Ezekiel felt a jolt of fear shoot through him when he saw Nathan approaching. He knew he had to do something to calm himself down, so he hastily grabbed a handful of candy bars and placed them in front of him.
As Nathan drew closer, Ezekiel pressed his back against the cold, unyielding wall and held out the candy with a shaky hand.
Attempting to put on a friendly face, Ezekiel flashed a smile at Nathan.
But as soon as he saw his own reflection in the boy's terrified gaze, he realized that his attempt at a genuine expression had failed.
He had forgotten how to smile like a normal person after all that had happened in his past life. He had become a solemn, serious person who rarely showed emotion to anyone.
Nathan's eyes were drawn to the candy, but as he looked up at Ezekiel, a memory flooded back to him.
He remembered the warning his mother had given him about bad guys, and for a moment he thought that Ezekiel might be one of them. The strange, contorted smile on Ezekiel's face did nothing to alleviate his fears.
"Mooom...daaad!" The child's voice was barely above a whisper, a heart-wrenching plea for their parents. Ezekiel felt a pang of guilt and sadness wash over him as he realized the boy was his own brother.
Quickly, Ezekiel grabbed a handful of candy bars and placed them in front of the boy, hoping to distract him from his distress.
"Hey, little one, how about you have some?"
As the child's tears began to flow silently, Ezekiel's heart broke for him. He couldn't believe his own parents had done this to their own flesh and blood.
He couldn't help but wonder what they had done to make the child cry so quietly, holding his hands over his mouth as if trying to stifle his sobs.
Ezekiel's mind wandered to a dark place as he considered the possibility of his parents abusing and mistreating his brother.
He had seen how cruel and manipulative they could be, and he couldn't bear to think of his own brother suffering at their hands.
Despite his anger and sorrow, Ezekiel knew he had to keep a level head. He couldn't let his emotions get the best of him, not when his brother needed him to be strong.
As he watched the child cry silently, Ezekiel made a vow to himself: he would protect his brother at all costs, even if it meant going up against his own parents.
Ezekiel couldn't shake that weird feeling from his heart, he wanted to go as far now to kill his parents for the things that they did to Nathan .
' Of course, of course he was abused all these years, and I am sure that it was because of supremacy, those fucking bastards '
Nathan was still crying silently, so Ezekiel just said to him with a fake cheerful voice :" Here, eat some candy! "
It was the best tone of voice that he managed to get so fast .
The kid was just looking at him, very scared of him without saying anything .
" I am not going to hurt you, '' Ezekiel said as if he was begging him to stop crying .
At that moment, all that Ezekiel wanted was to force him to sleep so that he wouldn't see those painful tears coming out of his mind .
" Moom…daaaad, " The kid said in a very low voice .
He was shaking in his place, and when Ezekiel looked at him he just peed on himself .
Nathan was not wearing anything but the towel that Ezekiel covered him with, and when he felt that he peed himself he just cried so heavily while his hands were around his knees .
' Shit …fuck...fuck...what did they do to you ? What do they do to you my little angel? '
Ezekiel couldn't even look at him right now because he just thought that he was scaring him a lot for some reason .
Ezekiel just stood very fast and then said :" Your clothes are about to dry …hmmm…hey …just take my shirt …I don't mind "
Ezekiel thought that the kid was very pissed that he peed himself which is why he offered his shirt, at that moment, the kid just said while suffocating with his tears :" Home …go home "
Everything started to make sense right now, the kid suffered a lot with his parents to the point where he was peeing himself, crying silently, and he didn't talk properly like he did at his age .
Ezekiel was furious but he forced himself to not rage in front of him so that he wouldn't be very scared .
He just stayed next to the bathroom door and said :" Do you want to see something cool ?"
The kid didn't answer but Ezekiel just proceeded to the spell anyway .
With his energy, he created a blue butterfly that kept sitting next to his fingers for a few seconds, then it flew until it reached Nathan's nose .
Nathan still had tears in his eyes but he just was very surprised by what he saw, he couldn't believe that this could be created .
He kept following it with his cute little eyes as it was moving inside the room with curiosity and whenever it got closer to him he got very excited .
Nathan was still sobbing but as long as Ezekiel was not in the picture he was not going to cry heavily like he was before .
Nathan was so caught up with that shiny blue butterfly but Ezekiel was thinking about dismembering his own parents for abusing a little kid this way .
He had so many scenarios inside his head that he kept modifying with each tile a new torturing method came into his mind .
At first, he just wanted to protect Edward but now he was too angry even to think about him .
" The government will not torture them like I would , I better do my things with my own hands , they have to pay for ruining the kid "
