Rose sat on the small bed, relieved that nothing had actually happened to Grace. It was like a dream come true for her, because she prayed earnestly. Mrs. Palmer had also gone home to get some rest; according to Grace what had actually happened was her tripping from the stairs while she tried to go get water. Her mom heard loud thud and woke up from her sleep, but by the time she got to the scene, Grace had passed out cold already so everyone started to panic.
"So, how did the play go?" Grace asks eagerly.
Rose sighs, brushing Grace's dark hair finely, it was so soft against her fingers. "It was a disaster, Grace. An absolute disaster."
Grace's eyes widen in surprise. "Really?"
"What do you expect? Whose fault is that?" she retorted sarcastically. "Don't tell me you cancelled the show because of my absence?" Grace asks.
