Chapter 56 - The Dark Side Of Raixom Academy

Dam Son's general lesson for the day was over. On his way out of the classroom he was blocked by members of the Leaf Widows team; mainly Cinder Burn. "What seems to be the matter, pretty girls?"

"You damn cur!" Cinder Burn spat at Dam Son's compliment by cursing at him. "How could you beat him when you lost against me? Were you purposely going easy on me back there?"

"I'm confused. Who are you talking about?"

"She's talking about that blindfolded kid back at the Page Coliseum. The one they call Red bull." Trish spoke up angrily. She was one of Dam Son's classmates who hated his guts. Unlike Cinder Burn and Trish, Balloona actually liked Dam Son but she couldn't openly admit it due to the gang she was with.

"I asked you a question. Now answer or else I'll cut you to ribbons." Cinder Burn threatened Dam Son by pointing her Whip of Numbers at his face.

"Woah! Woah, easy there. I don't want any trouble." Dam Son formed a surrendering gesture with his hands while slightly backing away. "If you want to know how I beat him then I'll tell you all about it later. Right now I need to go."

"You're going nowhere. Not until you explain yourself to me." Cinder Burn refused to let Dam Son leave the classroom. "Did you cheat? Is that how you defeated him or did you two have some sort of agreement behind my back just to humiliate me?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about, Cinder Burn. I genuinely don't…" Right when Dam Son was about to further explain himself, Xuan Li and Sugar Bun came along to rescue him from the upset Leaf Widows.

"Hey, Dam Son what's taking so long? Teacher Enjoy's class is over already. We must not be late or the geezer might get angry."

"Alright I'm coming." Seeing a gap between the Leaf Widows, Dam Son went straight for the exit. "Excuse me, ladies, we'll talk some other time."

"Get back here!"

Dam Son ran away before Cinder Burn could chase after him. Along the way, Xuan Li and Sugar Bun wondered why she was so upset at him. "I think she might also be a sore loser."

"No doubt about it." Xuan Li agreed.

Later that evening near the exit of Raixom Academy, a dark aberrant was sneaking closer towards the checkpoint. Not many guards were on duty that night, therefore it easily overpowered them with its dark tentacles. In only a matter of seconds, the guards were out cold and the exit was in sight. It began bolting towards the exit but then out of the blue, 2 cloaked figures showed up and captured it.

"Where do you think you're going beast? You had us chasing you all over this dump academy. Wait until the boss hears of your capture, I bet he will take his sweet time peeling you apart."

"Roar!" The captured Word Beast behaved agitated when it perceived what the hunter said.

"Settle down you little shit! Count yourself lucky that the boss needs you alive, otherwise, I would have skinned you myself."

Another cloaked figure came along and said to the man holding the Word Beast captive, "Hey Tor Eyes, take it easy with that thing, will you? The boss won't be please if you damage it in any way."

"Shut up Splint. I know what I'm doing. Get over here, we're heading back." Tor Eyes flipped a Blue Kismet Coin he had in his grasp. Immediately, a portal large enough for a man to fit through was generated. Both cloaked figures stepped inside and vanished out of sight with the captured beast.

A hidden facility located at the subterranean level of Raixom Academy hosted the main hideout of the infamous Vage Gang. They have been a thorn in the proper prospects of Raixom Academy for a very long time; sabotaging potential students, using them for their own benefit, and even subjecting them to their inhumane experiments.

The Vage Gang pretended they had the student's best interest by exposing them to various elements that they promised would boost their Word Mastery by leaps and bounds. Some experiments came out a success while many others experienced failures that completely ruined the students' chances at ever becoming prominent Word Masters.

Through the implementation of numerous advanced level encryption scripts, The Vage Gang were able to keep themselves safely hidden in the subterranean area of Raixom Academy. Up till now, many of the gang associates weren't aware that they were underground mainly because of the environmental illusion set in place to mimic the outside world.

A portal suddenly opened inside the hidden facility. The men who captured the special Word Beast on the surface came outside to see a loyal assistant standing by. "You there, go fetch the boss."

"Right away sir, right away." Acting like a diligent servant, the assistant went ahead to alert the boss of these men's presence. He ran until he arrived at an expansive cylindrical balcony that overlooked a battle arena below where a certain death match was currently taking place. The winner would be able to partake in an upcoming experiment that was supposed to boost an individual Vocabulary Pack 4 times its normal amount.

A fancy throne near the edge of the balcony was being occupied by the leader of the Vage Gang, Boss Vage himself. He was a middle-aged man slightly muscular with a neatly shaved beard across his strict face. His apparel exuded authoritative leadership qualities. He possessed a pair of eyes that could pierce a hole through his monocle if he glared too fiercely.

As Boss Vage continued to watch the death match taking place below, a sinister smile graced his lips when he witnessed a contestant getting impaled by a swarm of 9-inch nails. "Ha-ha-ha! A magnificent ending. I wish I could replay her death a second time."

"Boss! Boss!" Just then, the assistant came along and informed Boss Vage of the two cloaked characters who returned with the Word Beast.

"What, they've captured it?"

"Yes boss, they did."

"You fool! Why didn't you inform me sooner?"

"I came as soon as they return boss. Please don't punish me." The assistant begged for his life while resting on his knees.

"Useless rubbish. Get out of my sight." Boss Vage kicked the loyal assistant over the balcony. From that height, he crushed his head instantly on impact. The other members of the gang didn't seem all that startled by this, as if it was a regular thing for their boss to off his assistants whenever they displeased him.
