Chapter 13 - Azathoth's Tips

"Eh? Am I back in this frictionless, pitch-black place? Did I die in my sleep?" I look around me, greeted by Azathoth.

"It works! I can talk to you one-on-one in your sleep!" She says this boastfully while doing random poses.

"So you brought me here. What for Miss Chuunibyo?" Bowing down like a gentleman.

"I said, call me Azathoth. Anyway, I brought you here to discuss how to find a suitable and comfortable fighting method. I know some things about it." She creates multiple digital boards regarding fighting styles.

"Interesting! You have all these styles, but which one do you recommend, o' great one?" I look around at the various tabs with various names and descriptions.

"Ah, yes, continue to call me a master! But alas, there are some I recommend to you through your physicality, magical prowess, and class." She says it proudly and boastfully, like a king or queen.

The archer type isn't very exciting or noteworthy, y'know. Shoot an arrow, no biggy. There is some magic in the name of your class, but you were built for both." Azathoth wanders around the boards, gathering specific tablatures.

I grab a pile of tablets given to me. Read them as soon as I get them.

"There hasn't been a powerful archer for years, decades, even centuries. There is nobody who is going to be the next Karna or Rama. The majority of celestial bows are unfound. Lucky for you, I know what all of them are, as well as arrows." Azathoth sounds more like a teacher than her usual Chuunibyo self. She should stay like that. Be careful with what I say; she can read it.

"You're right, I can. Anyway, the bow you have, as you know, is called Vijaya. It is a bow made for Indra, God of Thunder, and passed on to Karna, Son of the Sun God. Using your Gaia's Treasury ability, you can get an arrow for it called Indra's Dart."

"Thanks for the advice; I'll do that when I wake up. But still, you haven't answered my question. What is my ideal fighting style with my class?" I continue to read some of the tablatures as I listen to Azathoth speak.

You know first-person shooter games in your world, right? Like CS: GO?" A tablature lights up as Azathoth grabs it.

"Yes, I do, and I have seen my sister play CS: GO before." Azathoth hands me the glowing tablature for me to read.

"You can buy a sniper there; one hit, one kill. But it's a risky play. They're accurate but punishable. That's why they're used in long-distance fights. But some daredevils fight close-range, which works as well. But it's not advised." I read the tablature as I understood what she wanted me to be.

"So you'd like me to be a sniper from afar as well as a danger from close combat?" I ask Azathoth. To write something new, she flips the tablature around.

"Well, stereotypically, archers don't know what to do when up close in battle. Since they're usually in the back row supporting the front row. But you should be different."

"Be… Different?" I respond to Azathoth's speech. I laugh at the fact that I am miles different from the average person in the new world I am in.

"If you dance while fighting, you'll create an unpredictable atmosphere."

"Dance?" I ask questioningly and perplexedly.

"Trust me, you'll get it when you're in combat with other fodder folks." She says, brushing it off.

"That also reminds me. Do you even know the Factor I gave you?" She puts her hands on her hips like a Tsundere.

"Every time you talk about it, you get cut off by something. So no, I do not." Azathoth sighs at my statement before telling me.

"The factor I bestowed on you is called Motion Shifting. Essentially, it is what it sounds like. You can shift anything's motion. But as of now, it only works on you." In my prediction, I have to use it a bunch of times to expand my skill set right?

"Your guess is correct, my pupil. As of now, you have two incredibly powerful Factors helping you in this world!"

"Wait, how does Gaia's Treasury help me? I know it gives me nearly everything in the world. But what about combat?" Knowing the ability, I can get any item from it as long as I have the mana to make the portal.

"Oh, that. To you, it may look like an easy way to gain items. But to me, if you advance its skill set, you'll have to guess what it is." What the hell? Ugh, I can't think of that, but Miss Chuuni did? Then again, she holds much wisdom.

"So not only do you have the main powerhouse that being Vijaya, you have a subset of weapons to your will. And it's infinite since Gaia's Treasury houses everything." Reminds me of some golden-armored guy from Babylon.

"Tch. Anyway, our time is running out. So I'll see you when you wake up. Okay?"

"Okay, see you soon." My vision blurs as I close my eyes and fall unconscious.
