Safia slept through the morning and aroused when she heard a noisy voice, it sounded as if more than two people were having having an altercation. However, their voices weren't obvious as if they were far absent from her.
She opened her eyes and shut them instantly when the luminous light invaded her sight. As soon as her senses snapped to function, she could feel the soft silk blanket that enclosed her body and the bed devoured her fully.
If someone happen to walk into the room, they wouldn't be competent to tell if she was there or not. She was entirely out of sight due to how fragile she was.
Safia shielded her eyes from the blinding light with both of her hands and swiveled her back from the window where the blazing sun sourced from. When her eyes deliberately adjust with it, she lessened her hands.
The soft pillows made Safia reluctant to lift her head and inspect her surroundings again. She had solely forgotten about her first woken because Kash had sailed it away from her memories, making it look she had now woke up from her protracted sleep. So she couldn't recall how she ended up slumbering on the bed, the last thing she memorized was the calming patters of the rain against the car which jerked her into a deep slumber.
Austin must have carried her into that room and she didn't recall anything about it.
Reminded of him,,,'where is he?".
Safia nudged her body to sit as her eyes meandered around the room. It was a huge room with a set of windows against the wall accompanied by Italian - style doors that led to the balcony. The doors were closed but the lacy soft blue curtains were pulled open.
This room was five times gigantic than the whole of her apartment floor and of course more extraordinary. There was 72 inch television spotted on the wall infront of her and a set of six comfortable and fashionable looking davenport on the other side of the room with a hoop table in the middle.
Safia got off from the bed as the soft woven rug on the floor welcomed her feet when she stepped out from the solace of the bed. She was completely oblivious by the argument that was still ongoing behind the door.
She got hypnotized by the splendid Indian chandelier hanging from the awning in the middle of the room that was sparkling under the sunlight when the door burst open and made her startled.
The burst of the door endangered the most prettiest woman Safia had ever seen in her life time walking into the room. Her long blonde hair fell gracefully behind her back that reached her hips. She was donning a flattering blue dress that hugged her body tightly with a V neck collar that made her cleavage show in full display.
" Jade!,,you are not supposed to enter this room!". A burly man with a full arms tattoo on his left hand pursued her promptly and grabbed the elbow of the woman who ostensively name Jade.
" Supreme Alpha Austin made it clear to all of us not to allow anyone to come inside this room". He snorted in frustration.
" Do I look like just an anyone,,?". Jade brushed away the man's hand from her elbow and originated to approach Safia who had crouched beside a cabinet and was wandering what was going on.
She looked down at her bare feet nervously.
Safia didn't know who that woman was and despite her good look, she didn't feel comfortable when Jade approached her.
Jade very first question that unfortunately slipped out from her lips was,,,,"Are you Alpha Austin's mate,,?".
Safia didn't reasonably understand the word 'mate' and what was she striving to ask her. Even if she understood the description of the word 'mate' , she couldn't answer her nonetheless, because she couldn't comprehend which Austin she was pertaining to and moreover she calling him Alpha made her more confused. Who was she talking about?,,,, beside she only know one Austin and he isn't an Alpha.
The tattooed man decided to answer Jade's question when he noticed that Safia didn't even lift her head to look at that blonde woman. Jade was far older than Safia with almost 12years numerous if she is to say, so she was certainly given her the respect she deserves and moreover she didn't want to cause crisis since she didn't knew where she was yet.
" Yes, she is". He said legitimately and with a threatening tone when he continued.
" So, you better chose your words carefully and mind your attitude ".
Jade snorted by the warnings. She was in her killer 11centimeters high heels shoes, so the elegant figure like Safia would look so pathetic compared to her. Not to mention Jade was all curved and illustrated with a bling of diamonds when compared to Safia who was wearing a simple T-shirt that was bigger than her substantial size and a blue jeans. Though she got all curves also, but hers were quitely diminutive and cute.
Practically the princess and the maid when you look at both of them standing together.
Jade ignored his words and furrowed her arms as she introduced herself.
" I'm Jade Caspian". Her voice rang in Safia's ears as Jade was ample with enthusiasm that she, Safia didn't have.
" And you are?". Jade slanted her head graciously.
" That doesn't concern you". That man said.
" Did I asked you something?". Jade said and looked at the tattooed man upside down then carried on with whatever made her come there.
" Well if you won't allow her to tell me her name, hope her mouth isn't close and can eat right?".
Nonchalantly, she tugged Safia's hand drastically and dragged her out of the room.
Safia was being ushered out of the room with Jade who had grabbed hold of her hand tightly. She nullified her attempt to jiggle her away but that didn't help. She didn't like it when someone dragged her like that because it always remind her on how those doctors had treated her after glimpsing what happened to her family and ended up in the mental institution.
Fortunately the tattooed man caught up with them when Jade was about to open the door. He snapped Jade's hand which was holding Safia. Her grip was too tight and she refused to let her go, so it resulted in the unbearable pain on her wrist. She could basically feel Jade's long nails stabbed in her fresh and if Safia still decline to follow her to where ever she was taken her and keep attempting to free herself, with the same strength that Jade was using to by force her out, would leave some ugly scratches on her skin.
"I'm the daughter of Alpha Caspian!,,,how dare you just a common warrior tell me what to do!". Jade growled at the tattooed man as she tightened her grip on Safia's wrist
Safia tried to acquit her hand from Jade hold but she didn't budge an inch. She was too strong and if she keep continuing her tension on her hands, she could wreck them with ease.
The tattooed man saw the grin on Safia's face, despite her calmness. The pain that Jade caused was clear to see gazing at Safia's face.
" You are fucking hurting her!". He growled back at the beauty in front of him.
" Step back warrior!,,, I'm only taking her to have her lunch". She stomped her feet angrily and when the tattooed man tried to block her way, she hissed a warning at him.
" I won't let my years of serving Austin and having crushes on him be waste,,,, never! That won't happen when I'm still alive".
Jade literally dragged her all along the hallway. They entered the elevator and she pressed the button for the lobby.
Once they were in the elevator, Jade pulled back her hands which made Safia felt a bit relieved.
She stood at the corner of the elevator, cradled her hand with Jade standing next to her and the tattooed man near the elevator door.
" Supreme Alpha Austin will surely be mad at you for what you have just done now". The tattooed man said. Jade ignored his comment as she flickered her long blonde hair from her shoulders and shot a devious smile at Safia.
"So, she is really not talking,,,is she mute?". Her question was thickened with a mocking tone that made Safia look at her bare feet then back at her as if thinking of something. Only God knows what she was thinking about, maybe if she should have worn something on her feet she would have stumbled her with it for the stupid question she just uttered.
Jade dragged her out of the room without considering her appearance. Now, Safia was only wearing her oversized T-shirt with her blue looking ripped jeans without any slippers or shoes to cover her feet from the coldness of the floor.
