Christine was in a state of confusion, pacing back and forth in the room that James had just escorted her into.
The room that was said to be the guest room was indeed spacious, with a large chair that she had seen before in William's room, though not as luxurious as the man's as Christine remembers. There was a cupboard, a vanity table, and also a door which Christine had not checked.
Christine didn't have time to check that out!
At this moment, Christine seemed to be deep in thought.
Her seduction was a total failure!
"D*mn it! What should I do?" thought Christine frantically as she paced back and forth with a frown, wondering what she should do.
Cassius did give her a time, but it was only one month. Seeing how ruffian the man who claimed to be the vampire king was, Christine was sure that the man would have instantly killed her parents if she had not provided any information, or at least her plan had a development.
While Christine was confused, the woman suddenly stopped where she was when she heard a knock at the door, making Christine suddenly become alert.
"Who is it?" Christine said, glancing sharply at the door.
The door opened, and a young woman entered the room. She was wearing a maid's outfit and appeared to be in her twenties.
The brown-haired woman bent down to greet Christine, and Christine just nodded her head, confused by what the woman was doing.
"Who are you?" Christine asked, still wary.
"Ah! My name is Nora, I am a maid assigned to help Lady Christine while you are here," said the female servant as she bowed.
"Wow, you really are so beautiful! I have never seen a woman as beautiful as you!" Nora said again when she finally lifted her head and saw Christine's face up close.
Nora was mesmerized by Christine's beauty and couldn't help but comment on it.
Christine just smiled at that. She always felt better when someone complimented her beauty, even if it came from her food.
"So why are you here? Isn't this my room?" Christine asked in bewilderment. She was clearly notified that she would be using this room.
Are the two of them going to share this room?
Nora looked a little surprised to hear that.
"I will help Lady while I'm here. How about we put these clothes on first?" said Nora indicating the dress she was currently carrying with her.
Christine looked still wary as she glanced at the woman who was walking towards her. Her gaze then turned to a yellow dress that was brought by the woman.
"Is it for me?" Christine asked, staring at the yellow dress.
Nora nodded.
"Yes, doesn't the dress look very beautiful?" Nora said excitedly with a big smile.
Christine nodded, though she preferred red, which looks like blood, or black, but the dress looked good.
"Then..." Nora's hand then tried to open the cloak that Christine was still using to help her change clothes.
However, Christine's hand quickly brushed aside the woman's hand.
"What are you doing?" Christine asked defensively as she jumped back and shot the woman with a suspicious look.
Even though the food in front of her looked harmless, Christine was currently in the territory of the humans, a ruthless race that killed Vampires.
She had to always be ready and shouldn't let her guard down!
"Ah!" Nora touched her hand which had just been brushed aside. "Forgive me for my impudence, Lady Christine. I just wanted to assist you put on this dress," the woman said, her voice trembling as she looked down, not daring to look at Christine.
Christine was still looking at the woman with wary eyes, but seeing the woman who didn't dare to look at her and her body that seemed to be trembling with fear, made Christine finally walk closer to her.
Apparently, the woman was completely harmless. However, Christine still did not one hundred percent believe it.
"Why do you want to help me put on the dress?" Christine asked in a probing tone.
"Because that is the task assigned to me. His Highness William gave this dress for you to wear," said Nora timidly.
Christine's wary expression softened at the mention of William.
"The fo- I mean, William gave this to me?" asked Christine who could not hide her pleasure.
What's this? Wasn't that man clearly not interested in her? But he gave that woman a dress to give it to her?
Nora nodded her head timidly.
"Then I'll put the dress in the wardrobe. If it pleases you, Lady, you can wear it by yourself.." Nora said with an expression that looked scared.
"Ah no. You can help me put it on," Christine said with a big smile.
It seemed that because the woman continued to be afraid of her, Christine felt that everything would be fine.
Nora hesitated for a moment before approaching Christine, her hands shaking as she helped her into the dress. As she worked, Nora couldn't help but compliment Christine's beauty.
"Lady, if I may say so, you look absolutely stunning. How can your skin look so smooth like that?" complimented Nora after helping Christine change her clothes.
Christine just smiled at the compliment and walked over to the mirror to take a look at herself.
"Not bad," Christine muttered as she tilted her body left and right. The dress was a bright shade of yellow, not her favorite color, but it fit her well. She looked up at her reflection, feeling a small sense of satisfaction.
"Then I'll excuse myself, Lady. You can rest or just call me if you need anything," Nora said then bowed and excused herself.
Christine just stared at the woman, then looked back at her reflection in the mirror who was currently wearing a dress.
Christine's face looks happy to see her appearance that is slightly different from usual.
"Christine! This is not the time to admire your beauty!"
Christine suddenly realized that right now she had to think of something.
What could she do… What should she do…
"Ahh! Whatever! I don't know!" Christine said annoyed and then finally sat down on the very "big chair".
"Besides, why did he reject me? Does he find me not pretty?" Christine said a little annoyed as she lay down on the "big chair".
She thought, seducing her food would be something easy. However, who would have thought that it would turn out to be this difficult?
Still feeling irritated, Christine's eyes slowly began to close as she felt the comfort of the big chair, until finally the woman went to the dreamland thinking about her plan.

Christine woke up from her sleep looking fresh. It's been a long time since she had a good sleep.
Feeling bored in the room, the woman finally walked closer to the window to see the scenery outside.
Apparently, she had slept long enough that it was already evening outside.
She strolled towards the window and peered outside, marveling at the beautiful flowers and the glistening water fountain. The sight was mesmerizing, and she couldn't resist the urge to venture out and take a closer look.
As she stepped out, she felt the cool breeze on her face, and the pleasant smell of blooming flowers filled her nose.
"Ohh, the flowers are so pretty."
"My, is that water? Why does the water splash like that?"
"This place is huge."
Christine's face looked amazed as she looked around the enormous garden. She had always been cooped up in the house, so she quite liked being able to walk around freely like this.
She jumped and jogged around, relishing the freedom to move around after being cooped up inside the house for so long.
Her happy expedition came to an abrupt halt when she stumbled upon three elderly ladies.
One of them was adorned with exquisite jewelry and a regal aura, which instantly caught Christine's attention.
"Who are you? How come you are here?" one of the old women questioned, looking at Christine suspiciously.
Rolling her eyes at the repetitive question, why does everyone always ask who she is?
"I'm Christine," Christine said with an irritated expression. "Now who are you?" Christine asked back angrily.
Her eyes shifted to the center of the trio, where the well-dressed woman stood.
"Oh, grandma! You look amazing! I bet you are very rich, right?" Christine exclaimed, admiring the woman's jewelry.
The faces of the other two women turned red, and their expressions were a mix of anger and disbelief.
"How-How dare you! Did you just call the Queen grandma?!" one of them shouted, her voice echoing across the garden.
