We stood before the wagon. Everyone gathered in a group.
Marton is wearing, full chain with a steel open helmet.
Drake is wearing a plate chestpiece, with a mix of chain and gambersen everywhere else, he has a long spear in one hand.
Me and Violet however are wearing the same clothes as before.
"Hey Marton, I see you threw away your so-called disguise." drake mocked
"There is no need for it anymore." He said with a straight expression. "Hey buddy, where is your gear, don't tell me you're going into combat like that?"
"Yeah, only a fool would stake his life on his skills alone." drake added
well then, I guess you could call me a fool, because when fighting against rose that is all I did.
"Leave him alone guys, I mean it's not like I'm wearing armor." Violet defended me.
They both turned to her.
"Thats because no matter how many times I try to get you to wear some, you say no its ugly" Marton complained
"Violet, is this true? You must not respect the true beauty of armor. How about when we finish this quest all of you guys come and visit my home. There you could see the most beautiful sets of armor, and perhaps if you bag me I will show you the founder's set." drake incorged her
Violet scoffed and said
"No one wants to see your family's dusty old armor."
I mean I do but I'm not gonna speak up.
"Come on, I think we got off topic. We should be getting ready to head out." I but in
They both glared at me and Marton patted me on the back.
"That's right, we don't have time to waste, we have to get moving before dark." Marton said
We all hopped on the wagon violet and her father sat in front, with Marton driving. Me and Drake sat in the back.
The road was bumpy, sometimes I thought I would even fall over.
"Hay drake."
"Yeah."
" Can you tell me more about the northern plains?"
He looks towards me and gives me a nod. And says.
"The northern plains is a region taken over by monsters. Many have tried to take it back but their forces in the end were never strong enough. Many have died like that, in so-called holy wars. But that's besides the point. The part of the plains we are heading to is owned by the goblins, it just so happens to be the closest to the Holy lazen Empire, which as I'm sure you can guess makes this goblin lord a big threat. But other than the goblins, there's the giant snake to the east, and the four troll lords to the north."
He shut up after that and just looked back towards the trees and road that we passed as we went by.
"You seem knowledgeable about this subject, is there a reason?" I ask
"I just find it interesting, is all." he responded well, still looking out at the woods.
"So, how did you and Violet meet?" I ask
That seemed to get him excited as he turned back with a grin and started to explain.
"I was in the royal capital of kingsland, for family reasons and there I saw the most beautiful sight, she was walking through the streets. Ever since that day I couldn't stop thinking about her. and so I ended up hearing her name again and headed down to this city in the sticks." Drake explained
The day went by just like this and before I knew it. We stopped to sleep for the night.
