Chapter 16 - More Enemies

Jay ascended a mountain that he had recently incorporated into his domain, accompanied by a large number of followers who were embarking on the same expedition.

As Jay and his followers climbed the mountain, they experienced different challenges that tested their strength, resilience, and teamwork. They had to navigate through rocky terrain, steep slopes, and unpredictable weather conditions.

Jay took charge of the group, motivating and encouraging them to push through the difficulties they faced. He reminded them of the reward waiting for them at the top of the mountain, which kept them motivated to continue.

Along the way, Jay and his followers also had the opportunity to admire the stunning views from the mountain. The fresh air, the sound of birds chirping, and the natural beauty of the surroundings served as a source of inspiration for the group.

As they continued to climb higher, the journey became more challenging. Jay and the captains he appointed had no problem with the difficulties, continuing to climb without breaking a sweat, but some members of the group began to lag behind. Jay noticed this and made sure to provide support and encouragement to those who needed it, ensuring that no one was left behind.

The day following his triumph over the Blazing Vixen, Jay's scouts informed him of a new challenge - a solitary wyvern capable of exhaling icy blasts while in flight had been spotted in the area.

A noble creature of the dragon bloodline was simply irresistible to a possessor of the [Assimilation] talent. If even a giant snake could give him the bloodline of a Wyrm just thinking of the resulting bloodline of a Wyvern kill sent chills through his body.

However, Jay was well aware of the danger that came with such a famous creature. As a result, he brought in his entire army, and a singular scout to guide him to its location.

The scouts had gathered information about a nest on top of a mountain that seemed to house the Wyvern, so they had to be warier as that lone Wyvern may not be so alone. There would also be a chance to find some eggs to make pets or an omelette.

As Jay and his army made their way to the mountain, they encountered a few obstacles. The terrain was treacherous, with narrow paths and steep cliffs. In addition, they had to keep a low profile to avoid being detected by the Wyvern's keen senses.

As they approached the mountain, they spotted the nest dug into the side of a jagged peak. Jay ordered his troops to set up a perimeter while he and a select few soldiers made their way up the mountain.

The climb was gruelling, but eventually, they reached the nest. They found several eggs, but they knew they had to focus on the Wyvern first. Jay signalled to his team to stay back while he approached the nest alone.

The Wyvern was resting inside the nest, its scales shimmering in the sunlight. Jay took a deep breath and activated his [Mother of Fire] talent, surrounding the Wyvern's nest with an intense fire, weakening its use of ice abilities.

Suddenly, the Wyvern awoke, sensing danger. It let out a deafening screech and took to the sky, unleashing a blast of icy breath that narrowly missed Jay. He quickly wielded his spear and engaged the Wyvern in battle.

The fight was intense, with the Wyvern swooping down to attack and Jay dodging and striking back with his spear. But with his bloodlines, skills and years of combat training, Jay emerged victorious.

As the Wyvern fell to the ground, Jay's troops cheered from below. He climbed down the mountain, his sword in hand and a smile on his face. He had conquered another legendary creature and gained a powerful new bloodline.

Soon after receiving the system message, he began to lead the troops down the mountain, carrying 5 eggs and a Wyvern corpse with them. However, as Jay and his troops made their way back down the mountain, they encountered a group of bandits who had been waiting for them. The bandits, armed with swords and bows, attacked Jay's army without warning.

This shocked Jay momentarily since there were so many humans, but after thinking about it he decided to capture one and interrogate them before acting shocked. In the meantime, the soldiers had already started slaughtering the vile thieves.

Regaining his composure, Jay quickly took charge of the situation, ordering his troops to form a defensive line before engaging the bandits in combat. The battle was fierce, but Jay and his army emerged victorious once again.

He had captured 2 of their leaders killing the rest and began to drag them back to his town. As they continued their journey back to their camp, Jay reflected on the challenges he had faced and how he had overcome them.

Jay also realised that there would always be new challenges to face and conquer, but he was confident that he and his army could face whatever lay ahead. He would continue to lead his troops with courage and determination, always striving to achieve greatness and protect his domain.

Soon they arrived at a medieval-esque stone wall and entered through its gates. Beyond these gates was a bustling town filled with merchants, craftsmen, and soldiers. The personnel cheered as Jay and his army entered, carrying their spoils from the battle.

Jay made his way to the town's central square, where he was greeted by his advisors and commanders. They congratulated him on his victory over the Wyvern and the bandits.

He then turned to the eggs they had brought back from the mountain, which were carefully carried behind him. Jay knew that these eggs held great potential, and he needed to ensure that they were protected and nurtured until they hatched.

Jay ordered his commanders to have the eggs transported to the town's best incubation chambers and to assign a team of skilled caretakers to look after them. He also tasked his advisors with researching the properties of the eggs and determining their potential uses.

As the sun began to set on the town, Jay walked to the prisons that had been recently constructed.

"Oi, you think you're hot stuff don't you!" Jay waltzed in with an ambience reflecting how pissed off he was.

He turned to the one with a lower position seeing that they weren't talking. Jay grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pushed him against the wall. "So you're not talking huh?"

The prisoner winced as Jay's grip tightened on his collar. "Please, I don't know anything," he stammered, his eyes wide with fear.

Jay released his hold on the prisoner, stepping back to examine him. The man was young, with a scruffy beard and a wild look in his eyes.

"Who do you work for?" Jay demanded, his voice cold and authoritative.

"I...I don't know, sir," the prisoner replied, his voice trembling. "We're just a group of bandits trying to make a living."

Jay narrowed his eyes. He had heard that excuse before. "Don't lie to me," he growled. "I know that you were planning to attack my army and steal our spoils. Besides there shouldn't be any groups like you this early on. Who sent you?"

The prisoner remained silent, his eyes darting nervously around the room. Jay sighed, realizing that he wasn't going to get any answers from this one.

"I wonder if a little fire will get you to talk, or maybe some blood chilling," he sneered gesturing for his guards to leave the room.

Jay activated his [Mother of Fire] talent and lit a small fire that danced on his fingertips. "So are you human?"

The prisoner's eyes widened as he saw the flames on Jay's fingertips. He recoiled, fear etched on his face.

"Yes, yes, I'm human!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling. "Please don't hurt me!"

Jay smirked, extinguishing the flames on his fingertips. "Good. Now, who sent you?" he repeated.

The prisoner hesitated, fear still evident in his eyes. "Our leader gathered all the human territory lords in the area and killed the others, and he has a powerful talent that lets him control monsters and people to an extent."

Jay's eyes narrowed. "And where can I find this leader of yours?"

The prisoner hesitated again before finally answering. "We have built our territories together. Ummm, Northeast. It's heavily guarded, though."

Jay nodded, satisfied with the information. "Very well. Take him back to his cell and make sure he doesn't escape. And make sure he gets a good meal tonight," he added, turning to his guards.

"Now, what should I do with you?" He said to the last prisoner who seemed to be the former's superior.

"Do your worst, I dare you!" A feminine voice resounded from the bandit's figure who was not looking at him.

"A feisty one eh? I guess you could do with some cooling." Jay activated his new ability [Frost Lord (A-)] to start conjuring a spell to chill the bandit's blood.

As the spell took effect she felt desperate and lethargic but continued to stay silent only this time she looked at Jay and scoffed.

However, when she saw his face her face dropped. After all, this was Jathhi Deity one of the 3 hidden bosses of the Old World. Even one of these three was able to make the whole world bow to them, but what was worse was they were all teenagers though only Jathhi's appearance was known to the upper echelons of society.

Now she had just offended him and by extension the most powerful organisation, Blood Moon.

"I-I'm sorry. Please d-don't kill me. I have a good talent thats why I was the leader of this raid. I'm useful." She begged him knowing that something like morals would never affect this child and she had heard of terrifying torture devices from her parents that were designed by this insane group.

"You might be useful but that depends on your talent?" Jay laughed, giving her false hopes of survival.

"Thank you, Thank you I swear I will always be loyal to Blood Moon." She started crying before showing her talent to Jay.

⤷ [Bloodline - G (growth)]

"Oh you are useful." Jay was surprised that he would find the [Time Manipulation] talent so soon and smiled evilly at her.

"Thank you, Lord." She slammed her head into the stone floor of the interrogation room with gratitude.

"But you're more useful dead." As he said this Jay froze her on the spot ending her life swiftly.

"Huh." That was the bandit's last word leaving an ice sculpture of a woman wearing a dark robe and an incredulous expression.

"Tch. It's not as good as Liam's but its good enough for a B grade talent." Jay kissed his teeth in slight annoyance.

CRASH!!

"Ah! What the …?" The sudden crash caught him off guard.
