[Sorry Freddy. I accidentally placed my territory down but I'll start expanding towards you - Isabel Valenaus]
[No it's fine. I'll find a good place to start and expand towards you - Freddy Voided]
Even though her territory was graded S- it didn't have any freshwater sources. Isabel had no choice but to search for some since she was becoming parched.
She had killed a few beasts on the headland so her physical stats had increased. This meant her stamina was higher than before despite her increasing appetite.
She travelled a few kilometres inland before finding a rapidly flowing river, but there were some aquatic creatures that made Isabel cautious of the safety of this water.
With her strengthened body she was sure she could drink less than potable water to an extent. However, in this new world, many creatures varied from the norm on Earth so she was worried about any poisonous characteristics.
Luckily there was the system to help identify the characteristics of most entities that were dead or were without sentience.
She decided to use the system to check the water for any poisonous substances. The system confirmed her suspicions that the water was contaminated with some toxins. Unfortunately what toxins it contained and how toxic it was could not be determined.
As a result, she started by damming a portion of the river and killed the creatures inside of it. Since the river wasn't too big and most of the species were helpless fish Isabel could easily slaughter them.
The sealed portion was showing signs of being broken into by the river since she hadn't simply made a small artificial meander and blocked her test space with some dirt.
Seeing this, Isabel rushed into the nearest forest and grabbed a young boar before forcing it to drink the bloody water. At this point the dam had been broken through, but that no longer concerned her.
Dragging the boar by the scruff of its neck she set it on a stone and watched it for a few minutes before killing it. She inspected its body, it seemed there were no signs of poison that could affect her in the short term.
Isabel decided to take a small sip of the water herself, just to be sure. She took a cautious drink, waiting for any immediate negative effects, but she felt fine. She drank a bit more, feeling her thirst quenched.
However, she knew that drinking too much of this water could still be dangerous. Isabel knew she couldn't drink this water for an extended period of time, but it was better than nothing.
She needed to find a better water source if she wanted to survive in this world. Isabel made a mental note to search for a safer water source and to expand her territory in that direction. She would also need to find a way to purify this water before she drank it again.
She packed up her supplies and started heading back to her territory. As she walked, she considered the challenges she would face in this new world. But despite the dangers, she was determined to survive and thrive in this unfamiliar place.
Once she was back, Isabel levelled up the territory as much as she could. She also got herself to level 1, officially gaining the ability to use special energies.
Now that she had access to the required energy she looked at the floor beneath her and activated the earth element from her Omni-Mage talent, recalling the principles of soil, minerals and rocks.
Isabel concentrated on the ground beneath her feet, visualizing the earth element flowing through her body and into the ground. She felt a subtle vibration under her feet as the energy flowed out of her.
Slowly but surely, the ground around her began to shift and change. Rocks and minerals bubbled up to the surface, forming a patch of fertile soil that would be perfect for growing crops.
Isabel smiled in satisfaction as she looked at the newly transformed land. She knew that this would be a valuable asset for her survival and growth in this new world.
As the mana expenditure for this action was a little high, Isabel decided to take a break and rest for a while, contemplating her next move. While she sat on the newly created soil, she felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over her.
Getting up, she walked to another piece of land and channelled her mana into the ground, this time trying to make an artificial lake. Isabel closed her eyes and concentrated, feeling the energy within her flow towards the ground.
She imagined the earth and water elements, focusing on the water's fluidity and ability to sustain life. As she opened her eyes, she saw the ground around her start to shift and transform once again.
A small depression in the ground formed, slowly filling with water from thin air. Isabel continued to channel her energy, coaxing the water to flow and deepen until it formed a small lake.
She smiled as she looked at her handiwork, knowing that this would provide her with a reliable source of freshwater. She could also use it to farm fish, which would provide her with another source of food.
Isabel sat by the edge of the lake, feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride. She had used her talents and abilities to transform the land around her, making it more hospitable and productive.
But she also knew that she couldn't become complacent. There was still much to explore and discover in this new world, and she needed to continue to improve her skills and abilities if she wanted to thrive.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Isabel stood up and looked out into the horizon, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Isabel was patrolling around her territory when she noticed a plume of smoke rising from the distance. As she got closer, she could hear the sound of growling and snarling.
Curious, she made her way towards the source of the smoke and the noise. As she approached, she saw a young man huddled against a rock, surrounded by a group of hostile beasts.
Isabel could see the fear in the man's eyes as he tried to defend himself with a crude weapon. He was clearly not equipped to handle the dangerous creatures that were threatening his life.
Without hesitation, Isabel rushed towards the beasts, drawing her sword. She swung her weapon with practised ease, dispatching the beasts one by one. The man looked on in awe as Isabel fought off the creatures with ease.
As the last of the beasts fell, Isabel turned to the man and asked if he was injured. The man, clearly in shock, stuttered out a response that he was unharmed but terrified.
Isabel offered the man some water she had conjured earlier and sat down next to him to hear his story. The man, whose name was Alex, had suddenly been transported here and was attacked by the beasts. In desperation, he had lit a smoky fire to try and dissuade the creatures, but it hadn't worked.
Isabel listened patiently, her eyes scanning the area for any more danger. She knew that the area was infested with hostile creatures, and it was only a matter of time before another attack occurred.
Without hesitation, Isabel offered Alex a place in her territory. She could provide him with food, water, and protection from the dangers of the surrounding wilderness.
Alex was grateful for Isabel's offer, and he accepted it gratefully. As they walked towards Isabel's territory, she explained to him the dangers of the area and how to protect himself from the various beasts.
Soon, however, Isabel started to notice changes in Alex's behaviour. He became increasingly lustful towards her and would often make inappropriate comments or advances.
Isabel, who had grown to appreciate the company of Alex, having been the first human she had contacted in this world, tried to ignore his behaviour at first, hoping that he would stop. But it only got worse, and Isabel realised that Alex was becoming increasingly greedy and entitled.
Alex made a move on Isabel, and she had enough. She stood up and drew her sword, telling Alex that she would not tolerate his behaviour any longer.
Alex, taken aback by Isabel's sudden shift in demeanour, tried to apologise and begged for her forgiveness. But Isabel was done with him. She realised that she had made a mistake in saving him and regretted it deeply. Without another word, Isabel drew her sword and decapitated the scumbag.
As she reminisced on her encounter with Alex, the weak and unattractive man who had tried to target her because she was a woman. Isabel felt a wave of disgust and regret wash over her, remembering how she had saved his life only for him to try and take advantage of her.
Isabel realised that this new world was not just filled with dangerous creatures and hostile environments, but also with people like Alex who were lustful and greedy. She knew that she needed to be careful and protect herself from those who would try to harm her.
But as she thought about it more, Isabel realised that she didn't need to rely on anyone else for protection. She had the skills and abilities to defend herself and thrive on her own.
With this new realisation, Isabel felt a shift in her worldview. She was no longer just a survivor in this new world, but a ruler. She was the master of her own destiny, and she would not let anyone else dictate her path.
Isabel smiled as she looked out into the horizon, feeling a sense of empowerment and confidence. She was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that she had the strength and determination to succeed.
