In the next millisecond, he pulled the trigger, causing the hammers to fall down at high speeds and slam into the gunpowder behind the bullets. The gunpowder was successfully set alight, and the bullet's shells casing instantly expanded explosively, pushing the bullets out of the barrel at tremendous speeds!
CRACK! Two massive bullets flew out like flames from the barrels of the gun!
The two bullets tore a clear fiery light through the air like a comet… then slammed the alpha vilewolf in its eye and skull with incomprehensible accuracy.
As the world slowed down, the first bullet shattered through its cornea, bored through its vitreous, severed its optic nerves, and then smashed straight into the creature's brain, reducing the brain-matter inside its skull to a pile of mush.
As for the second bullet, it directly shattered the skull of the alpha wolf, shooting out fragments of bones and and brain matter in every direction.
Osborn's back landed with a bang on the ground. Using the momentum from the fall, he rolled backwards, skidding and finally came to a halt, while the massive body of the alpha vilewolf came crashing to the ground in front of him. Its body was still twitching as what little consciousness it had left tried to will it to its feet, as though it wanted to leap up once more and tear Osborn to shreds. Alas, there was no way it could ever rise again.
This took time to describe, but in reality it happened in an instant!
The entire base was shocked as well as the Vile Wolves. In just a few seconds, they had lost their leader.
With the death of the alpha wolf, the rotting wolves went from strictly disciplined creatures back to wild beasts that relied on their natural instincts.
When there was only an hour left before dusk, the crimson moon began to lose all of its effect in them and as such, some of the vile wolves whined and fled the base with their tail tucked between their legs.
However, this was nothing more than a temporary lull. Given how brutal these Evobeasts were, some didn't retreat with the death of their alpha. But turned even more berserk, focusing their blood stained eyes on the killer.
A particular Vile Wolf with slightly muscular figure howled all of a sudden. The blood lust in the eyes of the remaining Vile wolves received a sudden spike.
But in the blink of an eye, two loud bangs that resounded like thunder overlapped with each other.
The head of the muscular wolf instantly turned to a blood mist. It's forward momentum made it stagger forwards a few meters before coming to a halt.
Dark red blood pumping out from its headless corpse, soon dying the dried sand in the wasteland in a pool of blood.
Smoke faded from Osborn's double-barrelled sniper's tip as he lowered the weapon.
He could feel his shoulder starting to ache from the large recoil he withstood. It was certain that even with his evolved physique his shoulder would dislocate if he let out another shot from those guns.
Hearing those gun shit along with the death of that another large wolf, the other wolves fled the scene in fear.
Osborn was like a death god, reaping the lives of the evobeast, no matter how far they were!
The soldiers in the post all sighed a breath of relief. Osborn's previously tense mental state also quickly relax During these six hours, the soldiers had all suffered under the torment of inevitable death. Even though their bodies were loosening up, their minds were still incredibly tense. If their way of dying could be measured in degrees of horror, then being eaten by rotting wolves would be second only to being the food of zombies.
The gunshots were crude and resounding and they carried a metallic smell only outdated firearms possessed.
Regardless of whether they were veterans or newly conscripted, the soldiers were all connoisseurs in the domain of firearms.
In their ears, these gunshots held a different meaning. For a firearm as ouddated as theirs to accurately hit a target from 500 meters away meant that it had to sacrifice everything else for range. However, Osborn was able to hit his target more than a kilometer away!
Even Blain who was also a level-2 super soldier couldn't help but be impressed. He was truly a lot stronger than he was.
The surroundings became quiet again. It was then the morning sun started ro come up, leaving the rotting wolves dry and uncomfortable. Even though their terrifying evolution rate allowed them to become stronger and craftier, their hatred and patience towards the sunlight worsened by much.
The few rotting wolves still roaming about charged at the base, but following a few thunderous gunshots, from the other level two super soldier and those rotting wolves immediately fell onto the ground without any suspense. They continuously wailed and twitched about, but they no longer had the strength to climb back up.
Osborn had a small smile on his face. Killing a level-3 beast meant that his evolution progress would increase by a lot. And with the multitude of Vile Wolf corpses around the base, he was certain he would gain at least 2 evolution points!
"Finally, I can finally undergo my third evolution, finally becoming a level-3 human." Osborn couldn't help but smile widely at the thought.
Giving out a few command to sort the corpses out, the soldiers immediately got to work.

"How bad is the damages? And how much causality are we looking at?" A feminine voice rang out within the room.
Osborn, Blain and the third level-2 Super soldier - Lana stood quietly before a particular lady seated behind a desk.
She looked slightly old, but there wasn't much wrinkle on her face. She lifted her finger to adjust her glasses, bringing it lower to stare at the three super soldiers before her.
She was the said master of this base.
Osborn valiant nature seem to become tamed before get and the other two super soldiers also didn't dare to breathe to deeply in her presence either.
