Chapter 17 - Seemingly Indestructible

"it appears I have signed myself up for a task that is beyond my capacity".

Sango sighed as he turned his head upward to look at the sky that is starting to get clear with the darkness slowly fading away.

"what if you make me your apostle? According to what grandpa has told me, all Gods apostles end up becoming powerful people".

Sango's gaze was immediately shifted from looking above to looking at Getha.

The word apostle is not a term used in LORDS, but the effect she made mention of just now piqued Sango's interest.

"Apostle? What is that"

"they are those who are directly chosen by the Gods".

The Goblin elder would always tell the younger ones stories of the past to enlighten their knowledge of it, and make them aware of the world's history.

It was a fun time for Getha who gets to pay attentive ears to epic like tales that she could only have the pleasure of seeing through her imaginations.

The apostles are Gods chosen one's who act as the representative for the Gods.

There is something wrong here. Earlier, the Demi-Gods were listed as a body representing the Gods whose presence cannot be seen, and that is half right.

The Demi-Gods entities are tasked with taking on the roles of Gods among mortals.

They are not the representatives of the actual nine Gods, but an image of an half God who resides with the mortals, living in their midst and accessible to be communicated with directly by mortals in high position.

The Apostles on the other hand, are those personally chosen by the nine Gods to act as their representatives amongst the mortals.

The effect of having an apostle includes the use of divine powers that can only be granted unto by the Gods and the Sovereigns.

The divine power comes in form of a status that displays the chosen apostles growth rate and their current ability.

Being a chosen apostle also grants them immense strength that differentiates them from normal mortals, making them even higher than the so called genius.

A Gods chosen apostle is able to grow faster than any mortal does.

For example, a task that would need about a month for a mortal to complete would require the apostle to finish the same job in at most five or two hours.

That is how high the difference is between an apostle chosen and a normal human.

An apostle also has the opportunity to access the evolutionary tree of whatever race they belong to, taking them through an evolutionary circle once the requirements are met with.

An ordinary mortal does not have the privilege of evolving into an higher being under their racial tree, only the few geniuses are capable of pulling off such feats without being chosen by the Gods.

Even in such case, the growth rate of the genius would still pale in comparison to the one chosen as a Gods apostle.

In such circumstances, the Gods always make sure to go for the talented genius to crown as their apostle as they will have an even exponential growth compared to when they choose one that is not a genius.

"how do I appoint you as an apostle".

Sango is a God, even if it is through his class that he attained from a game, it still puts him as a God, and he has the statue of him in this world to prove it.

If he truly is capable of appointing Getha as an apostle, it would help Sango's thought to solidify his existence as a God in this world, and not just as a monster or a player with a God class title.

It would also give me some grounds to have Getha's story prove to be more believable to his ears.

"an Apostle can be chosen by praying to the God one wishes to be blessed by. But grandpa said the ways of the old, when the Gods were still living amongst us, they would give others their blood to the one they chose as their apostle and have them drink it".

"hmm..."

Sango went ahead to search for any sharp object he could use to pierce his body with and have blood flowing out from it.

He wanted to try out the blood type apostle appointment process as that sounded more believable and potent compared to just praying.

He got his hand on a wooden thorn by jumping on one of the tall trees and cutting its branch.

He sharpened the edge of the branch using his claws to scrape of the unwanted parts, making it out as a really pointy needle.

Sango stretched out his left palm, and with the thorn on his right palm, he stabbed his left palm with it.

The thorn made contact with his palm and broke into pieces without dealing any damage to Sango's palm or so much as leaving a scratch on it.

It appears Sango has discovered that he as a God, has an indestructible like body constitution.

At this rate, it was pointless for him to try other weapons because the ones he would have access to in his current state, are weapons found on the ground.

Those type of weapons can be considered as low rank weapons that would be no different from how the thorn turned out.

"it seems we will have to settle with you praying to me".

Just in case, Sango tried out one more thing before he decides to have Getha pray to him.

"ice dagger!"

He had his right palm forward when he called out the spell he casted. Sure enough, a dagger was quick to form in his hand using ice as it's constructive form.

It was a low rank spell that involved Sango making use of his own elemental, not the ones he copied from others, but his personal elemental that came with his class, that is why he never needed to use his grimoire summon skill to cast the spell, and also because the spell's rank was not worth bringing out his grimoire.

He used the dagger on his right hand to stab his left palm in hopes that it would pierce through his skin.

He is a God, and his skin is constituted as being indestructive to low rank weapons, but what about the kind of weapons made using the mana of a God? (Mana, otherwise known as MP)

Like Sango had guessed, the ice spear was able to pierce through his skin, but the wound did not last long nor draw out blood as his regeneration was able to kick in, immediately sealing up the wound like it never happened.
