"huff!! huff!!"
An absence deprived of life and only the desolate embarkment of fear and terror riding along with it.
The glistening of the sun could not be seen and the arrays of the moon vanished from the sky, leaving behind the shadows to roam in its comfort of entirety.
In the presence of the emptiness that reigned in the space, came the carved out figure in form of a robust man hot on his heels, doning on a expensive looking pajamas.
The robust man for reasons known only to him, ran for his dear life as he constantly takes out of his time to turn his head behind him, gaze into the shadows that was following in his footsteps.
Looking into the darkness, his hair tingled as every cells in his body reverberated in admonishment of his current circumstance.
He was rejected by whatever courageous side he once had, with the only instinct now in function being the one that gave him the mental message to keep running without stopping for even a moment of breathe.
Unfortunately for the man, there was only so far he could run with an obese size like his before his body fails him by running out of breathe and stamina to keep on thriving.
As the robust man was running, he had his face turned backward then ended up tripping and fell face flat on the ground.
"why the hurry, Lord Zarek!".
The voice came from within the shadows, igniting fear and authority contained in the tone used to vocal out.
Zarek's body on the ground shrieked in fear as he drags his body away from the voice, trying to get as far away from him as he could.
"get away from me!!!!"
Zarek sounded terrified and mortified as he yelled into the darkness, rebuking a presence whose physical appearance he has yet to see.
"you have a debt to pay back, and only then will I leave you be".
The sound had gotten closer to Zarek, and was now as if it was whispering into his ears.
From the darkness came the imagination of a dreadful looking palm coated in burning flame with all six of its fingers stretched apart.
The palm reached out to Zarek from the front and shrouded his body whole in it, covering him like a human does to an ant.
"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!. Get away from me!! Get away from me!!"
Like a man in heat, Zarek jumped up from his luxurious bed and banged his body heavily on the ground, wailing and flailing his hands up in the air like a man gone mad.
It took a while for Zarek to calm down and take a good look at his surroundings.
Surrounded not by the darkness that he feared, but by luxurious items placed in several locations in the extended room large enough to accommodate ten grown men.
The items glamored up the room also with the help of the glowing lanterns fixed on the walls covered in gold.
Zarek breathed a sigh of relief and got himself up to move back on the bed he had fallen from.
The dream he just had was far too scary and dangerous to his health, almost leading him to get into a state of panic.
"!!!!"
Zarek in his moment of relieve was washed over by a sense of fright much like the one he experienced in the dream he just woke up from.
The lanterns that brightened up the room suddenly burst open with a loud sound before exploding.
Without the lanterns, the room went solemnly dark like the night devoid of moon had descended upon it.
Zarek on his bed was panicking at the occurrence, shivering even, in fear for his life.
He hastily got up from the bed and ran in the direction of the door. His legs hit multiple objects that Zarek never bothered himself to care about.
What his intentions were drawn to, is the desire to reach the door and get the hell out of the room as fast as possible.
Zarek finally got to the door and pushed it open, but contrary to his believe, the door did not budge at all.
He pushed and pull, trying all aggressive methods at his disposal just so he could get the door open.
"do not bd so frightened, Lord Zarek"
Zarek felt his heart drop at the sound of the voice that called out to him.
"GUARDS!! GUARDS!! ANYBODY!! HELP!!".
Zarek from his room, screamed out to the guards who should be patrolling his mansion and keeping it safe from intruders.
With the tone he used in yelling out, his voice should be able to get to them in time to come to his rescue.
"don't bother. I have splitted apart the space connecting your room to your mansion, and made it a stand alone entity".
At the words spoken out by the voice, Zarek's body lost all strength within and his legs uncontrollably fell to the ground, dragging the rest of his body along with it.
"in case you don't know what it means. It means no one will be able to hear you no matter how loud you scream. It is just you and me in here".
It felt as if the voice was just at his back whispering into his ears in a calm collected tone that showed no hint of distress or panic.
"please! Whoever sent you to me! I can pay you double the amount you were given!".
Zarek's instinct yelled at him, his manliness begging for him to not do anything that would irritate whoever the voice belonged.
He resorted to using what is at his disposal, money to buy his way out of his predicament.
Whoever owned the voice, must have been contracted by one of his enemies. And Zarek, was willing to pay a certified amount to bail himself out.
When he survives this, he will be sure to find out which one amongst his enemies did this to him, and see to it that he pays them back tenfold.
