The glow in Xadia's eye soon faded.
"Dude, what was that, you dealt him down with one blow, that's impossible," Jake exclaimed, "I can tell that he's stronger than both of us, I didn't think we could defeat him".
"Let's get out of here, quickly, he's not done, he'll, he'll be up in a minute," Xadia said in a strangled voice. Xadia turned on his sneakers and made for the sky, Jake drew his energy claws, and launched at the wall, leaping at the other until he was atop the building, he then began to jump from buildings to buildings following after Xadia.
They soon covered a lot of buildings until Xadia descended from the sky, down to a building's top, Jake soon met up with him. "You could at least slow down, I don't have a flying boot," Jake said with a breathy voice, "Who was that, and what did he want with you, and what happened to your face," Jake asked
Xadia rubbed his fingers on his face, "It's nothing," Xadia replied, "You're here, we're here, we didn't make it to the academy, at least we're in the city, I thought you guys didn't make it, where are the others," Xadia asked.
"I don't know, Ashrak's energy exploded the crystal, and I suddenly fell from the skies, I arrived this morning, I have been looking around for everyone, that's what I've been doing till, I felt Ashrak's aura and I tracked you there, and I couldn't let Mr blade kill you," Jake replied.
"Ashrak? Is that its name?, the creature's name?" Xadia asked. "It's not a creature, it's a demon, it's one of the near civilized inhabitants of the planet, except that guy's an abomination".
"He spoke a language we couldn't understand, but you understood him, how?". Xadia asked.
"I don't know, when I saw him, I started having visions of him, and I could somehow understand what he said," Jake replied and relived the visions and words of Ashrak in his mind.
"You said you fell from the sky, I also fell from the skies, I appeared where a gang turf war was happening, and I got spotted by him," Xadia looked to the ground, "Does that mean that the others are stuck on the planet!" Xadia exclaimed, his eyebrows went up.
"I don't think so, I saw them vanish before the crystal exploded, so i don't think they're still on the planet, we'll need to get back to school, to confirm the spell was successful, but first you need to take care of that," Jake pointed at his face, and Xadia understood what he meant.
"Come on, let's go to an emitters shop, i know a place," Jake said and leapt to the ground, Xadia followed him and they soon got to their intended destination. They both entered the building, and Xadia began to take in the shop's setup.
There were shimmering orbs of light suspended in the air in a way that one could only reason that a spell made it that way, each of the orbs representing a different type of energy. The walls are adorned with intricate displays showcasing the embers, sparks, and energy waves that could be channeled only by spell.
The air was alive with a hum of energy as customers tested their potential, there was a section for emitters in training to cast small illusions or generate sparks with the guidance of knowledgeable holographic screens to any intended spell they wanted to learn.
A central console allows emitters to customize and craft their unique spells, while hovering drones retrieve and deliver rare components from gleaming glass shelves. The ambiance is a blend of ancient mysticism and cutting-edge technology, inviting both seasoned emitters and curious novices to explore the limitless possibilities of siphon energy.
Xadia found himself approaching the rainbow energy embers and sparks dancing in the walls, he touched it and he suddenly felt a type of warmth vibrating in his chest, and it felt relieving, he soon closed his eyes.
"What are you doing?" Jake interrupted Xadia's state of pleasure, Xadia removed his hands and opened his eyes, "Oh nothing, the colors are beautiful, it's interesting," Xadia replied a little embarrassed, covering his face with his left hand.
"I got the potion," Jake gave the vial glowing liquid glass tube to Xadia, he collected the vial with his right hand, taking his mind from the pleasure he just felt. It was at this time that Xadia could feel his face, and he could feel no pain, there was no cut again, he could only feel the clotted blood that smeared his face, the cut was gone, it had healed, Xadia's eyes widened. 'It's healed, it was a deep cut?' Xadia thought bewildered.
He quickly gulped the vile down to avoid any suspicions from Jake. "Wow, I feel okay, it's gone," Xadia announced. "That fast, wow, the spell for this must be a level eight's!" Jake exclaimed, Xadia gave an awkward smile.
"Since we got you healed, we'll be needing credits to go back to school, I just emptied most of my credits, so that means you'll be following me home tonight, we should be able to get home with five hundred credits," Jake informed, "Let's go".
Jake soon led Xadia to the Uber port, he then put his left hand into the holographic port; It was the arm he wore his holowatch on. A beep sound confirmed the transaction, it seemed that the holowatch worked just like any credit card.
They soon reached their destination, and they alighted from the vehicle. Xadia's eyes caught the sight of the place they were, and it wasn't what he expected. 'Is this, is this his place, this is' Xadia thought confused.
The front of their destination wass adorned with minimalist yet comfortable furnishings that seem to blend seamlessly with the environment. Smart planters ports had an array of indigenous flora, enhanced with embedded nano sensors that adjust lighting and humidity levels to ensure their well-being, it manifested the weather of summer to the environment.
There was an harmonious blend of nature, innovation, and luxury, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a sensorial experience like no other. The furnitures were laced in a row with pixie like shrubs illuminating the entrance, and the building in the front clarified the place they were, it read in holographic colors; Silverstone Hotel
"Don't tell me this is where you lived," Xadia asked in excitement, Jake's smile answered his questions.
Jake soon led Xadia into the hotel, and Xadia was taking in everything. The ceiling above consisted of dynamic light panels that mimic the shifting patterns of the sky, from the glow of dawn to the brilliance of a starlight night.
The floor beneath your feet generates a gentle kinetic energy as you walk, powering the hotel's sustainable systems. The floor is made of a translucent material that subtly illuminates with soft, colorful hues as you step onto it, creating a compelling static firework pattern as you walk.
It was a seamless blend of luxury and innovation, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. Xadia couldn't contain his excitement. He kept looking at Jake and gasping at every wave he felt.
A hotel attendant in a flashy uniform approached the duo, "Good day young master, may I take you to your room". "Don't worry, I still know where it is, this place isn't that big you know," Jake said, and he met a stern gaze from Xadia that he soon interpreted into words, 'Are you kidding me, you think?'.
Xadia followed Jake as he led him to the elevator, and for once it felt good to see something from his time still applicable here in the future. That thought soon vanished as Xadia entered the elevator, the elevator control panel was holographic, and the same light show were dancing in the walls.
Jake scrolled through the holographic panel, and clicked on the number two, his fingerprint was scanned, and a countdown soon appeared, running from five to zero. Jake closed his eyes and Xadia was expecting the floor to move. A bright light illuminated the space, causing Xadia to close follow up on Jake's reaction to the light "We have arrived," An automated voice resonated, as the light faded.
The door soon opened, and a big space could be seen, but Xadia was caught in his mind. 'Did we just teleport, this is different, this didn't happen at the fords, that means this place is too big that it doesn't make use of a lift.
"I'll leave you to explore my room, I gotta go check up on something, do you mind?" Jake informed Xadia.
"That's alright, I still can't believe you live here," Xadia couldn't help but mention.
"Yeah, a couple of days here and you'll get used to it, okay then later," Jake pocketed his hands, as soon as the elevator door closed. He pressed on the panel and clicked on the number one icon. His aura soon changed, as the elevated light faded, he his eyebrows went down low in disdain.
"Jake?" A monotone voice could be heard.
"Father!" Jake asserted.
