Chapter 14 - Goblin hunt part two.

"So this is where it was hiding." Commented Marten.

Drake's face peeked through the front.

"Lions fort? But, that can't be." He said.

"To think the goblin lord's castle was Lions fort." Violet chimed in.

"This wasn't in the report." Added Drake.

"That's a given, most people see the gold ranger company as a legend, and nothing more. If anyone reported that it was here they would be laughed at." Replied Marton.

"So do you think it's in there?" Asked Drake.

"Should be." Said Marton.

We approached the fort, everyone's guard was up. Reaching the destroyed gate we Enter into the courtyard, goblins start swarming from every crack. The goblins had clubs, their skin left bare to the sun.

Drake who is already recovered from his injuries, readyed his spear. Marton draws two knifes from who knows where and prepares him self. Violet just stood in back not even reacting to the dozens of goblins.

Drawing my sword I enter boar stance, placing the sword over my head in a natural pose, I put my feet in a wide stance. Boar stance is made by a master named Deo Mahendra. I was still young and he was getting old, he had no disciples and was afraid his technique would be lost to history. After he defeated me ten times I begged him to become his disciple, and so I spent a year learning something that took his life to make, he died nine months into training from a stroke. In the end his technique wasn't ever that useful for me, It focused more on group combat then duels. Now that i'm looking back at it, it got me out of a lot of pickles.

I enter the fight first, immediately cutting two heads off with a diagonal slash. A goblin spotting an opening jumps and swings down with its club aiming for the back of my head. Performing a sidekick I send him flying towards the ground, as doing so I slash another head off. The fight ended without much fuss, with Morton killing the most with 15, I killed 8, and Drake killed 4. As for Violet she killed one that tried to sneak up on her.

We enter the broken door to the fort, leading to the dining hall. Draped upon each wall are torn up gold lion banners. In the center of the room is a pile of bones and damaged plate armor with golden lions embroidered on the chest and arms.

Walking past the bones we enter a hallway leading to a arena, in the arena that most have once supported hundreds is one Goblin. Its has a tall seven foot frame, arms the size of tree trunks, with bits of armor strapped to parts at random and a massive zweihander gripped with one hand.
