After getting ready Viel decided to deal with the Figaro Gardens' problem. To do it, he would need the help of his master, Randolph.
"Hi master!" Viel said as he entered his master's smithy.
"Well, look who it is." Randolph said. "The apprentice who wasn't able to come to see his master after near dying."
Viel couldn't help but feel unwell about it. After all, his master got to the length of lending him his masterpiece and he didn't even come to see him.
"I'm sorry master." Viel said as he knelt down. "I hope you can forgive me."
Randolph didn't think that his disciple would be so affected by his words.
"You don't need to do this." Randolph said as he helped Viel stand up. "Just don't repeat it in the future and invite me the next time to a beer in the inn."
"Thank you, master."
Randolph laughed and slapped him in the back.
"I'm ashamed to say this, but I must ask you for something."
"What it is?" Randolph asked seriously as he saw his disciple's expression.
"I would like to ask you if I can borrow Blood Moon again."
"You already know what I think about it, Viel" Randolph replied.
"I know, but this time is necessary." Viel explained. "I need you to believe in me, something dangerous is going to happen. If we don't stop it now, it could mean the end of Leaf Village."
Viel could hypnotize Randolph, but he didn't want to do that to his master.
"Do you understand the importance and weight of what you have just said?"
"I do." Viel answered.
"I hope you're not lying to me and that my old instincts aren't starting to fail me."
"I assure you that this is not the case"
"Ok, but just for this occasion." Randolph stated. "After this, you must return it to me. Ok?"
"Yes master!" Viel replied. "After this, I will dedicate myself to my studies of Blacksmithing"
"That's what I like to hear." Randolph said happily.
...
Viel summoned Flasty, the Speedy Silver Ant, and headed toward the battle between the Mosquitoes and the Alpha Monster that ruled the Figaro Garden.
When he got near the Spawning Zone of the Red-Eyed Terror Mantis, Viel could hear the buzzing of the swarm of Mosquitoes.
Viel decided to follow the same strategy as Lux did in the novel. He would command his summons to aid the Mosquitoes in battle as they would leave the Beast Core, along with the body parts of the Alpha Monster alone.
First he send Ferto and Jör. He refrained from sending any of his ants as they had blood flowing in their bodies, something that would attract the mosquitoes.
When the mosquitoes saw Ferto and Jör entering the battlefield. they were on alert at first. But after seeing them attacking the Red-Eyed Terror Mantis and not sensing any blood, they relaxed and continue attacking the Alpha Beast.
After some time fighting, the Red-Eyed Terror Mantis emitted an angry screech as its eyes started glowing. This means that it has entered a berserk state.
Seeing this, Viel intervened shooting a Void Arrow to the Alpha Monster's eyes. Thanks to his high-luck stat, he succeeded with the first shot.
Having lost its sight and being in a berserk state the Red-Eyed Terror Mantis went crazy, not having to wait for it to get completely berserk.
It started attacking everything around it. It killed some of the Rank 2 Iron-Scaled Torment Mosquitoes and all of the Rank 1 Obsidian Spite Mosquitoes, but all the Rank 3 Ruthless Venom Mosquitoes were able to survive after distancing themselves.
Viel continue shooting Void Arrows at the Alpha Beast, and after a few minutes of it attacking the air without killing anything, its eyes finally stopped glowing, signaling that its berserk state had passed.
Being weakened, the Red-Eyed Terror Mantis fought with everything it had. But its defeat was assured, after all, it was surrounded by Rank 3 and 2 Mosquitoes ready to suck it dry.
Viel ordered Ferto and Jör to leave the battlefield while he hid inside the Ant Nest, in case the Mosquitoes searched for a dessert after their grand meal.
After the Mosquitoes had feasted on blood and with their guard down, Viel commanded all of his summons, excluding the Ant Army, to launch an assault. Ferto used his skill Arcane Barrier, trapping the Mosquitoes within an arcane energy dome, leaving them no option but to engage in combat.
It was easy to defeat them. After Jör weakened them with his poison, Ferto just needed to fight them. The mosquitoes weren't able to pierce Ferto's defense and with the use of his fire-related skills, which were the mosquitoes' weakness, they were all dead in less than 30 minutes.
Viel collected all the corpses as well as the Beast Cores inside his Storage Ring and headed to the Ant Colony to pass there the night. He has sent a message using one of the Elementals to his master so he will not worry.
He needed to rest as his next destination, the Abomination, will require him to be well prepared.
…..
Inside the camp he had set up, Viel upgraded his summons once again.
This time he decided to upgrade Jör and Ferto. First, he used one hundred Rank 2 Beast Cores on Jör.

Viel pondered for some time about what job would be the best for Ferto.
The first one, the Arcane Ravager, is too destructive, which doesn't go well with the rest of his summons. Also, Ferto would be less efficient as a tanker.
The second one, the Celestial Paladin, was a very good option. It has good bonus stats and skills, but it has one big problem. Right now and in the near future, Lux's summons are weak against the holy element until he turns into a Heaven's Necromancer. So if Ferto used a holy-type skill, they would be weakened.
The last option, the Titan Guardian, was also a good option. It only has two skills, but it gives excellent stats. These bonus stats would reinforce Ferto's position as a tanker, and start making a good path for the future job classes of Ferto.
So Viel decided to go for Titan Guardian. It would be the best for its current trajectory.

Viel didn't know that there still existed Titans in the world. He didn't ever read about them in the original novel, so maybe they were omitted.
With these, all the possible upgrades were done and he was more than ready to deal with one of the most important problems, the Abomination, and Twilight Rain.
