Locating Lizard turned out to be even harder than I expected. Thanks to Zeke's perception of auras, we conclude Lizard climbed to the first floor. Even with the castle's high ceilings, we were only on the second floor.
From the courtyard, Lizard could've gone anywhere in the castle. But now that Zeke agreed, no matter how reluctantly, to track him, we can follow him into any place, too.
But at what time? That's the real question.
I gather my notes on timings and on time flows. Two hallways after I realize that the parameters of the time flow I look at changed since the last time I and Zeke passed here.
I tell Zeke just so.
"This creates even more chaos," he responds grimly. "It's a good thing that the time itself, at least, is mostly two-dimensional. No matter where we go, we will stay on the same road as our target."
