Chapter 9 - Drama

Grown—

"Ugh… What happened?" My body is sore and exhausted. The last thing I remembered was fainting after shooting an arrow with Vijaya. My eyes still feel droopy, like elephants are sitting on them. Now that I mention it, something feels heavy on my chest.

"A-Ah— U-Uh— BROTHER YOU LOLICON PERVERTED PEDOPHILE!" Suddenly, my eyes took steroids and opened wide as I stared at my sister. She appeared stunned, angry, and confused. A chimera of emotions. I, too, was confused until I looked at what rested on my chest. Vijaya, the naked child, rests against my chest as the bow rests against it.

"I agree with Sister Suitchi here. A naked child caring for you and cuddling with you when you're knocked out is lolicon pedophilia. And if you're wondering, yes, I saw it all. I can see everything happening around you." Azathoth sounded rather disgusted and disappointed in me. Her tone of voice conveys it all.

Azathoth… This wasn't my fault! I promise it's all coincidence. And if you see what happens around me, didn't you see that I was, I don't know, knocked out?

"Fair point then." She still has that tone, ugh!

"S-Sister, this isn't what you think! I promise!—"

Wham!

Pow!

Sister starts punching me, and I take the hits like a punching bag. Help!

"Is it morning already? Master, have you recovered from— MASTER? GET OFF OF HIM, MEANIE!"

My sister is headbutted by Vijaya while they wrestle on the ground and hurl insults at each other. Goodness…

"Hey! You two stop! Let us talk this out and get it sorted out!" I yell at both of them as I chop the tops of their heads.

We calmed ourselves down as Azathoth got free comedy out of this situation.

"Alright, this is my mythological weapon as I am an archer. Sister Suitchi, this is Vijaya, one of many Hindu bows. And Vijaya, this is Suitchi, my elder sister. Please get along!" Hopefully, they'll get along. Just hopefully.

"Eh? So this is your weapon since you don't have one? I would ask where you got it from, as you didn't have one yesterday. But that aside, you could've gotten a much cuter one, couldn't you?" My sister seems to have not accepted Vijaya yet...

"I know you can't be talking! Master, why did your parents give birth to a monstrosity of a daughter, then an amazing son!?" Oh no, welp, time will win this argument. Azathoth, do you have popcorn with butter to watch this?

"I'm already ahead of you there!" Azathoth chews aggressively while talking.

Azathoth, don't speak while eating. That's disgusting. Don't you have pride as a supposed queen?

Wow, I got left on read in real life.

"Already you two, stop it; that'll get us nowhere. It's about time we got outside to visit the guild to find a party for me." I say as I look outside the window, the sun fully out, glaring into my eyes.

"Very well then. Let us head out and leave your bow here." Why do they hate each other so much?

"I object, master! Let us leave and abandon your sister here." Why do I have to put up with this?

"WE ALL GO, okay?" I say as I chop both of their heads.

"Sister, wait for us outside as I get Vijaya's clothes, okay?" I say this as I get ready to use creation magic.

"Very well then. Don't try anything fishy while I'm outside." Sister glares at Vijaya as she leaves my room.

"Yes, yes, I know." I think about a Japanese female archery uniform. Upper and lower clothing is decorated with unique floral and vine patterns. The upper base color is a gradient mix of blue, dark blue, and purple. And the skirt is composed of yellow, orange, and white. I thought about Vijaya's material and size.

Magical auras form, condense, and disperse. Creating clothing for Vijaya.

"Okay, Vijaya, try this on for me. Then we can get moving." I hand the items of clothing and accessories to Vijaya, and she excitedly accepts them.

Some time passes, and we leave the house and meet up with my sister. Luckily, our parents weren't home to see me with a little girl.

"Sister! Let us leave now!" I say as I signal her to follow me.

"With all the vibrant colors, she's slightly less imposing than before." She says as we walk, glaring at Vijaya.

"Here we go again..." Honestly, do I have to deal with this every day?

"From my understanding, this is a competition about conquering and defending. Suitchi defends what's hers, you. And Vijaya wants you. Too bad they don't know you're already taken by the Almighty Azathoth!"

As I said, I'd rather kill myself than date you. Plus, we aren't even official. I don't like you, and I know you don't like me.

"Ah, you're right. I'll continue to support you, though. Think of me as a guiding master in a game."

Thank you very much, Azathoth! I hate to admit it, but you're not all terrible.

"Neither are you."

That raises the question: what made me faint last night?

"Oh, that. You used up all your mana in that single shot. Weapons such as Vijaya require mana to use. The more mana, the more precise and accurate the shot will be when it reaches long distances. Or it could be how destructive and powerful it will be. Perhaps both. In your case, you used up all your magic by shooting so far."

Ah, I see. Does that mean I need to maintain a larger mana pool to provide Vajiya with constantly?

"Precisely."

What a double-edged sword!
