Chapter 14 - Losing a beauty

This person had purple hair and a face akin to that of an angel. Her lips alone could make one fall into a sort of trance.

This was the definition of beauty.

At this point, her cheeks were red with embarrassment as she looked at Wilder; she hadn't expected him to turn the light on all of a sudden.

"Wosh," she quickly got up from Wilder, threw her robe on, and left the room in a hurry, all the while Wilder was still in a daze.

He had researched the life of the previous owner of this body, and he still didn't know who this person was, so it was natural for him to be shocked at her coming into his room and doing it with him.

"Wait a minute, what the hell did I just do?!" Wilder smacked himself on the head. He was just realizing that he had chased her away with that stunt.

"What if she never comes back?" Wilder felt like beating himself with a huge stick as he stood up from his bed and rushed out of the door in search of the purple-haired girl.

But after a few seconds of running down the dorms corridor, he couldn't find her.

Wilder then went back to his room, disappointed. He laid on the bed with a sad sigh.

Curiosity really does kill cats (pun intended).

,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Two days past, Wilder woke up down in the dumps. The purple-haired girl did not visit him after the incident that night; he had really screwed up.

He did his normal routine, did some exercises, and took a shower.

But just as he was leaving the shower,

"Bang!, Bang!" the sound of someone knocking frantically at his door resounded

"hm?" Wilder looked at the door with a frown; he wasn't expecting anyone.

Wilder reached for his old walking cane, even though he didn't need it anymore, he still kept it close out of instinct.

He walked to the door and peered out,

The person that stood outside the door was none other than Liam. He stood outside with a very nervous look on his face.

"Ahh," a scream echoed all of a sudden as Liam was dragged into Wilders room.

"What the hell, mehn? Why did you do that?!" Liam complained

He didn't see a need for Wilder to drag him in, as if they were dealing some sort of illegal substance.

"Sorry, habits" Wilder scratched his head coyly.

He was used to doing that; years on the run had made him very cautious, and the memories were still fresh in his mind.

"what's wrong?" Wilder asked

Liam didn't frequent his house that much; their meetings were usually in games or at the academy, and since he wasn't going to the academy for a while, they didn't see each other as much other than his little visits.

As soon as Liam heard that his composure had changed

"I decided to ditch class today so we could train. There's this new training equipment my old man brought over yesterday; we can check it out together," Liam explained to Wilder

"Oh," Wilder nodded slightly.

And so he put on his clothes and followed Liam to their family compound.

"Yeah, it's inside here," Liam said as he opened the door to the training facility.

The place hadn't changed at all since yesterday, but it was clean. Squeaky clean, Wilder stood there for a few seconds, taking in the atmosphere.

"Are you going to stand there all day?" Liam said with a bit of irritation in his voice, beckoning Wilder with his hand as if he were some kid.

"Hehe, why don't you tell me why I'm really here?" Wilder voice difted over as he appeared behind Liam with his walking cane.

As soon as Liam heard that, his first thought was to run, but Wilder pressed his cane against Liam's neck in the next second, preventing him from moving.

"Let me go!" Liam struggled, but to no avail.

"Not until you tell me what is waiting for me inside," Wilder said to Liam.

He had noticed Liam's expression earlier; he was clearly nervous about something, and though he didn't believe that Liam would be able to do anything to harm him, he still had to be cautious.

He didn't want the incident with Jetson to repeat itself once again.

"Come on, mehn, there's nothing there, I swear." Liam kept struggling, but after a few minutes, he finally spilled the beans.

Apparently Liam's mom had seen Wilder enter and leave the training facility the last time he was here, and she threatened him that she would tell his father if he didn't bring Wilder over here.

"And why does your mother want to see me?" Wilder was genuinely puzzled by this.

He hadn't met the lady before, and now, out of nowhere, she was requesting his presence? Wilder didn't know what to think of it, but he knew that he owed Liam; after all, it was his fault for making Liam give him the keys against his will.

"What's the worst she can do?" Wilder thought in his mind that she was a public figure; no way would she murder him for something stupid.

"Let's go," Wilder finally agreed.

"Pheww," Liam sighed in relief as he rubbed his neck.

"he recovered fully?" He thought that a wounded Wilder would definitely not be able to hold him down like this.

But even at that, Wilder's grip was too strong; it didn't seem normal. Clearly, his training was paying off.

They walked side by side inside the training facility until they got in front of a door placed so strategically that Wilder had never seen it before.

Well, to be fair, he didn't really go around the training facility exploring.

But this door looked like it was meant to be hidden.

"Click." Liam stepped forward and opened the door.

The room was dimly lit, but some lab equipment could be seen right away with just a brief scan of the surroundings.

But

"There's no one here." Wilder mused

He then slowly turned back to Liam, but like a magician, Liam disappeared.

"shit!!" Wilder saw it coming a mile away, but still couldn't believe that Liam had just up and disappeared like that.

As Wilder was contemplating what to do next, he heard a feminine voice from behind him.

"Oh, so you are wilder"

Wilder immediately tried to jump forward, but before he could even take a step, a pair of hands wrapped around his lower abdomen area.

"what the…." He felt two poking sensations on his back, followed by softness.

Behind Wilder was none other than Liam's mother, who had ordered that Wilder be brought here in the first place.
