The kiss was forced upon her, and Kamilia was taken aback. She gazed at Iyad with a look of disbelief and shock, as if she had just been betrayed.
The sudden and unexpected action had left her stunned and unsure of how to react.
She had not been prepared for this moment, and the expression on her face was a mixture of shock and disbelief.
Her eyes widened in surprise, as if she could not believe what was happening. It was as if time had stopped and the world around her had vanished, leaving only the two of them in this intense and uncomfortable moment.
Despite the circumstances, the touch of his lips was not entirely unpleasant. There was a hint of familiarity in it, a reminder of their shared past.
But the memories of their twisted history were too strong, and Kamilia quickly regained her composure as he pulled away from her.
With a mixture of anger and confusion, she looked up at him, silently demanding an explanation for his actions.
The air between them was charged with tension, as they both struggled to make sense of the situation.
In that moment, Kamilia was left to ponder the meaning of this forced kiss and the intentions behind it.
"You are not my sister," he repeated, his voice tinged with anger as he glared at her. The look in his eyes was one of disgust, as if just being near her was a repulsive thought.
She could feel the tears starting to well up in her eyes, but she couldn't bring herself to speak. He continued to hold her gaze for what felt like an eternity, his eyes piercing into her soul, until finally he spoke again.
"You are not family to me," he said, his words cutting through the air like a knife. Kamilia's gaze dropped to his chest, unable to meet his eyes any longer.
She felt the weight of his words crushing down upon her, as if each syllable was a blow to her heart.
She had thought that she had escaped the shackles of her past, but it seemed that it had followed her every step of the way.
Despite the pain she felt, Kamilia refused to let him see her cry. She took a deep breath, willing herself to be strong, and looked back up into his eyes.
Kamilia's heart was pounding heavily in her chest as she stood before Iyad. She had been dreading this moment for years, knowing that their paths would inevitably cross again.
She had hoped that when they finally came face to face, the emotions between them would have dissipated, but instead she found herself as vulnerable to him as she had been all those years ago.
"I…am still El-mukrani," she said softly, trying to explain to him. "Everything is still the same."
She could feel the desperation in her voice as she tried to make him understand, but he just stood there, his piercing gaze fixed on her.
"I think you were just overwhelmed by seeing me again," she continued, her voice trembling. "I'll forget that this happened. Iyad, please don't do it again." She put her hand on his chest, trying to push him away from her, but he didn't move.
It was as if he was rooted to the spot, his eyes never leaving hers. Kamilia could feel her resolve beginning to crumble, she knew that she needed to put some distance between them.
But before she could, he reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards him.
"You don't get to decide what happens between us," he said, his voice low and intense.
"You don't get to dictate my actions or my feelings. You may have run away from me, but you can never run away from what we are to each other."
Kamilia felt a shiver run down her spine as she looked up into his eyes. She could see the anger and the determination in them, but she could also see the pain.
She knew that she had hurt him deeply all those years ago, and that he was still trying to come to terms with it.
"Iyad," she whispered, tears starting to fall down her face. "Please, let me go. I can't do this anymore."
"You don't get to decide that either," he replied, his grip on her hand tightening. "You may have thought that you could escape me, but you can never escape what we have together."
"I am still your sister, Iyad," Kamilia cried out, desperation in her voice. "Nothing has changed. Please don't push me away like this."
Tears streamed down her face as she tried to make him understand. Her hand still rested on his chest, trying to hold him back from getting closer to her .
"I know that things have been complicated and difficult for us, but we are still family. Even when we don't share blood, we share a history. Can't you see that?" Her voice was filled with emotion as she pleaded with him to understand.
"I am begging you, Iyad. Don't do this. Don't turn your back on me like this " .
"Don't you think that I will be swayed by your tears?" Iyad spoke, his voice cold and unyielding. Kamilia looked up at him, the hurt evident in her eyes.
" Iyad...brother …Please don't look at me like that," Kamilia pleaded through her sobs, her voice trembling with emotion. "I know I am not your real sister, but the bond we once shared still means something to me. Can't you see that I am hurting?"
Iyad stood there, his expression unreadable, as Kamilia's tears flowed freely down her cheeks. She felt so vulnerable, so exposed, but she refused to let her pain be brushed aside.
"Iyad, I know I made a mistake. I should have never run away. But I was scared. And I was alone. I needed to protect myself,"
She called out to him, tears streaming down her face, desperately trying to reach the man she once called her brother.
But Iyad remained unyielding, his gaze piercing and cold as he looked down upon her. Kamilia's heart felt like it was breaking, shattered into a million pieces by the rejection and animosity she saw in Iyad's eyes.
Suddenly, Iyad moved away from her and said:" A mistake?! You killed my fu***ing mother "
