Chapter 42 - The Blood Tattoo

The next morning, Viel and Lux were in Viel's room about to leave for Solais.

""Open! Heaven's Gate"" Viel and Lux said at the same time as they disappeared from the inn room and appeared inside their home's training room.

Their Grandma was already there waiting for them.

"Hello darlings." Vera said with a loving gaze. "Is everything alright?"

Both Viel and Lux gave their Grandma a hug while telling her about their recent adventures.

...

"Grandma, I need your help."

"What's the matter, Viel?" Vera asked.

"Do you remember about my Body Constitution and that I can create a Blood Tattoo on my body?"

"Yes, I do remember it. Do you have a problem with it?"

"Not really." Viel said. "It's just that I have gotten my hands on the blood of a Deimos-rank monster called Ironclad Rhino."

"I've heard of it before. Despite its low rank, it can be a formidable opponent due to its strong defense," Vera explained. "I recall an incident with a Dreadnaught-rank Ironclad Rhino attempting to attack a city in Elysium. It took a group of B and A-Rankers to defeat it because of its nearly impenetrable defense."

"I understand. I already told you before that I would contact her and tell her about your situation." Vera said. "She already answered me a week or so ago."

"Really?" Viel asked in disbelief. "Thank you Grandma. Thank you!" Viel said as he hugged her grandma.

"Don't worry. We are family and family never says thank you." Vera said as she returned the hug.

After some time they separated.

"Her name is Cassandra Bloodrose. Although we're good friends, it doesn't mean she won't give you a hard time," Vera advised Viel. "You must treat her with utmost respect. The last I heard, she was an SS-Ranker, but she might have become a Pseudo-Saint by now."

"I will remember it." Viel replied.

"Take this," Vera said, handing Viel a map and a letter. "Her residence is marked on this map. Be careful, and let me know if anything happens."

"Okay, Grandma. I'll be careful," Viel promised as he took the map and the letter.

...

The next morning Viel was already prepared to go. Cassandra's residence is quite close to Wildgarde Stronghold, but you can never be too confident.

The wild of Solais was very dangerous. Due to the miasma corrupting the earth and the powerful monsters roaming the land, travelling without protection could cost one's life.

Viel summoned Flasty and set off towards his destination.

...

Two days later…

"Aurora! Use an ice attack to slow it down. Ferto! Use Shield Charge. Bael! Attack with all your might." Viel ordered his summons.

While this was happening, Viel used Spirit Fusion with Indra, achieving a Basic Fusion, and Jör was monitoring and defending his rear from possible sneak attacks.

This situation occurred because when they were about to reach Cassandra's house, a group of Rank 4 and Rank 3 Monsters surrounded them.

Ferto and Bael, who was now wielding Blood Moon due to its compatibility with his skills, could withstand and even counterattack the Rank 4 Monsters.

When Viel fused with Indra some of their stats were combined, reaching a total of nearly 520 total stat points. This, joined with Aurora and the Soul-Infused Weapons, makes it possible for him to fight against the Rank 3 Monsters.

After a tough fight, they were able to win. After collecting a total of three Rank 4 and three Rank 3 Beast Cores, the ground started to tremble.

A fissure appeared, and from it, a Rank 5 Relentless Dirt Devourer surged. It was a monster that lived underground and hunted unlucky ones on the surface when it was hungry.

"Oh no. Run! Everyone, run!" Viel said as he mounted Flasty.

Bael started to fly and follow Viel. Aurora was unsummoned and Ferto tried to gain time for his master while facing the monster.

In less than two minutes the Relentless Dirt Devourer crushed Ferto to shreds. Even if Ferto's defense was top-notch, it was no match against a Rank 5 Monster who fed on the underground earth and metals.

No matter how fast Flasty ran, the Relentless Dirt Devourer was getting near and near to them.

Viel was already starting to think that he would die. But when all hopes were lost, Viel's luck took place. An enormous crimson-red spear pierced the Relentless Dirt Devourer's head, leaving it dead instantly.

At the same time that Viel was processing what took place before him, the mature and seductive voice.

"I can't believe this one make it alive after the last cleaning. I thought I killed everyone of them living in this territory."

The voice came from a woman suspended in mid-air. As she gracefully descended, Viel could finally see her face. She was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.

The woman stood before Viel as an embodiment of mature beauty. Her most striking features were her big, blood-red lips, which commanded attention with their plump and inviting allure. Her eyes, a mesmerizing crimson-red, held an ageless wisdom and a captivating depth, seeming to draw one into their depths.

Her very dark brown-red, long flowing hair cascaded like a silken waterfall, framing her pale and porcelain-like white skin. This contrast highlighted her ethereal beauty. She possessed big and prominent breasts, exuding confidence and allure, along with worship-worthy thighs and long legs.

Her mature allure was undeniable, and she was undeniably one of the most beautiful women Viel had ever encountered. Her presence radiated a timeless charm and grace, leaving an indelible impression upon all who beheld her.

"May I assume you are one of Vera's grandsons, Viel?" She asked.

"Yes!" Viel answered nervously. He has never seen someone as attractive as she, so it was difficult to control himself.

"And do you have something to prove yourself?"

"Okay. Hello Viel," Cassandra greeted warmly, her voice carrying a sense of grace. "My name is Cassandra. It's a pleasure to meet you, and I hope we get along well in the days to come."

"It's an honor for me to be graced with your presence and to have the privilege of being under your guidance," Viel replied respectfully, his words accompanied by a deep, respectful bow.
