"Hey! Ite! Over here!" I called out, waving my hands at her to catch her attention.
"A-Ah, r-right!" She turns to look at me, accidentally giving me a nasty glare before tilting her head down.
I hold Vijaya in her bow form as I, my sister, and Ite walk inside the guild.
We walk inside the guild and are greeted by Sara. She leads us to the quest board to find a quest to do.
"So many quests—which one should we do?" I take a look at a few quests; they all have a difficulty rank, such as 'A' or 'B.'
"I'm fine with any..." Ite whispers as she fidgets with the unique bow she wields.
"I suggest we do a quest that helps Polyphor learn the ropes. So how about this quest here?" Sister points to a rank-D quest.
A quest to destroy a goblin camp.
"Okay, let's do it!" I grab the quest flyer and present it to Sara.
Sara takes the flyer and gives us a map of the location of the goblin camp.
"Alright, stay safe, you three. I look forward to your return." We walk out of the guild and walk toward the location indicated on the map.
"Goblins huh? Those little green shitheads that lack intelligence?"
Yes, Azathoth, those things. Why? Do you hate them?
"Yes, they are despicable miniature turds that run around. Back when I was alive, there was a guy who slayed goblins for a living. Nobody knows why though."
I think they made a manga about that. But I don't recall it since I'm not Lisa.
But since you're here, teach me the ways of magic, your majesty.
"Oho! Alright then! The majestic, almighty, and powerful Azathoth will help teach your feeble mind how to do a simple electric move to use in your archery." Her pride as Goddess of Magic disappointed me to many extents.
We walk ever closer to the destination as I practice what Azathoth told me. Electrical Surge.
Sister and Ite give suggestions on how to make it more powerful, as they are both significant magicians themselves.
After a couple of hours of walking, practicing, and talking, we arrived at the goblin camp.
But there is not just one camp; there are two. We only need to do one, so there's no need to overwork.
"Okay, we should plan this out--"
Before we could come up with a plan, Ite whipped out her bow and destroyed the whole camp with a single arrow.
"Huh?!?" It wasn't even a named attack!
It was a giant explosion, with debris everywhere in its surroundings.
Do I need this to be strong? Strong enough to fight and find answers? To find my Lisa?
After mass destruction, Sister shifted from surprise to excitement with "Ite you, showoff! I didn't even get a chance to do anything!".
"I-I-I-I'm sorry! It's just that I wanted to--" Ite got cut off mid-sentence by my sister.
"Save it! We attack another camp; this time it's my turn!" Why the hell are we going to do another one?
I try to talk my sister out of going to the second camp to destroy it as we walk toward it.
"Alright now, I want the thrill!" Sister says as she blitzes inside the camp's walls.
Decimating and leaving the goblins torn and shredded.
It's not long before she returns, not breaking a sweat.
"You've got a long road ahead of you, don't you think?" Azathoth sounded impressed, but she scoffed at it, knowing she could do it at many disadvantages.
Do you think I can get to that level, Azathoth?
"With me, yes, you can. Just give it time."
"Oh! I forgot we were supposed to teach Poly the ropes!" Oh right, I forgot myself.
"W-Well... Let's l... Let's report this back to the guild. And I'll teach him proper archery form."
"Good idea. Let us head back now."
As we walk back to the guild, Ite shyly teaches me how to draw a bow. As well as the quickest way to draw an arrow.
She suggested not carrying arrows, which is a waste of space and time. Instead, she said to create it after firing one.
She showed me examples of how valuable time is in archery, showing how slow premade arrows in your holster are. As well as how it limits mobility.
She said there are many types of arrow tips and bows. Hers is a recurve bow, as is mine.
I wonder if she has a mythological or historical bow like me.
This is the first time I have seen her not stutter as much when talking about archery. She seems very passionate about the sport.
After some time, we arrive back at the guild at sundown with proof of the camp's destruction. We are paid extra for the extra camp being destroyed.
"How do we split the payment for ten silver pieces?"
"I shouldn't get any; you two did all the work. You both were very amazing. You gals are leagues ahead of me." I said as I gave five silver pieces to my sister and Ite.
"A-Are you sure?" asked a trembling and flustered Ite. I think nobody praises her. Is that her kink?
"Yes, I'm sure. Anyway, let us report back here tomorrow at the same time. It's already late."
We walk out of the guild, with Sara bidding us farewell.
"B-Bye you two!" Ite says, running home.
Me and my sister both say goodbye to Ite as we walk home together. As we walk home, I wonder how I should improve myself further so I won't be a liability in future days to come.
