Grace woke up early, feeling a bit groggy from the medication she had been taking. She slowly got out of bed and walked over to her closet, trying to decide what to wear for her first day back at school. She had gotten discharged the previous night; she spent three days in the hospital since her injuries aren't so severe, she was kept that long because her parents decided to keep her under close supervision which was annoying. She settled on a simple outfit of jeans and a t-shirt, not wanting to draw too much attention to herself.
As she was getting dressed, she couldn't help but think about Nathaniel. He had offered to take her out on a date before she got injured, but he had disappeared without a word after that evening he came with Rose. Grace wondered if he had changed his mind about going on the said date; she feels like she can't understand him, even though he seems to go along pretty well with Rose.
