Rosalie had practically ignored Giovanni's confession, rolling her eyes to seem uninterested, but inside she didn't know how to feel.
Genesis sensed the growing tension and immediately changed the topic, "I'm bored, how about we go diving off the waterfall?" He asked as Rosalie's eyes widened, "Hell no, you can go, I'll happily watch you jump to your death," she said earning an eye roll before Genesis swam over to her.
"No! Put me down, Genesis!" She yelled, kicking her feet as Genesis carried her to the waterfall with Giovanni trailing behind them. He was pissed, he knew Rosalie heard and understood what he said, but she chose to ignore it and it hurt.
Watching how easily she got along with his twin made him jealous and curious to know what made him so different, what did he do to be treated so differently?
"Please, Gen, I don't want to do this, I'm not good with heights," she begged as they reached the bottom of the waterfall, where he placed her on the ground of a cave before pulling himself up.
"Come on, Rosie, you'll love it, just give it a good, just once, and I can always dive with you," he pleaded while Rosalie stared into his puppy brown eyes before sighing in defeat, "Fine! But once Genesis," she said as he cheered, "But if I die, you're dying with me," she warned earning a wink.
"I wouldn't want it any other way, my love, come on," he said before grabbing her hand, pulling her into the cave, and up an entrance that lead to the top of the waterfall.
Standing on top of the waterfall, Rosalie steadily walked to the edge before looking down, growing pale in the face, "I-I think I change my mind, Genesis," she said looking back at him, but he shrugged, "I think it's a little too late for that now," he said before grabbing her waist, lifting her off the ground earning a yelp.
Wrapping her legs around Genesis's waist, Rosalie tightened her hold around his neck breathing, knowing what was coming next, "Hey? I got you," he whispered as she squeezed her eyes shut when he moved closer to the edge, "God, I'm going to die," she squeaked earning a chuckle and a kiss on the cheek.
"Then see you on the other side, baby girl," he said before jumping off the cliff.
Rosalie felt her heart drop as her body traveled downwards. All her hearing fades away as the harsh breeze dragged against her body and hair. She felt gravity continue to pull her down until their body hit the water.
Time slowed down as Rosalie felt her body temporarily leave Genesis. Her curved body sunk deeper as her eyes slowly opened. Light can be seen at the surface as she stared at it in awe before frowning as a hand reached out to grab her.
"It's alright, my little flower, mama's got you, all you have to do is relax and take a nice deep breath."
Gasping as she was pulled to the surface, Rosalie looked around searching for her mother, or who she thought was her mother, but found no one.
"Rosie? Rosalie!" Genesis called out as she continued to look around before she grabbed her face, "Hey? Are you alright?" He asked as she slowly nodded still in a daze, "What's wrong?" He asked, gently patting her cheek bring her back to reality.
"Sorry, I thought I was on the other side," she said as Genesis frowned with a smile on his face, "I was just joking about that, Rosalie," he said while staring into her eyes that still seem dazed, "What did you see?" He asked, "I thought I heard my mom," she said before Giovanni's voice grabbed their attention.
"Hey, it's a bit late, we should take you back to Benjamin's," he said earning a nod, "He's right," Rosalie said before Genesis looked at his brother, “Why don’t you take her back, I have to get something,” he said, “What do you have to get?” She asked as Genesis looked at her before pinching her chin.
“You don’t gotta worry that pretty little head of yours, I’ll meet up with you guys,” he said before diving back down into the water as Rosalie watched before turning to Giovanni.
“Where’s he going?” She asked, he shrugged before jumping back into the water, “Come on, let’s go,” he said swimming off as Rosalie looked at the spot where Genesis had disappeared before swimming after Giovanni.
As they reached the river bank, Giovanni helped her up before they went to retrieve their clothes. While sliding on her jeans, Rosalie grimace at the feeling, “God, I hate being wet and putting on dry clothes,” she mumbled to herself before looking up as Giovanni’s voice broke the silence between them.
“You and Genesis seem close,” he said, “I don’t what you mean by close but he’s easy to be around,” she replied as he scoffed, “And what makes it so hard to be me?” He asked causing her to turn to him with a frown on his face, “What is this about, Giovanni?” She asked, “This is about me looking pathetic, stooping low to confess my feelings for you, and you just ignore me and run off into the sunset with my brother,” he said as Rosalie scoffed before folding her arms.
“Confessing your feelings? Oh you tell me that you’re invested in me are you confessing your feelings, well I didn’t ask for you to do that,” she said as Giovanni’s jaw clenched, “And said feelings, you shouldn’t have because I didn’t give you a reason or did anything for you to like me, and unlike you, your brother respects my personal space and decisions, but most importantly, he tries to not be an asshole, maybe you should take a lesson or two,” she said before walking away leaving Giovanni alone before a gasp for air and water slashing filled the silence.
“Hey? Where’s Rosie?” Genesis asked getting out of the water and walking towards Giovanni as his brother looked at him before glancing down at the object in his hand.
It was a turquoise stone with black spots on it. It was beautiful and when Genesis saw it, he immediately thought about Rosalie.
Giovanni was pissed, seeing the stone and knowing who it was for, “I don’t know, brother, you should know, it seems that you’re at her beck and call,” Giovanni said before walking away bumping into Genesis’s shoulder leaving him confused.

Storming through the forest, Rosalie was furious. She knew what Giovanni was saying was a load of bullshit. How could he like her in that way, he didn’t know her and neither did she and the time he could’ve used to get to know her, he was being an asshole. Not to mention what had happened today with Cora and that kiss.
Rosalie has never been in a relationship, but she wasn’t stupid, and she refused to be Giovanni’s rebound or anyone for that matter, including Genesis. She didn’t come here to be in a relationship and if she had to make those words clear, she would.
Walking through the forest with the remembrance of Mateo’s direction, Rosalie soon arrived back home, and as she got closer to the house, She noticed Benjamin and Melody, but they weren’t alone, they had company.
Moving closer, they seemed to notice her presence as they turned toward her.
Rosalie went cold as she saw the people that accompanied her grandfather and Melody. It was Mateo, his sister Cora, and a man she’s never seen before.
The man looked at Rosalie in awe sending chills down her spine as she shifted uncomfortably. The atmosphere was tense as Benjamin glared at the man while Melody seemed worried.
“Rosalie, why don’t you go insid-
“Daddy! That’s her, that’s Aaliyah Gracia’s daughter,” Cora said excitedly to her father causing Rosalie to grow pale.
Father?! As in-
“Hello, Rosalie, my name is Marcus.”
