Chapter 19 - Wanted

"Can we order the uh—"

As I was about to order, the entrance door slammed open with the sisters we left behind. They looked desperate.

They both come to us and are inspected for, I believe, bruises or injuries. I wonder why.

"You two! Your safety thanks us!" Did Azathoth mean 'thank Gods?'

"We've got to get out of the kingdom's vicinity NOW." Yog-Sothoth hurriedly exclaimed, grabbing both me and my sister on the side of her hips. She should do this more often; it feels amazing.

"E-Eh? Why? What happened?" I exclaimed confusedly.

Our house was in flames when we returned, with the guards there arresting your parents, Azathoth teleports us somewhere else. A beautiful and vibrant crystallized cave.

Yog-Sothoth drops us and looks at me.

"Pervert." She whispered to me. I forgot they could read minds.

"W-Wait! Our parents! We have to get out, parents!" My sister screamed out loud. Oh yeah, our parents.

"Sorry, we can't fight the kingdom. We mustn't." Azathoth speaks sullenly yet angrily." Wait, why?

Why can't they solo the kingdom on their own? It should be easy for the Goddesses, right?

"We can't." Oh, telekineses, why not Yog?

"We can easily do it, but the Gods and Goddesses Committee would be on our asses for not just coming back, but interfering with the mass destruction of humans here," Yog says, keeping her cool and collected self.

"I'm sorry for both of you. But you must be hiding. The kingdom is after you guys, so you are both wanted. And for a stupid reason."I am confused about why the kingdom is now our enemy and after us. What did we do?

With telekinesis, Yog says, "They are after the rings to prevent Azathoth's rebirth and me."

Ah, so that's why. What the hell? Why can't the king just give every other ring and take the ring that belongs to him out? Stupid.

"We don't know why they are after you guys, but we believe it's because the kingdom is corrupt; don't worry, we'll help." It's surprising to see Azathoth so formal and caring. At least not for me.

Sister sobs uncontrollably and accepts the kingdom's treachery. Before eventually passing out in shock.

"Wait, where is Vijaya? And what about our other guild member, Ite?" I desperately ask, hoping they're safe.

"Vijaya and Ite are both right there." Yog points to a nearby rock, with both resting there along with Kodandam. What about Ite's family or something?"

"Ite has no family members, all of whom are deceased." She was nearby her house when she passed out in pure shock, anger, and sadness. "I can tell she was broken by the loss of more people close to her." Ah, I see... I fall to my knees, so saddened by the situation I am in.

So what now? Stay away from the kingdom? How will we survive now? How did it come to this? What is my luck?

"We take small steps about how we do this. That's how we'll do it." Azathoth held out a hand to pick me up, one of the first times I'd seen her not thinking about herself or how great she was. She truly cares for me. Of course, she's my partner.

I take her hand, confident we can get back on our feet. Like how I did with—

Every—

Poverty.

Single—

Death.

Time!—

Betrayal.

"You should train heavily now." Demanded by both Yog and Az.

"We're technically enemies of the Gods and Goddesses, and probably those Gods and Goddesses ordered or influenced the king to attack you all." What? What did I get myself into?

That's— all right, fine. Not my ideal situation, which is where I wanted to be when I reincarnated. But if it means I can still find my Lisa, it's alright.

"Shit, people are posting wanted posters and newspaper articles about you," Yog says tiredly. It seems like she wants to be done with the already fucked up situation right now. Azathoth teleported both the poster and the newspaper to us.

"Say here, 'Polyphormes Raijin, now known as "God's Enemy," is on the loose. The reward is one hundred thousand gold pieces. Dead or alive, " what the fuck, now I am an enemy of Gods and Goddesses? What did I do to deserve this shit?

"Sorry about this, Poly; it's because of us that you're in this mess. Yog bows apologetically, followed by Az, who does the same too.

Raise your heads; you guys are fine. But that'll put more stress on me than I already intended.

A surprised tone comes from Az, who says, "It also states here that war with the Demon race is in the process of advancing." Oh, wait, demons?

"Are demons finally revolting against humans now? That's more stressful. We have to deal with war times." So much happened in a day. Can I catch a break in this world? Please?

But if I cannot, at least I am well-adjusted to this world enough to survive in it.
