The group had been put in difficult situations since they got to the strange planet, strange enough they had been able to avoid the dangers of the obstacles they passed, their goal, getting to the mountain where the crystal was.
To get to the mountain, they needed to get pass the rock slopes, and thanks to Jasmine's holowatch detecting a big amount of energy readings from the rock, they noticed the abnormality of where they were about to pass. Then the bait test was used as a precaution showing them what they needed to see.
And after seeing the height and strength of the giant presumably rock and dirt shark monster, they were put in a tight position, only to be saved by Ivy, who had been cultivating for a long time to attune to the energy of the planet. She finally attuned and led them through the rock slope.
They continued with the soon to be over journey, what they didn't expect was to see a rune circle on the road up to the mountain. Ivy examined it and noted that it was something she had never seen before. Nonetheless she knew it was a rune ritual altar.
Jake who was confident in the amount of blood he could produced for the altar, informed Ivy about his plan and told her to cast a spell maybe the rune altar would be their ticket home instead. Without casting a spell the circle opened as soon as Jake's blood touched it, desperation led them falling into a tunnel of some sort.
A whole knew emotion of worry escaped them all, except for Jake whose emotions was different after examining the hieroglyphics on the tunnel walls. It was as if he could feel the pain of the war outlining illustrations.
Soon moving from their positions, they met them selves in front of a elephant Haridwar entrance, and a statue stood there with an eerie fit. The words on the statue "Abandon all hope, we rise at moon's glow".
Hope, the positive feeling that they would somehow go home. It was what was given them the energy to continue surviving, the words on the statue might not be for them, they had plenty of hope to keep them going.
The statue's eyes shimmered yellow, it wasn't just a statue, it was the guardian of the temple.
"It's alive," Tyson yelled, having spotted the glow in the statue's eyes.
The statue then began to move, it flapped it's wings and let out a deafening shriek, it's eyes roared fury.
A golden color of energy rushed to the statues claw like hand, it made a swipe for Ivy's face. Xadia was quick enough to take action as he caught it's claw hand. The statue shifted it's gaze to Xadia, he held Xadia's hand and flung him to the wall of the tunnel.
Jake quickly extended the invisible claws on his hands, he then began to throw invisible energy swipes at the statues as he moved closer to make the attacks more accurate. It did nothing to the statues green rock body, there was no sign of damaged.
The statue noticing the attacks from Jake darted it's eyes to Jake, it's eyes lit up another golden glow, The statues throat convulsed, it then let out another shriek, it's maw was a design of razor sharp fangs. It lifted it's head up and gathered the energy within it, a trail of golden could be seen rushing to the throat, it clenched it's hands and dug it's leg to the ground. A golden energy was shot at Jake.
He was to late to react and the golden energy soon enveloped him, he shielded with his hands. Strangely the energy wasn't burning him, it wasn't inflicting any pain, it felt like a tinging sensation pushing his arms as he was been pushed to the wall.
The energy was familiar to him, it was the one energy he had always used to fight, it felt like it, the invisible energy attacks he would always throw, only that this one was very visible. He began to absorb the familiar energy into his body, it was enticing and arousing..
The statue noticed what Jake was doing, it increased the blast and intensity of the attack until it was enough to knock Jake to the wall.
A swift stab of energy spears where being launched at the statues body, still it wasn't showing any sign of restraint or damage, 'What it's made of, the space here is very small, I can't use the spider form to manueveur around to find any weakness', He glanced at Ivy who was reciting a spell, "I hope the spell you're siphoning is enough to deal with this monster,' Tyson thought in his mind, as he darted his eyes back to the statue.
The statues reaction suddenly changed, it caught Tyson's energy tentacle and began to pull at it. Tyson was pulling back his orbs with the invisible connection he had with the orbs, his face tensed up, he was struggling, but the plan wasn't to win the toggle.
Tyson summoned his orbs back to his body. The force and strength the statue was using rebelled, the statues weight pulled it's body to the floor until it fell to the ground. Tyson successfully got the creature to the ground, now it was all up to Ivy.
One of her eyes were black, sweat was dripping from her face and she was slowly reciting the spell, it felt as if she had not much control on the energy she was using to siphon, but the reason was different, the tunnel they were in was fighting her spell, it restricted spells.
"It's getting up, Ivy be quick," Tyson said summoning back his orbs. He was getting ready for another session with the statue.
The statue got up from the ground, and it's eyes glowed again, Tyson began to stab with his spear on the statue, and yet again there was no damage, he was waiting for the statue to catch his energy tentacles again, but the statue had learned.
The statues wings began to vibrate, and the golden color rushed to both of the wings, a thrust of air circled the wings of the statue. It then clasped both of it's wings together, a big air wave hit both Ivy and Tyson, sending them to the far ends of the tunnel where Jasmine was spectating.
Ivy and Tyson where out of the fight, they groaned from their injuries. Xadia was up now and so was Jake. "How are we going to defeat it, there's no sign of damage, after all we did," Xadia said to Jake who was opposite him.
"What's it made of," Jake asked a rhetorical question.
Jasmine had been typing on her holowatch trying to find a weak point, "You can't beat it, it's body can't be damaged, you have to deactivate," Jasmine said, she was scrolling from interface to interfaces on her holoscreen.
"Deactivate it?, Does it have a function for that?" Jake asked.
"I think so," Jasmine replied, three lines of ray extended from Jasmine's holo watch, it went straight at the statue, it then scanned all it's body. The statue was clawing at the ray of lights.
"Here I found it, it has a locket at the back of it's head, one of you need to get behind it to deactivate it," Jasmine informed.
"You distract it, I think I can go past it's defence," Jake shared.
"Let's do it," Xadia nodded.
Jake rushed towards the statue, and it was ready for him. It eyes flickered golden, it's throat convulsed, it clenched it's hands, it was preparing it's previous attack. A golden light formed in the mouth of the statue, it then released it's attack at Jake.
Jake clenched both his fists and brought them together, he then thrust through the golden energy coming his way, the tingling sensation remained, but he wasn't planning on absorbing the energy this time.
He pushed with his fists and bent his knee, he then slowly move towards the statue, and just like before the statue increased the intensity and strength of it's attack, but Jake wasn't giving in. He gnashed his teeth as he moved in closer the energy was starting to push him.
He was soon in front of the statue, he loosened his push a little bit, and the weight of the attack came in, gathering the same energy in his body to his fist, he made a last thrust at the energy and his fists collided with it's face.
It was dazzled for a moment, and it's sight was blurry, it's sight began to clear, and the one in front of it was no longer there, seeing the new trespasser in front of it, the statue threw a claw at Xadia.
He successfully dodged it, the statue roared and was about to claw again when a punch came from it's behind. It let out a shriek, it's brick key had been hit, it's body then began to glow golden, and the energy in it's body began to drain and it was rushing to the back of it's neck, and the energy was seeping into Jake's body.
The glow in it's eyes dimmed and it's body became petrified again.
