Exiting the bar a man rams into me.
"Oh, sorry I didn't see ya there." he apologized.
He was a big man holding a map clenched tightly between two fingers. When I mean big I mean big, he stood more than a head taller then me and I am six foot. The best word to describe him is bear. Although as to go against this thought he wears a priest cloak, and has a cross clenched tightly in his right hand.
"mister, I don't mean to be rude but. He pauses. I mean I feel bad saying this but do you know where the adventures guild is?" he asks
Adventures guild? Isn't that like in the games or the novels I used to read as a kid. I think it's coming back to me.
"Let me see that map."
He hands it over to me. Calling it a map is being kind, it's just a bunch of scribbles and a line pointing at a dot with words above it saying, "go here."
" I know it isn't the best but my daughter made it for me." He reassured me.
Why would he have a little kid draw him a map?
"Fine, I will help you find it."
We wandered around the city for a few hours until we ended up asking a guard for help, and he pointed the way. The adventurers guild is a big building with a sign hanging on it saying guild, it is located directly across the street from the bar.
I look towards him, and he looks back like he was staring at the dumbest man in the world.
"Hey, what's that look for? I wasn't the only one who couldn't find it."
"So, buddy, how would you like to join my party? We have been looking for a swordsman."
"How did you know I was a swordsman?" I ask.
He didn't answer. He just stood there with a broad smile.
Is he really not as dumb as he looks?
"You know what, why not"
He stretches his handout long. I grab on to it, and yet again his massive size is apparent. My hand was half the size of his. He patted me on the shoulder and said,
"Come in and meet the party"
We walk through the door and immediately enter what appears to be a receptionist room. There's a wall filled with posters, scattered around the room are tables, and in front of me is a desk with a woman constantly stamping away at papers.
"You need to talk to her to sign up." He said as pointing towards her.
