Two weeks have passed since Dam Son became famous at the Page Coliseum. During those days, he learned a lot from Ms Enjoy, Ms Philosopho, Ms Ever Moist and Elder Shao Lin. He couldn't practise the practical aspects of his lessons which involved physical script assimilation due to the restriction placed on him by Jin Hennessy, however, this didn't stop him from learning all he could.
So many days have passed by, yet Dam Son hadn't granted Red Bull his desired rematch. Red Bull took this as an insult to his pride. He promised himself that he would no longer request a rematch from Dam Son, he would fight him whenever he crossed paths with him again; although, he wouldn't do it if the vicinity wasn't crowded enough because he wanted everyone to see how strong he was.
Presently, at the peak of Jin Hennessy's mountain, the Drunken Brats were preparing to commence the next phase of their training. They had only their undergarments on and wondered what the meaning of that dress code was.
"Master Jin, what sort of training involves us getting naked?" Sugar Bun was the most uncomfortable of his peers, he didn't like everyone staring at his banged belly.
Xuan Li wasn't all that uncomfortable, only a bit confused. "What's the meaning of this? I'm freezing my ass off here."
"Impatient brats, you'll find out eventually." After downing a bottle of wine, Jin Hennessy raised his fabled big toe then stamped the ground with it. A huge 20-metre square crater was formed on impact. Dam Son and the other had to take several steps backwards.
Next, Jin Hennessy took out 2 Noun Scripts from the traditional scroll holder he had poised at his side. The first one he activated filled the huge crater with a nutritious source of water, now it resembled a radiant pool.
"Wow, so cool. I've never seen water like this before." Xuan Li was captivated by the ancient allure that the water emanated.
Jin Hennessy told him, "This is pure unfiltered water that I acquired from the Sea of Verbs."
"The Sea of Verbs?" Hearing this name roused something deep within Dam Son's consciousness. "It sounds familiar."
"Of course it does." Sugar Bun told Dam Son, "The Sea of Verb is the largest oceanic body that surrounds the central region of Vocabular; the place where the strongest Compass Guardian once reigned. I've never been there in person, but I've seen the pictures and read stories about it. Supposedly, it has many mineral properties that are good for Word Fu Masters."
"Enough chitchat brats!" Jin Hennessy garnered the attention of his disciples. "I brought this water here because it is good to strengthen your latent Natural Verb Force."
Jin Hennessy activated the other Noun Script he had in his grasp. A school of Crystal Fish began filling up the radiant pond. 3 barrels were situated at its outer edges, Jin Hennessy kicked them inside then told his pupils, "Now, here are the details of your training brats. You see those Crystal Fishes swimming around inside the water?"
"We do, Master Jin. They are beautiful."
"I didn't ask if they were beautiful." Jin Hennessy scolded Dam Son for acting like an elated child. "Listen brats! You're going to get in the water and use only your Natural Verb Force to direct those fishes into the designated barrels. Only when they are filled to capacity will your training end. Now get to it!"
Without any prior warning. Jin Hennessy kicked his students into the pool. Dam Son and Sugar Bun went headlong inside the warm body of wetness.
"Do you always have to be so rough old man?" Xuan Li was upset about the livid bruise he had on his bum.
"Shut your trap mouthy brat and get straight to your training!" Jin Hennessy yelled at Xuan Li.
"How am I supposed to do what you've asked? Have you forgotten that I don't know how to manifest Natural Verb Force yet? Shouldn't you have taught me that first? What kind of teacher are you?"
"The very strict kind, now stop complaining and focus on your training. The Sea of Verbs wasn't just called that for its beautiful appearance. For centuries it has helped Word Fu Masters discover their potential Natural Verb Force. I can't do the same with you as I did with Dam Son; his potential far supersedes yours. The best way for you to manifest your Natural Verb Force is to experience the wave of the water, focus your intent and it will naturally come to you. You've already seen what Natural Verb Force looks like so it shouldn't be that difficult."
"Damn you." Xuan Li was peeved at Jin Hennessy for mentioning how brilliant Dam Son was. "So what? I can do it too. I will do." Finally feeling determined. Xuan Li began calmly swimming around the pond, hoping to sense the presence of Natural Verb Force within.
While his students commenced their training, Jin Hennessy was swaying in a nearby hammock drinking multiple bottles of wine. "Wow! That hit the spot! Super!"
"All he does is drink." Sugar Bun couldn't wrap his head around Jin Hennessy's insane strength. "With that toxic element inside his body, shouldn't he be weaker?"
"Never mind him, Sugar Bun. You should focus on your training."
"I will, Dam Son."
Minutes into their water bending training, Dam Son was the only one who managed to direct a fish into the barrel. This was expected since he was the only one among his peers who could already utilize Natural Verb Force. However, his control over the element wasn't that strong. Before he got his first fish inside the barrel, he caused many others to explode due to the excessive amount of force he applied. Thus he had to learn how to fine-tune his ability.
Sugar Bun and Xuan Li were desperately struggling to get the Crystal Fishes to obey their command to enter the barrels. It was forbidden for them to use their hands to guide them, only the Natural Verb Force which they had yet to sense was allowed to do the trick.
"Damn this is so frustrating!" Xuan Li cursed at his own failures. He took a brief look at Dam Son's progress and felt envious. "He captured so many fishes already? I can't let him continue to outdo me. I must catch up." Once again, Xuan Li went back at it. For hours he stayed still until he could feel something tingling inside him. "Is this what I think it is?"
On the other side of the pool, Sugar Bun was getting the hang of guiding the fishes inside the barrel. His Natural Verb Force hadn't fully manifested yet, but the invisible energy was starting to take a form that he could sense. "Yes, I can feel something and it is increasing. This sensation must be what Dam Son feel before he released his Natural Verb Force. With a bit more practice, I should be able to get this barrel fill with fish."
