Emily has always loved art ever since she was a little girl. Her mother always told her that every drawing had life and a meaning, art is life. And this teaching had been stuck in her heart even after Her mother was mysteriously murdered and the police never caught the culprit.
That morning she had prepared to go to work when the town real estate agent informed her about the Psalms move in. She decided she would go say hello when she got back from the office. She had fervently prayed that it shouldn't be an old couple who was moving in but learning that it was some city guys, she was relieved but then again she hoped that it shouldn't be weirdos or an ex-convict. She didn't have any problem with them but she just didn't like having them around.
"Emily. Mrs Callaghan had requested to see the new paintings" Jordy had snapped her out of her unconsciousness and pulled her back to business.
"Thanks Jordy" Jordy was a curator at the gallery and had been friends with her for over two years. Those two clicked the moment they met and have been inseparable. Emily adjusted her outfit as she stood up to meet with her client, probably a potential buyer.
The clock ran more than its usual pace and before Emily knew it, it was time to get off work. The day was still clear and she got a few more minutes to get ready for her night appointment and also stopped by to say hello to her new neighbors.
She stared at her slender figure in the long gold frame mirror that stood by the corner of her room, the dress she had picked hugged her body like a child who won't let go of the mother. The outfit revealed her bare neck with she placed the single gemstone necklace her mother had passed down to her. She clutched it as she stared at herself. She was a splitting image of her mother but tonight she was going to leave her grieving heart and put on a cheerful one. She was ready for her appointment and still had some minutes left. She took her mini bag and strutted over to Psalm's place, she took a deep breath and wore her cheerful smile as she rang the doorbell.
The Man that opened the door was nothing she had ever seen. He was taller than her even on her heels, his face was like that of a Greek god, sculpted and well defined. His wood brown eyes were beautiful and it was nothing like she has ever seen and those kissable lips that stared at her like they were waiting for her to kiss them. She felt the urge of running her hands into his messy hair but she composed herself.
"Hi!,You must be the new neighbor, I'm Emily." She was definitely attracted to this man. The way his eyes stared into hers gave an adrenaline rush.
"Yeah it's nice to meet you Emily. I'm Psalm" his voice sounded like music to her ears and this feeling building inside her was lustful and it was all because of this stranger who stood before her.
"I live across the street, heard you new here just wanted to say hi "
"Sorry we should be the one doing the greetings but we're so tired from moving in "
"Nope it's okay. It doesn't matter" she let out a soft laugh. She was definitely attractive, Psalm concluded.
"Hey babe" A blonde hair in a sky blue shirt and black pants walked over, placing his hands on Emily and giving her a kiss on her cheek.
"Hi love, this my new neighbor Psalm" she smiled. "Psalm my boyfriend Adams "
Psalm felt a twitch of pain, it was no secret he was attracted to her but she was in a relationship probably a committed one. They fit together, a classic lady and a classic guy with an ironed shirt instead of him who was wearing a hoodie and gray sweatpants.
"Nice to meet you man " he said introducing himself which Adam did in return. He was surprised how they included him in every conversation they had and he felt like he had known them for a long time.
"Are you seeing someone?" Adams asked.
"Nooo.. uh haven't found the right one yet" Psalm shrugged. He never bothered looking for one since his time was numbered. Maybe after everything, when he's done searching for the descendant of Ophis, maybe then he'll find love.
"You're in Reedshores, it's small but there's a lot of beautiful ladies surely you'll fall in love with one just like I did " Adams kissed Emily who just laughed at the gesture.
"Don't mind Adams, he's a bit talkative. We will be on our way now, if you need anything please don't hesitate to come over " She stepped in front of him and gave him a kiss on both sides of his cheeks before leaving with Adams.
Emily likes her new neighbor, that's without a doubt. She was attracted to him, that's right, just a mere attraction. Looking at Adams she couldn't help to notice the difference between the both of them. Psalm was Hot and mysterious type but Adams was cute and an open book.
"Why are you looking at me like that? " Adams asked. She just smiled and placed her lips on his. He was not perfect or hot like Psalm but he was perfect for her or so she thought.
"I'm going to need more of those when we get back" Emily chuckled, placing her hands on his cheeks.
"You'll get more than that " She kissed him again which he reciprocated, wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her closer to him.
"I love you Emily Sanchez" he muttered in between the kisses.
"I know, " She smiled. Maybe she loved him, maybe she didn't. But at this point she didn't care, all she cared about was spending the night with her lover, doing all sorts of weird stuff.
