Chapter 11 - The Beginning!

Getha was a bit furious at him, at how he could declare her tribesmen dead without so much as feeling an hint of remorse in his tone.

In Sango's defense, he has also been surprised at how relatively calm he is about announcing the death of another so easily and unaffected.

He is not a member of those that died, nor does he have any formal ties or relation to them. With that said, he should still be capable of feeling remorse as one who had once lived on earth, and understood the pain that comes from losing a treasured memory.

Sango however, felt none of those. It was as if emotions has been filtered out of his head and only rationality and a calm state of mind remained in him.

The pain that Getha is going through, to him can only be considered as an insignificant waste of valuable time.

Being in pain or crying over spilt milk, does not reverse the damage that has already been inflicted on it.

The dead is the dead, and the living is the living. The living should continue living and not get themselves stuck up in the remnants of the past; is what he feels as he gaze his eyes on her.

Why Sango's thought process is this screwed up, is due to the effect of his God holder class.

In LORDS, it was an effect that calms him down and helps rationalize his thoughts. The effect was good for when he is in battle, to stay calm and collected.

But now that he has been transported into this world, he has tried turning it off to regain his emotional composure. So far, he has not had any luck on that.

Getha looked at Sango in annoyance for not showing remorse toward the death of her tribe members.

She walked closer to Sango, and kicked him on his leg. An aggressive kick that was not even enough to have Sango worried.

"it is all because of you. If you hadn't existed, my tribe would never have ended up like this".

She continued kicking and punching Sango with tears falling uncontrollably from her eyes as she takes out her frustration on his leg.

"that is enough kid".

Sango stretched out his hand and gave her body a light push, distancing her from his leg.

Getha was pushed back with her steps traced three times before she fell on her butt while in tears.

"you are not the only one who lost something. Thanks to ending up in this world, I lost someone closest to me, and now I don't even know if I am ever going to get them back".

Is what he said, but his expression and tone does not match with that of someone who is in grief about losing an important person.

He looked far too calm with his tone also sounding normal to have Getha believe what he just said to be true.

As annoyed as Getha is with Sango, she strangely enough found herself also getting composed by looking at his face.

His stoic expression somehow puts her wounded heart at ease, giving her the chance to recollect her self from her sorrowful state.

"it started with a story the elder told us about".

Getha wiped off the tears drawing down from her eyes, and picked herself up from the ground to explain to Sango how his statue came to be in the possession of her tribesmen.

It all happened many, many years ago, according to what the Goblin elder said.

He wasn't alive when the event happened, but he inherited the tale of it from his ancestors just as how his ancestors also inherited it from their previous ancestors, a cycle tracing back to when the event took place.

There was a time when the world was in shambles and disorderliness reigned amongst all.

Each race were always at war with the other, the blood of their brethren spilled with every passing day.

Whenever the clouds opened up its belly to pour down its insides, the waters that would wash down on the world, was used to cleanse the remnants of the blood that has been spilled from the constant fighting.

In those days, there was not such a thing as the Gods, only the existence of higher beings prevailed, and even they do not last long as they can be killed when confronted by another such existence.

The hierarchy of power was always moving around and never stood in one spot for too long before being dethroned by another.

That was what the state of the world was like back in those days. Never a moment of respite for the young, old, and newly born.

But, everything came to an abrupt halt with the existence of entities that stood tall amongst all, showing their dominance with the overwhelming power and might that they wield.

With a sounding tone echoed out from their mouth, they put an end to all tranquilities that have troubled the world for as long as they could remember.

A wave of their hands casted like a shadow covering the world, brought back to it, the life that it was deprived of.

The skies payed homage to their presence, and the earth shook in submission of their might.

Their presence alone commanded an extreme sense of authority, and they used that authority to put an end to the war fought across the world and restore order and balance to it.

When peace had reigned across the world, the ten of the strongest entities that appeared, crowned themselves as Gods, rulers of the world.

And the other entities who were lacking before the ten, but still far stronger than what any being could realize, were crowned as Demi-Gods.

The Gods took it upon themselves to reside above, in a place where no ordinary hand could reach. And from there, they rule over all that stretches across the land.

The Demi-Gods, resided amongst the ordinary as a means through which they can be used to access the almighty Gods.

Sango payed listening ears to Getha as she continued to explain this world's past to him.

In her explanation, he was able to draw out a few consistency of his own, building it layers by layer and from it, he was carving out an assumption that could lead to how his statue ended up here.
