Sarah woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She groggily reached for it on the nightstand and answered.
"Hello?" she mumbled.
"Sarah, it's Alex. We need to talk," he said urgently.
"Can it wait? I just woke up," Sarah grumbled, rubbing her eyes.
"No, it can't wait. Meet me at the TechCore Industries building in an hour," Alex said before hanging up.
Sarah groaned, feeling more tired than ever. She dragged herself out of bed and got dressed in her Shadow costume, wondering what could be so urgent that Alex would call her this early.
When she arrived at TechCore Industries, Alex was already waiting for her in the lobby.
"Thanks for coming so quickly," he said, leading her to a private conference room. "I need your help with something."
"What is it?" Sarah asked, taking a seat.
Alex pulled up a holographic display on the table, showing a blueprint for some kind of advanced suit.
"This is Project: Phoenix," Alex explained. "It's a suit that TechCore Industries has been developing for years. It's supposed to enhance the wearer's abilities, making them almost superhuman."
Sarah was skeptical. "And why do you need my help with this?"
"Because I've been working undercover at TechCore Industries to investigate Project: Phoenix, and I've found out that they're planning to use it for their own gain. They want to sell it to the highest bidder, no matter what the consequences may be."
Sarah's eyes widened. "That's not good. So, what do you need me to do?"
"I need you to help me steal the Project: Phoenix prototype before it's too late," Alex said, his eyes determined.
Sarah hesitated. "I don't know, Alex. This seems like a really dangerous mission."
"I know, but it's important. We can't let TechCore Industries use Project: Phoenix for their own gain. Will you help me?"
Sarah looked at Alex, seeing the determination in his eyes. She knew she couldn't say no.
"Okay, I'm in," she said, feeling a rush of adrenaline at the thought of a new challenge.
Alex grinned. "Great. Let's get started."
