In pitch-black darkness, a booming bang sounded, then a screech, and a soft clank. This was the sound of an opened door.
Afterward, a duo walked. The dim light revealed their faces, Alistair and Eltic. All their five senses focused intently on their surroundings so as to not be ambushed and murdered.
Eyes watched the corners of the room closely. Ears listened for any suspicious noises. Nose smelt the air, scanning for dangerous fumes.
Seeing nothing of worth, they stopped and conversed.
"Everything's safe." Eltic's voice echoed from the darkness.
"What? This place is already so dark." Alistair whispered while squinting. "So, how in the world are you seeing anything?"
"Experience," Eltic answered.
"That explains… nothing."
"Blame the ether, not me." Eltic shrugged and then raised his dagger to the sky; its red glint increased, brightening the room with scarlet light. "But how about now?"
