll take care of this.
Charlie quickly got the crystal of Sacanas out of his rucksack, touched the statue airship with it and the bright light changed it back to normal. Captain Celaeno looked surprised.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Wow! That's magic. Thanks, Charlie.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
No problem, Captain.
Captain Celaeno turned to her crew and her friends.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
All right, scallywags. Get on board and get the ship moving.
While everyone boarded the airship, Grubber spotted a few storm creatures at the sky harbour.
GRUBBER:
Tempest, the storm creatures are coming!
One of the storm creatures aimed his lightning staff at Princess Skystar and shot a blue lightning out of it. Princess Skystar looked scared and Charlie ran to her.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Skystar, look out!
Charlie pushed Princess Skystar away, then the blue lightning hit the barrel full of mangos. Lix Spittle looked shocked.
LIX SPITTLE:
My mangos! What would I make fruit mush out of now?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Bananas and grapes?
Lix Spittle smiled.
LIX SPITTLE:
That's a good idea.
Captain Celaeno gave orders to her crew.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Squabble, raise the sails. Mullet, take the wheel. And Boyle start the engines.
Squabble raised the sails; Mullet took control of the wheel and Boyle went to the engine room and turned the engines on.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Hang on, scallywags! It's time to be awesome!
Everyone held on to the ropes and the airship went full speed and escaped from the Storm Queen's Realm. In the throne room, the storm creatures gave bad news to the Storm Queen.
STORM CREATURE #3:
The prisoners and two humans have escaped, Your Majesty.
The Storm Queen looked furious.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Well, you better sure they don't get to Maretime Bay before Darklight does! Release the Storm Tornado!
Back at the airship, Boyle address to Captain Celaeno.
BOYLE:
Captain, we're far away from the Storm King's Realm and I set the engines back into normal speed.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Good work, Boyle. Tell Mullet to plot a course to Mount Aris.
BOYLE:
Aye, Captain.
After Boyle went to give the message to First Mate Mullet, Captain Celaeno turned to Tempest Shadow.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
Tempest, we rescued Princess Skystar and everyone's okay. But where's Celestia and Luna? What happened?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
They gave their lives to save these humans.
Captain Celaeno and Tempest Shadow saw Charlie, Malcolm and Princess Skystar talking to each other.
CAPTAIN CELAENO:
I see. I guess they are important. Let's go talk to them.
Captain Celaeno and Tempest Shadow was walking together. Princess Skystar happily hugged Charlie.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Happily):
Oh, Charlie! You saved my life! I will never forget it!
Charlie smiled.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I didn't want them to hurt you, Skystar.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Looks like she's yours forever, Charlie boy.
Charlie sighed.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Dad, please.
Charlie, his dad and Princess Skystar saw Captain Celaeno and Tempest Shadow.
