Synopsis
When Micha, a Twenty-one-year-old omega was sold off to an Alpha Prince for his rut, she thought that would be the end of her life. Because the prince has a curse: whoever he is intimate with on his rut would die if it isn't his mate. And what's worse is that in their world, fated mates are so rare that it almost doesn't exist. The cruelty of the people who have raised her has torn her heart. And the thought of death? She is horrified by it. But what if fate has its own plan for her? What if she turned out to be the cure of his curse? What if she happens to be the fated one of the cursed prince?

Chapter 1 - Twist Of Fate.

Maybe she shouldn't have been born at all.

Maybe she was the cursed one here. Maybe if she wasn't born at all or perhaps if she was dead with her mother, she would not be thrown into a hell like this.

But it doesn't matter how much Micah hates the life she is living, she is just horrified by the thought of death. She is scared to be entangled by the darkness. She is scared of nothingness.

The tears keep sweeping down Micah's cheek in a never-ending stream. Her eyes are too swollen to remain open yet she keeps staring at the crying girl who is staring right back at her in the mirror.

With a final drag of the blade in between her fingers, the long hair that she keeps nourishing for years drops on the cold wooden floor beneath her feet. Lifeless.

Now she almost can't recognize the girl in the mirror. Hair barely touching her shoulder. The Micah with long golden hair and an optimistic smile on her full lips is nowhere to be found. Lost in the darkness. Dead before being dead. The door to her bedroom flies open. she is surprised that she doesn't even flinch, maybe it's because she was expecting this.

she is like a sculpture. Lifeless. Her legs are rooted in the floor and she cannot move or perhaps she doesn't want to.

Micah heard screaming. And feels a hand yanking her back from the mirror, fingernails digging into her skin. The pain is creeping inside her yet no more tears were born and her petal lips don't part for a whimper.

"Oh, my moon! What have you done!" The voice that she despises the most pierces into her ears and it pains her more than any wound would ever have.

"You little shit! what have you done? Proving that you are worth nothing? It's nothing we don't already know!" Ezline screams at Micah's face.

Micah's eyes raise to the woman's face, how she wishes she could burn her with the wrath blazing in her orbs. "I'm worth nothing, Huh? Maybe that's why you are selling me off to some cursed prince so you and your family can escape from this shithole and live a luxurious life forgetting you sacrificed a life for your own filthy pleasure!" Venom drips down each of the words that flee from Micah's quivering lips.

Ezline's eyes widened as if Micah's retort poisoned her just like she wanted it to. Her fingers tightened on Micah's arms. And she is sure blood is seeping out from the cut Ezline made there.

"How dare you! How dare you talk back to me like that?" She pushes Micah back so hard that she falls on the floor with a loud thud.

Ezline hovered over her, her fingers now digging into Micah's damp cheeks as she clasped her jaw in a death grip. "You won't get away from this no matter how hard you try, little girl. Not when you don't even have a say over your life now. You are hooked." A laugh slips away from her ugly mouth. And Micah yearns to break her nose so badly. She would have if she knew how to throw a punch that would draw blood.

Micah heard footsteps approaching. Dread crawls onto her skin. No matter how hard she tries to be brave, she was once a very naive girl. The remains of that girl still cling to her soul.

Ezline's older daughter, Erin stands by the doorway of Micah's tiny bedroom with all her glory. A gasp escapes her pink lips as her eyes find Micah in the corner, Her eyes darkening like a wild storm, Micha can feel the heat of her glare burning her skin.

She scrambles to the two of them and pushes her mother's hand away from Micah's aching jaw. Breathing heavily, Micah's eyes narrow at her in a challenge. She knows Erin won't lay a finger at her. Unlike her mother, Erin knows how to keep her anger under control.

"So you are fighting, huh?" She asks Micah. Her green eyes flash red for a fraction of a second. "Do you know that you are dead before being dead?" A dreadful laugh escapes her mouth. "Do you know your fate is already written by us?" Her feet carry her farther toward Micah. She can feel her heartbeat picking up at Erin's alpha voice, she can feel her hands getting clammy.

"Do you know, you can change nothing now?" Erin runs her fingers through Micha's cheeks ever so gently that she almost doesn't feel her touch. "You are lucky that you are so sickeningly pretty no matter what you do to yourself. " Her gaze touches Micha's hair before her fingers do.

"They'll still take you in, Micha." Erin's breath ghosts over Micah's face. She fists Erin's short hair in her hands and pulls her face away from her own.

"How can you be so sure, Erin? They might never want an omega looking like an Alpha." She grits.

Erin scoffs, her deep voice cutting through the air, "Do you look like me? like an alpha?" She comes so close that Micah doesn't dare to breathe. "Just because you cut your hair as short as mine doesn't make you an Alpha, you sweet little omega." She breathes into my face.

"And maybe I should have claimed you as mine if my mother didn't desperately crave luxury." A wicked smile curves her lips.

"Don't act as if you don't want that too." Micah growls.

A thunderous laugh breaks through Erin, and Micah flinches away.

"Maybe I do." She graces the bruise her mother left on Micah's jaw. Her eyes darken as she sets her jaw.

"Your stupid ass doesn't know she needs to be as fresh as a newly bloomed flower when we ship her off from here?" Erin growls at her mother, flashing her sharp canines. A shiver runs through my spine at the mere thought of what is to happen.

"I'm sorry, I just lost it," Ezline says, her voice faltering.

Erin won't stop glaring at her mother as she rose to her feet, dusting off the imaginary dirt on her emerald silk shirt. Micah lies motionless on the floor, head resting on the wall behind her as her eyes follow Erin's every movement.

The rumbling of the engine cuts through the air and Micah's blood turns cold in her veins.

Erin looks at her over her shoulder, her lips twisting viciously as she says: "They are here for you, darling."
