Rose rushed down the hallway, her heart pounding in her chest as she searched for Grace. She found her leaning against a wall, in the ladies' bathroom, her eyes wide with panic as she struggled to catch her breath. Rose ran over to her and pulled her into a tight hug, holding her close as she whispered soothing words into her ear.
"It's okay, Grace. You're safe now. I'm here for you." Rose said softly, feeling Grace's body shake against hers as she cried.
Grace buried her face in Rose's shirt, her tears soaking through the fabric as she tried to calm down. She couldn't believe that Alexis had said those things about her, and the memories of Jamie's assault came flooding back, overwhelming her with fear and shame.
Rose held her for what felt like hours, her arms wrapped tightly around Grace as she tried to calm her down. She knew Grace needed someone to be there for her right now, to show her that she wasn't alone.
