Marqs manages to start to steer the monsters hand and the monster is heavily resisting his pull. He is losing blood faster now and he can tell that he only has a minute at the most, he tries hard and gets the hand over to the heart, But the beast realizes what he is trying to do and uses its other hand to knock him away. 'Dammit I need to do something or else I'll really die!' he thinks in a panic to himself.
He then realizes something, something that could end this fight, and runs over to a nearby tree and starts to punch at it, as he has actually chopped a tree before like this as a dare from his friends. he then realizes something weird about the tree. The tree is either very weak or he is very strong because in just 3 punches it was cut down and it started to slowly creak its way forward, racking up speed.
The tree falls and lands right on top of the knife that is still stuck inside the crack of the beast and it launches the knife inside the armor and the beast, the beast then lets out a ear splitting roar of pain before slowly ceasing all movement.
Marqs sits down and starts to feel very queasy and light headed and he starts to lose consciousness. He passes out and basks in the glory of killing such a monster before dying himself. but something very strange happens. He hears a noise kinda like a level up you would hear in a video game, before fully losing consciousness.
He woke up after an unknown amount of time completely fine. he looks at himself and sees that his clothes are basically dyed red, and he wonders how he didn't die especially after losing probably all his blood. He wonders how he is now healed and he remembers what happened and marqs looks for the beast. He sees it exactly as it was when he defeated it and he walks over to it, examining it.
He sees the sword laying beside the best and decides to try and pick it up, as he does so it shrinks and changes shape into a katana and he suddenly knows why.

'what is is new information I'm getting?' he thinks to himself as info about the sword is beemed Into his head. He looks back at the body and decides to try his new blade out, even though he has never even wielded anything other than a knife. He walks over and swings the blade with both hand and the sword cuts through the armor and body of the beast like a hot knife and butter.
'oh my lord that thing is sharp! good thing I never got cut by this thing or else I would have been in 2 halves' he thinks to himself before deciding to chop up and bury the body of the beast. "wouldn't want anyone else to find this big guy" he says and he manually digs out a hole with his hand and chops up the body but he spots something.
'a book?' he thinks to himself 'and a.....orb?' he picks the 2 items up and examines them. The book is the size of a school textbook for math and the orb is the size of a baseball and fits perfectly in marqs hand. after the examination he decides to store them until he finds a safe place to rest again. "better get going I guess." marqs says as he look at the road and decides to head to the right instead of the direction he was going when he was being chased by the giant monster.
