"Hi, Grandma!"
Viel has just returned to his Grandma's house in the Wildgarde Stronghold.
"Welcome Viel." Vera said while she hugged her grandson.
"Hi, Viel!" Lux said.
"How was your trip to Barbatos Academy?" Viel asked.
"It went well. Iris sends you kisses." Lux replied. "And I have someone to introduce you to."
As Lux stopped talking, a small slime climbed to his shoulder.
"Viel this is my daughter, Eiko. Eiko this is your Uncle, Viel"
The small slime giggled and jumped toward Viel's shoulder. When she landed, she kissed her Uncle's cheek.
"What a good girl you are." Viel said as he returned the kiss, which made Eiko giggle more.
He took out from his Storage Ring three Rank 3 Beast Cores from the Kobolds he defeated and fed them to his cute niece.
She happily took them and savoured each of them, allowing her to gain new skills and more power.
"Big Brother, are you sure you can use them so freely?" Lux asked in shock. "They are Rank 3 Beast Cores after all."
"Don't worry." Viel replied. "These are not much. Even less if it is for my little and cute niece."
As he patted her head he thought about what he said. With his current skills and techniques, his total combat power was more than enough to fight against Rank 2 Monsters. And if he fused with Indra, even Rank 3 Monsters were possible to be defeated.
"Oh! I nearly forgot to present you to your cousin." Viel said as he summoned Jör.
Jör appeared and enrolled himself around Viel's neck, his face next to Eiko's.
They stared at each other. Eiko approached him and Jör nuzzled her with his head.
"This is Jör, Eiko. He's your big cousin." Viel explained, a warm smile gracing his face.
Eiko giggled again, seemingly delighted by her new family member. Jör, in his own way, seemed equally pleased, his demeanour displaying a sense of protectiveness over the tiny slime.
Lux watched the interaction with a soft smile, clearly pleased to see his daughter making a new friend.
Vera observed the scene with a twinkle in her eye, a silent approval of the growing bond between the family members.
"Looks like they're getting along just fine," she remarked, her voice filled with contentment.
Jör and Eiko went outside to play while Viel and Lux talked about important things.
"Are you ready to return to Elysium? When we return, we are going on a mission. So don't forget to prepare everything you will need." Viel stated.
"Yes. Everything is almost ready."
That night all the family had dinner together. Even Viel and Lux summoned their companions.
Bael and Diablo arm-wrestled, ending with the win of the Deathwing Harbinger. Aurora "talked" with Ishtar about ice-attack tactics. Jör played with Eiko, again. And Ferto just overlooked all of them.
….
""Open! Heaven's Gate!"" Viel and Lux said at the same time while their Grandma said goodbye to them.
They appeared in the plaza of Leaf Village and, unexpectedly, Colette was there with the Goldenslayer Party.
"Hi, Big Brothers!" Colette shouted.
""Hi!"" Lux and Viel replied.
"Did you just return from Solais?" Colette asked.
"Yes. In a few days, we will go on a mission, so I won't be able to accompany you."Lux explained.
"It's not like we need you to accompany us." Matty said. "And don't get so close to Colette Half-Elf"
"Can we go with you?" Colette asked hoping to go with her Big Brothers on an adventure.
"No." Viel instantly answered. "And don't try to convince us. I am the one that decides it and I won't let you come with us. It's not that I don't want, it's just that is too dangerous and risky for you to come with us. Even I don't know if we are going to make it out unscathed."
Colette stood there while pouting, but she knew that if it was dangerous even for her Big Brothers, her party wouldn't be able to help at all. It was more possible that they would become a nuisance to them.
They both bid farewell and after that, Viel and Lux went separate ways. After all, they both needed to make their own preparations.
…..
"Hello Master, long time no see." Viel said.
No one replied to him, the only thing that came to him was a flying hammer directed at his head.
He dodged it and took out a special thing he had prepared for this occasion. A limited-edition honey beer that cost him no less than 100 gold coins.
"Master, I'm sorry for not coming earlier. I needed to attend to some matters that would make my strength grow." Viel explained. "As a form of apology, I brought you the special limited-edition Honey Beer from the Stronghold I live in on my world."
Randolph didn't say anything, he just stripped the mug with the Honey Beer from Viel's hand and took a long sip from it.
After gulping half of the mug, he burped and stamped it on a table.
"I see you still haven't forgotten your master." Randolph said. "I will forgive you just this once. I hope it won't happen again."
He drank the rest of the Honey Beer and wiped his mouth with his hand.
"Now, tell me what business you needed to attend to and for which you could not come to see me to practice your blacksmithing."
Viel told Randolph what happened with Cassandra and his new abilities, leaving out that he was a reincarnated person sent by the gods and his intimate night with his Darling.
"Okay. I will forgive you this time, but you must make me a weapon right now for me to see that you are still worthy of being my disciple."
"Ok Master, I won't let you down." Viel replied.
From his storage ring, he took out monster parts that he obtained from his numerous fights and some ores he bought or his Grandma gave to him.
"What are you going to do boy?" Randolph asked.
"I will only tell you that I am going to make a sword and a shield set."
"I understand. If you need my help, don't hesitate to call me." Randolph said as he left the forge room.
What Randolph didn't know was that when Viel visited his Grandma, he also paid a visit to Uncle Reiner and copied his Blacksmiths' proficiency; and not just of a Grandmaster Blacksmith, but of a Zen Master Blacksmith.
Although he didn't have the skills of a Zen Master Blacksmith, he could reach that rank in no time.
A Zen Master Blacksmith is no joke. It is the rank previous to a Saint-Ranked Blacksmith.
Viel smelt some ores until they were liquid, thanks to his < Master of Metals [Ex] > skill it was a lot easier than it should have been. Then, he tossed inside the claws and fangs of various monsters. When everything was mixed, he poured it into a mould; but it didn't end there, he summoned his Blood Brush and used the blood of Rank 1 and 2 Kobolds to imprint runes in the ingot. After it cooled down, it started emitting an eerie gloom.
He heated it again and started hammering it. The hammer he used was one his master gifted him when he became his disciple, and it was a Unique Rank one.
After hours of hammering and tempering the sword in blood, he finished.
The sword was reddish bronze and it had runes glowing along the edge. Viel cut his finger and with his own blood wrote 'Blood Beast'- the name of the sword.
His blood disappeared, as absorbed by the sword.
He repeated the same process, but instead of fangs and claws, he used monsters' hides and shells.
The result was a shield that he named 'Blood Guardian'.
When the set of sword and shield was done, a window appeared in front of him with the details about it.

Sorry for having disappeared. I don't have a lot of readers, and I should treasure the few ones I have.
It may be a very bad excuse, but I didn't post any new chapter due to university.
I know it seems like the last excuse I gave, but it's true.
Last time, I had one midterm exam and now I'm going to have the final exam. In January I will have the rest of them, so I wanted to say sorry now in case I disappear again.
It's my first year in university and everything is just a little new, so please forgive me.
As always, I hope you enjoy the chapter and have a nice day/night.
