Ten years ago, there was a war between humans and demons. This war was known as The Great War of Daguro.
Dating back in this time, a man known as Richard Ironheart, the father of Godfrey Ironheart, was humanities greatest fighter when up against the demon race.
But he wasn't alone, as there was someone on the battlefield whom he trusted more than anyone, and who also stuck by his side until the end.
Her name was Emma.
Emma Ironheart, his beloved wife.
Their tag team against the demon race was unstoppable, as trying to fight against them was similar to trying to cut down a tree with a kitchen knife.
In other words;
It was impossible.
Emma was a powerful warlock, even without the need of skills that Atlantis City given to their sorcerers.
The battle took place outside the regions of Atlantis City; Mediocre village at the time was torched, as commoners there had to flee for their safety.
["You're unpredictable, Emma."]
A man with long brown hair, emerald eyes, wearing a black robe had spoken next to a beautiful woman.
The woman had short, blonde hair, blue eyes, while wearing a blue robe around her body, fit for a warlock in battle.
These two individuals were Emma, and Richard.
["Am I really? I wouldn't call torching a few demons 'unpredictable'."] She said with a giggle.
["It isn't that, it's the fact that you can move in such agile ways when you're bearing our child, my love."] Richard responded.
And it was true.
Emma currently was pregnant while on the battlefield, fighting in a war between conflict.
["A mother will go to great lengths to secure their child's future! I will make sure our baby has the best life he could ever dream of, and you should do the same, my beloved."]
Richard nodded his head to her words.
["Of course, dear."]
They stood side by side as many humans fell in the battlefield, leaving only them to be surrounded by hordes of demons in armor, with broadswords, axes, and plenty of other warlocks that used magic as support.
["In the end, it's only me and you standing, Emma. Shall we do it again?"] Richard asked.
["Fumu. Do you mean our infamous combination?"] Emma responded.
["Of course I do! Let's blast these suckers to hell!"] Shouted Richard.
["Yes, let's!"]
Emma extended her hand to her side, as did Richard. They held each other's hands, and combined their elemental type.
Emma was naturally ice, and Richard was naturally wind. A combination between their attacks would scare the demons if they managed to pull it off.
["T-They're going through with that combined attack again. Shit, charge at them! Don't let them pull it off! Warlocks, give support and use your spells!"] One man lead the army of demons, holding a massive halberd inside his hand, standing at a height of 6'7. This man was William, before he became one of the BlackWing council members.
Emma and Richard eventually created a small orb between their palms, having it swirl with orange, and green colors.
["Ironheart Brand: Tornado of Unrelenting Hell!"] Shouted Emma, and Richard.
Before the demons could reach them, they thrusted their arms forward, and launched a tornado of fire that burned endlessly.
Wind kept the fire fueled, while the tornado proceeded to get larger and larger.
The entire battlefield was being scorched.
Demons were being sucked into the burning-tornado, perishing on a molecular level from the intense flames.
["Shit! It's too late, take cover!"] Proclaimed William.
Demons in their heavy, dark armor, tried running away, however they were inevitably sucked into the tornado of mass destruction.
Warlocks created barriers using wind magic, but even they were sucked away.
It was impossible to escape their combined attack.
William was the only one remaining, as he stabbed his halberd into the ground, clinging onto the handle for his life.
["Damnit!!! Damnit all!! Aaaaaaaahhh!!!"] William shouted while his legs were being sucked behind him, attempting to drag him into the tornado. ["I wont die like this! I am the warlord of demons! I am William, the unbreakable! You wont defeat me, you insolent swines!"]
William used brute strength, stomping his feet in the ground as if he defied physics.
He used two hands to grab the handle of his halberd, and proceeded to pull it out with all his strength, throwing it at the burning-tornado without hesitation.
His muscles had protruding veins, as did his forehead.
The halberd didn't go off course, and instead sliced through the tornado like butter, shredding it apart, and stopping its calamitous effects.
William was panting, feeling his muscles spasm.
["Impressive, you stopped an Ironheart Brand attack."] Walking up to William was Richard, who placed his hand on his hip, looking down at the warlord demon.
["The hell is an Ironheart Brand attack?"] Asked William.
["It is something that me and my husband created; It's a combination of our magic, that allows us to deal with hordes of enemies all at once. It's perfect for war, and dealing with fools like you."] Emma aggressively proclaimed, whilst walking to William, stepping on his shoulder with her boot, crushing him down into the ground.
["This conflict between humans and demons has lasted for centuries, when will it end? I'm tired of these pointless wars. Out of all of the wars we had, this by far is the worst from them all!"]
Emma kicked the demon into his cheek, knocking him to his side.
["You should repent demon. Say your prayer to the god, Ferdows, as you will be meeting with a horrible fate in the afterlife."] Emma held out her hand, conjuring an icicle in front of her.
["Heh… go ahead human, kill me if it makes you sleep easy at night. Just know this; when I die, and my soul transcends out this universe, I will come back one day. Either by reincarnation, or perhaps with enough hatred that I even force the spirits in the afterlife to send me back!"] William chuckled. ["Your race will only last so long."]
Emma smirked, and replied in a mocking manner, ["If you believe that a filthy reincarnation will be enough to best me, then perhaps my kick to your head knocked a few screws loose, demon!"] Emma launched her icicle from her hand… but—
["Oh no, Emma, watch out!"] Richard called out for his wife, tackling her to the side as a large wave of flames engulfed their previous position.
The torrent of flames were hot enough to turn them into ash in under a second.
Richard stayed on top of Emma, turning around to face the attacker.
["That attack… it's not something that those previous warlocks could've done, so who is it?"] Muttered Richard.
["I see, incredible reflexes. If it wasn't for you, your pretty little wife would've been vaporized."] A woman soon appeared in all black, as she stood behind William.
["Hahaha, I know that voice anywhere! It's good to see you Mammon, where have you been? You're Fenedae's greatest Warlock, why weren't you here in the beginning?"] William asked.
Fenedae was referred to as the demons country, where all demons were born. It's a large country, being the size of North America if you were to compare the two.
Fenedae, the land of demons.
Daguro, the land of humans.
Fenedae was known to be demon only, as they hated outsiders, especially humans.
Daguro was known to be welcoming to countless races, except demons. It's also known for Atlantis City, specifically.
These two opposing nations would never stop their pointless wars, even if you prayed to the god, Ferdows herself.
["The strongest in Fenedae? Is that right?"] Asked Richard.
["Looks like the table has flipped, Richard Ironheart!"] Proclaimed William, as he risen to his feet.
["Flipped? No, I don't think anything flipped at all. Why not add an extra guy to your aid? You'll need it for when my fist is pummeling your face inwards, fatso."] Richard smugly said.
["What did you say?"] Shouted William.
["You have confidence, despite seeing my last fire-spell I conjured on you. Are you saying that you can defeat me?"] Mammon said curiously.
["Without question. I've only been using my basic magic through this whole war."]
["What?"] Mammon muttered.
["What the hell are you saying, 'using your basic magic'? Stop with the bluff, we know that you sorcerers from Atlantis city has those things known as skills, don't play us for fools!"] Shouted William.
["If I were to activate my skill from the get-go, our war would've been over far too quickly."]
William clenched his fist in annoyance.
["The hell are you trying to say?"] Asked the brute demon.
["I would've not only killed every demon here, but the same would be for every human as well… but… since theirs nobody left on this battlefield, I decided, why not?"]
["R-Richard, what are you saying?"] Emma gotten up from the ground, holding her stomach. ["Y-You won't use your skill, would you? You know the risk, it can kill you!"] Emma walked over to him, placing her hand on his shoulder, and leaning into his back. ["You can't use it… let's settle this with our magic, together!"]
Richard turned to face Emma, smiling at his beloved.
["Emma, rest… you have our baby to look after. It's a fathers job to protect his family at all cost, and you aren't in the condition to fight anymore. Please, retreat for now."] Richard turned around, pecking a kiss on her forehead. ["I love you with all my heart… do what I ask for once, and don't be stubborn, please?"]
Emma looked up at him with teary eyes… but she held them back, and nodded her head.
["Come back home safe…"] Emma responded.
["No promises."] Richard said before turning back around. ["Shall we get started?"]
Emma ran away, retreating off the battlefield.
Tears streamed down her eyes as she rubbed her stomach, saying a small prayer for her beloved's safety.
