Back in the hall, Charlie, Sunny Starscout and their friends hid behind a pile of boxes and saw Darklight Storm and two Storm creature guards enter the building. Darklight Storm called out to Phyillis Cloverleaf.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Phyillis Cloverleaf! You are under arrest for letting everypony come together and letting them use magic. That violates the Storm Queen's ultimate law, and everypony must pay the penalty, with their lives.
All the ponies looked frightened, except Charlie and Sunny Starscout.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Who is that unicorn?
Sunny Starscout looked surprised.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Starlight Glimmer! Princess Twilight's faithful student!
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Not anymore.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
What?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
The Storm Queen took her spirit and her Cutie Mark, and replaced them with dark versions of them. She's Darklight Storm now.
IZZY MOONBOW:
That's explains why she's so dark and stormy.
Darklight Storm was getting impatient.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Show yourself now, or I'll destroy everything you love, including your son.
Charlie, Sunny Starscout and their friends came out of hiding and looked towards Darklight Storm and the Storm creature guards.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Never gonna happen, Darklight.
Darklight Storm was surprised when she saw Charlie.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Charlie Equestrian. I'm surprised to see you've survived from the Storm tornado.
Darklight Storm looked at Sunny Starscout.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
And you must be the alicorn who brought the magic back.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
So, what if I did.
Darklight Storm was thinking.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Mmm. This could be interesting. Tell you what, alicorn. If you come quietly and surrender yourself to the Storm Queen, and I'll let everypony and this human live.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
I don't believe you, Darklight. If I did surrender, you'll destroy all of us.
Charlie agreed with his cousin.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Yeah! My cousin is too brave to make dastardly deals with you.
Darklight Storm looked confused.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Your cousin?
IZZY MOONBOW:
Charlie is Sunny's human cousin and her dad is a humacorn!
Hitch Trailblazer looked surprised.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Izzy!
IZZY MOONBOW:
I take that back.
Izzy Moonbow covered her mouth with her hooves and Darklight Storm was very curious.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Really? So, Carvette disguised himself as an Earth pony. No wonder we couldn't find him. Oh, the Storm Queen will be mad. Now, surrender.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
No, Darklight. You think we're gonna give up just because we're scared of you? Well, we're not. My friends and my cousin have been through a lot of adventures and helping other ponies. So, we're not afraid of you!
Darklight Storm didn't look too happy.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Then you leave me no choice.
Darklight Storm ordered the two Storm creature guards to attack.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Storm creatures! Destroy that human, that alicorn and their friends!
While the Storm creature guards were charging towards them, Charlie quickly took out his sword from his scabbard and he struck them down with several hits. All the ponies looked surprised when they saw the Storm creatures disintegrate by Charlie's attack.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Charlie, you destroyed the Storm creatures with my dad's sword!
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
When did you learn to fight like that?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I don't know, but it feels right.
Izzy Moonbow saw a bright light appear in Charlie's chest.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Charlie, your body's glowing!
Charlie noticed that his body was slowly covered with a bright light. Then a unicorn horn sprouted from his head, Pegasus wings sprouted from his back and his ears transformed into pony ears. Sprout Cloverleaf and his mother left the office and witnessed Charlie's transformation. After the bright light faded away from Charlie's body, all the ponies including Darklight Storm looked shocked when they saw Charlie transformed into a humacorn.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
That felt like magic.
Charlie touched his Pegasus wings, his unicorn horn and his pony ears. Then he looked at his own reflection at the window.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I don't believe it.
Sunny Starscout walked up to Charlie.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Charlie, try not to panic, but you're...
Charlie looked excited.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN (Excited):
I've changed into a humacorn! Yes! My magic must've awoken after I defeated the Storm creatures!
Hitch Trailblazer and Izzy Moonbow ran up to Charlie and took a good look at him.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Charlie, your horn is sparkling!
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
And your wings shine like a rainbow.
Izzy Moonbow turned to Sunny Starscout.
IZZY MOONBOW:
So, that's how your dad became a humacorn.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Yeah, and this is the first time I've seen it.
Darklight Storm looked scared, while she ran to the front door. Sprout Cloverleaf called out to Charlie.
SPROUT CLOVERLEAF:
Charlie! That dark unicorn is getting away!
Charlie, his cousin and their friends saw Darklight Storm left the building.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Come on, everypony, we can't let her get away!
Charlie, Sunny Starscout and their friends ran after Darklight Storm.
Area: The Town
After they left Centerlogic, they saw so many Storm creatures attacking the town, while all the ponies were screaming for their lives.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
The Storm creatures are attacking the town!
IZZY MOONBOW:
Everypony is playing hide and seek. Don't let them see you!
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
These ponies won't defend themselves unless we do something.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Charlie's right. It's up to us. If his grandfather saved ancient Equestria before the Guardians of Harmony, then we can save Maretime Bay.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
All right, everypony, let's do this. For Equestria!
SUNNY STARSCOUT, HITCH TRAILBLAZER, IZZY MOONBOW (Unison):
For Equestria!
Charlie and his team charged at the Storm creatures. Sunny Starscout flew into the air and shot a laser beam at the Storm creature. Sprout Cloverleaf looked surprised.
SPROUT CLOVERLEAF:
Whoa! Alicorns and unicorns do shoot laser beams. Don't aim that thing at me, Sunny!
Izzy Moonbow used her magic to levitate a big ribbon to trip over a few Storm creatures.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Oops. Better watch your step.
Hitch Trailblazer buck kicked the Storm creatures away, saved the little colt and returned him to his mother.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Your son is safe again, ma'am.
While Hitch Trailblazer left, the pony mother looked confused.
EARTH PONY MOTHER:
I told you, this isn't my kid!
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
You're welcome again!
Charlie was fighting off the rest of the Storm creatures with his sword, then a magic rainbow beam came out of his hands and shot at them which disintegrated them. After all of the Storm creatures were gone, Charlie and his team gathered together, very happy with themselves.
IZZY MOONBOW:
We did it!
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
We defeated the Storm creatures!
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
And we still worked together as friends.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
And for the first time as a family.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Oh, yeah. You and Sunny are cousins.
Charlie rolled his eyes, while Sunny Starscout looked around.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Hey, where's Darklight?
All the ponies and Charlie heard some giant thuds. A big machine approached the town and it was controlled by Darklight Storm. Sprout Cloverleaf recognized it.
SPROUT CLOVERLEAF:
That's my machine!
Darklight Storm stopped her machine and looked at Charlie and his team.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Do you really think I was going to leave that easily?
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Isn't that Sprout's machine?
IZZY MOONBOW:
It looks different than the last one.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
That's because she poured darkness into broken parts and formed them into a Storm version of Sprout's machine.
Darklight Storm looked impressed.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
You're a very smart humacorn. But not better than me. Now you all must die!
Darklight Storm made an evil laughter and Izzy Moonbow looked a little scared.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Do you have to make it very hush?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
No time to play nice, everypony. It's time to play bad! In a good way.
Charlie and his team attacked Darklight Storm's dark big machine. Charlie took out some dark armour pieces from the machine with his sword and rainbow beam. Hitch Trailblazer buck kicked its legs to slow it down. Then Sunny Starscout and Izzy Moonbow shot some firelight balls at the machine from their horns. Darklight Storm looked furious, while she activated the shield to surround her machine, then it made a huge blast that pushed Charlie and his team away. They tried to move, but they we're paralyzed from the shield blast.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
I can't move!
IZZY MOONBOW:
I can't use my magic!
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Neither can I! Charlie, what's happening to us!?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
That's a paralyzing shield! It made us stop moving and do nothing.
IZZY MOONBOW:
But I'm still talking!
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I said do not say!
DARKLIGHT STORM:
I don't know how you know that, humacorn, but you'll never guess what I'm about to do to you next.
When Darklight Storm was about to crush Charlie, he called out to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna in the sky.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN (Yelling):
CELESTIAAAAAA!!!!!! LUNAAAAA!!!!!!!
Then a light and a dark aura appeared from the sky and they shot lightning at the Darklight Storm's big machine.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
My machine!
Darklight Storm jumped off from the machine and landed on the ground. Then the giant machine malfunctioned and fell to earth. The two auras revealed themselves to be Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Charlie and his team were unparalysed and looked surprised when they saw the princesses slowly fly to the ground.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
Phew! That was the best beauty sleep we ever had.
Charlie looked happy to see Princess Celestia and Princess Luna alive.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN (Happily):
Celestia! Luna!
Charlie ran up to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and hugged them.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You're alive!
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna hugged Charlie back.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
I told you to call out our names.
Charlie let go of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Wait, did my grandfather give you two a potion that will bring you back to life if someone called out your name?
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna smiled.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
You're smart like Twilight. But the potion is called Phoenix.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Phoenix. So, it's like the potion from the Final Fantasy game series.
Princess Celestia looked happy when she saw Charlie in his humacorn form.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
I see you've become a humacorn. I am so proud of you.
PRINCESS LUNA:
We have to put our reunion on hold, sister. We still have one thing to take care of.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna turned to Darklight Storm who looked scared when she saw them.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
It's impossible! The Storm Queen destroyed you.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna slowly walked up to Darklight Storm.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
She did. But we came back.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna stood close to Darklight Storm.
DARKLIGHT STORM (Scared):
No, please don't hurt me! Please!
PRINCESS LUNA:
You know what's good for you, Darklight. You may have Starlight's body, but you're not her. Starlight Glimmer was evil, but her life turned around when Twilight became her teacher and she helped me and my sister after she switched our Cutie Marks. But my point is everypony must help each other with belief, friendship and magic. And that makes us believe that friendship is magic. (Canterlot voice) NOW LEAVE MARETIME BAY AND NEVER RETURN!!
Darklight Storm got up from the ground and looked angry.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
You may have won this round, but my friends will stop your humacorn and his friends. So, remember this, ancient Equestria is still ruled by the Storm Queen.
After Darklight Storm magically vanished, all the ponies looked surprised when they saw Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
EARTH PONY:
It's the ancient princesses!
UNICORN:
Celestia and Luna!
PEGASUS:
There the ones who taught Princess Twilight about friendship!
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna looked at Sunny Starscout and they walked up to her.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
Sunny Starscout, is it?
Sunny Starscout looked surprised.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Princess Celestia and Luna! My dad told me a lot about you.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
And your father told us that you're a very brave pony. And it took a lot of courage to unite everypony and restore the magic of friendship.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
So, you know my dad is a humacorn!
PRINCESS LUNA:
Yes. He told us in his letters, while we're looking after Charlie.
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
And we know Charlie is your cousin.
PRINCESS LUNA:
We haven't told him, but we will later.
Charlie smiled, while Sunny Starscout introduced the princesses to her friends.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Your Majesties, these are my friends, Hitch Trailblazer and Izzy Moonbow.
Hitch Trailblazer and Izzy Moonbow bowed to the princesses.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
It's an honour to meet you, Your Majesties.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Is it true that you banished Luna to the moon before the Guardians of Harmony reformed her?
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
Yes, it's true.
Izzy Moonbow looked excited.
IZZY MOONBOW (Excited):
I knew it!
Izzy Moonbow danced with joy. Suddenly Captain Celeano's airship appeared in Maretime Bay. Sprout Cloverleaf panicked when he thought it was another enemy airship.
SPROUT CLOVERLEAF:
Another airship!
All the ponies panicked when they saw the airship was about to make a landing, until Charlie calmed them down after he recognised it.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Wait, calm down! I know that ship!
After the airship landed in the centre of town, Princess Skystar flew from the airship, landed close to Charlie.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Charlie?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Skystar.
Princess Skystar ran up to Charlie and hugged him.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Happily):
Oh, Charlie!
Princess Skystar gave Charlie a big kiss.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
I knew you were alive when I saw that light. Did you get my message?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Yeah, I did. And you called me my love.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
That's because, I love you, Charlie.
Charlie smiled.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I love you, too.
Princess Skystar looked at Charlie's humacorn form.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
You've became a humacorn.
Princess Skystar squealed happily.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Squealed):
EEEEE!!! I knew this would happen!
Princess Skystar looked surprised when she saw Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Celestia! Luna! You're alive!
PRINCESS CELESTIA:
Of course, we are, sweetie.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
But how?
PRINCESS LUNA:
With a little help from Charlie's grandfather.
Izzy Moonbow looked surprised when she saw Princess Skystar.
IZZY MOONBOW:
It's a hippogriff!
The deck hatch on the airship suddenly opened. Malcolm, Tempest Shadow, Grubber, Capper, Captain Celeano and her pirate crew emerged. Malcolm saw his son and he couldn't believe his eyes.
