Chapter 2 - Take a deep breath and exhale

Thud!

"Hiss" I groaned in pain as I landed on my butt after struggling to climb the wall. "I can do it!", I tell myself while brushing off the dust that covered my clothes. "How on earth do I spend my time watching the Harry Potter series, not just one, but all of them? This is putting me behind schedule." I mumbled under my breath while climbing the wall until I reached the top and landed safely inside the school. With a smile on my face, I whispered happily, "Finally!".

I walked into my class with a smile on my face and greeted my friend cheerfully as usual and started chatting. We talked until the teacher came and the noise soon died down because we needed attention to concentrate in the classroom. Senior year, as you are aware. Of course, we must really concentrate! Damn, I think it's incredibly difficult to pay attention, but I'm not a genius, I must concentrate. I kept my eyes open and tried to listen until it kept close...close...close....

Ring! Ring! Ring!

The bell ringing sign for the recess. I was startled and quickly put my books into my bag till I discovers something strange. I turned to glance around, only to discovered that I was the only student present. "Where is my best friend?" I mumbled to myself. I made no attempt to hide the disappointment on my face that my best friend, who was supposed to be waiting for me to go into recess with me, instead left without me. I'll repeat it to you guys 'left' without me. I sigh quietly, like I always do every day.

Silent whispering across the pathway as all the students were busy stuffing their stomachs at the canteen. I went to the canteen alone and bought nuggets and fries. "Thank you." I thanked the auntie (stall employee) while handing her the money. My gaze swept the canteen, there was a bunch of boys fighting each other but not too tough, just some cursing and no hand in action. While the girls, as usual, gossip. I try to find my best friend among the sea of students but end up nothing. I sighed.

I'm sitting alone on a bench in front of an ugly little waterfall. This is seriously ugly to me. #justenjoyit. Suddenly, my view is blocked and there, another of my non-best friends appeared in front of me while smiling. "Hey, what did you eat?" She asked. "Um, some nuggets and fries, I don't know what to eat, almost half the meal is empty." I shrugged while eating. "That's true, they are like a group of lions storming towards their prey. Shusssh! All of the food missing without noticed." She spoke while laughing and I chuckled softly.

"Well, you see, I think our senior year was tough. You know I usually get Math fails, so how am I meant to keep my score high without failing? I hated Math, and I believe that is why I constantly failed it. Math irritates me." I spoke, fidgeting my fingers while chuckling and raising my eyes to gaze at her. But then I noticed she wasn't paying attention to what I was saying, and my chuckle faded.

My eyes follow her gaze, there is, her boyfriend smiles at her. I scanned my honest eyes and described her boyfriend. He is tall, has tanned skin, and is generally athletics, while she, I draw my eyes back towards her, she's so pretty, with white pale skin and pink plum lips.

There is a sound of ding in my mind, notifying me that they are, 'a match made in heaven'. I look again at her boyfriend which I want to list all the questions that I had in my mind and ask her, 'What did you like about him? ' Which I will never ask. I moved my gaze away from his boyfriend and turned to her. "It's your boyfriend." I smirked. "Yeah, I've been with him for a year now, I don't think we'll last that long, you know, the ups and downs of a relationship." She responds cheerfully while blushing. I smiled softly towards her and forgot what had happened before.

See, I've never been mad at my friends. It's not in my character to become enraged over trivial matters. It seems that I easily forget what makes me angry after seeing them happy. I sigh heavily and look up at the blue sky, deep in thought.

NOTE:

My other non- best friend is also my classmate

Poetic feels:

It's the same sky; we live.

Too windy; too feels.

Too far, too reach.

Missing each star that we make a wish.

Will I be going to lose you forever?
