Chapter 19 - I could kill you so easily

Ezekiel's parents were in a state of complete bewilderment and fear as they stood before him, feeling as though they were in the presence of a monstrous creature.

The government's actions towards the population had left them deeply disturbed, and it seemed that only Ezekiel could comprehend the gravity of the situation.

His unique perspective and ability to question the status quo made him stand out from the rest of society, and this only added to his parents' confusion and fear.

They could not understand how their own son could be so different from everyone else, and they feared what that might mean for his future.

' Huh , because of the lack of knowledge I don't even know what am I capable of; however people also don't know what they are capable of, yet they fear me, they sees me as a monster, I am more like a catastrophe in their eyes, I just wonder what is the real truth ' He thought when he saw the look in his parents eyes .

Jasmine hesitated, feeling the strong urge to flee the scene and escape with her son. Even in the face of imminent danger, she couldn't bear the thought of Ezekiel taking her child and using him for their twisted agenda.

Meanwhile, Stewart stayed behind, acting as a diversion in an attempt to distract Ezekiel.

However, to their surprise, Ezekiel proved to be more cunning and calculated than they had anticipated. With a sly smirk on his face, he outsmarted them both, leaving them feeling helpless and vulnerable. Seeing the fear in his mother's eyes, he issued a stern warning, "If you take one step, I will end you."

Stewart, indignant at the threat, responded with disbelief, "How dare you speak to us in such a manner?" Undeterred, Ezekiel remained calm and collected, "I'm not joking. After all, I've even turned against the people who raised me. Don't think for a second that I won't take even greater measures against you." His words hung heavy in the air, leaving Stewart and Jasmine shaken and unsure of what to do next.

Despite her initial resistance, Jasmine knew deep down that Ezekiel's threats were not empty. Fear and dread washed over her as she implored her son, "Please, don't hurt us." But it was too late; Ezekiel had already made up his mind.

As he strode purposefully towards the room that he had once shared with Nathan, a sense of unease washed over him. It was as if some force inside him was pulling him away from that place, warning him of the danger that lay ahead.

But Ezekiel pushed these thoughts aside and kept walking, his heart heavy with sorrow and regret.

When he finally entered the room, he saw Nathan sleeping soundly in his crib. At first, all he could see was a small dark shape in the dim light, but as he drew closer, he summoned a spell of light in his palm, illuminating the room with a soft glow.

With the light at his command, Ezekiel felt a sense of power surge through him. He could control the light, intensifying it or dimming it as he pleased, and with that power came a rush of anger and frustration.

As he gazed down at his sleeping brother, he couldn't help but feel a sense of resentment towards his parents and the government that had created this world of fear and oppression.

But amidst these swirling emotions, Ezekiel also felt a deep sense of love and protectiveness towards Nathan. He knew that he had to keep his brother safe, no matter the cost. With a steely resolve, Ezekiel stood guard over Nathan, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

Then, Nathan's face appeared in front of him, it was the same as the last time he saw him back on earth 1.

Nathan kept looking at him from afar with a heavy heart , he remembered the look on his face when he drowned in the bathtub, the color of his blue skin that haunted him for years .

As Ezekiel stood there, staring at his sleeping brother, memories of the past flooded his mind. He couldn't bring himself to go near Nathan, knowing that his very presence could potentially harm him. He felt his parents' concern for him behind him, but their words fell on deaf ears as he continued to stare at his innocent little brother.

"Here I am, little brother," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I'm sorry, deeply and eternally sorry for what I did to you. Please forgive me. Even now, you're going to be hurt because of me."

But his mother's voice pulled him out of his thoughts, and he turned to face her, anger etched on his face. "You never met him, so why are you here?" she asked, fear creeping into her voice. "Do you want to kill him? Is that why you're trying to take him with you?"

Her words stung, and Ezekiel's rage boiled over. "You think you're going to survive my rage, but you won't," he spat. "My revenge is like the government you've worshiped for years - it's going to haunt you." His parents shrank back, fear taking over as they realized the full extent of their son's power and wrath.

His mother's sudden burst of courage startled Ezekiel as she pushed him from his shoulder, but he remained calm and turned around with an icy expression. Without a word, he walked towards Nathan's bed and extended his arms to lift his little brother. As he did, his mother's crying turned into screams that echoed in the room, and even his father tried to calm her down.

Ezekiel felt a surge of overwhelming emotion as he held his brother, gazing at him for a few moments before turning to leave. But his father stood in his way, shouting that he couldn't take Nathan.

In response, Ezekiel warned him, "I could kill you so easily right now, but I won't. The government will do that for me. It will be a satisfying end for you both. However, if you somehow survive with a miracle, I will come for you and end you myself."

With those words, Ezekiel left the room with Nathan in his arms, his parents left behind in shock and fear.

Despite the eerie silence, Nathan suddenly stirred and woke up from his slumber, rubbing his little eyes with his fists. He looked around, confused and disoriented until his eyes landed on his parents. However, instead of feeling comforted, he started crying even louder and hitting Ezekiel with his fists. It wasn't because he was afraid of his older brother, but rather because he was afraid of his parents' reaction.

"Mama, Papa, " Nathan said .

Ezekiel tried to calm Nathan down, whispering softly to him to stop crying, but his little brother's wailing continued. It was clear that Nathan was in distress, and Ezekiel didn't know how to comfort him. He felt a twinge of guilt for taking him away from his parents, but he knew that it was for his own good.

As they walked out of the house, Ezekiel's thoughts were racing. He couldn't believe that his parents didn't even try to stop him or fight back. It was as if they had given up, and that made him feel uneasy. He wondered if they had something up their sleeves or if they were simply defeated.

Meanwhile, Nathan continued to cry as they walked away, and Ezekiel held him tightly, hoping to ease his fears. He didn't know what lay ahead, but he knew that he would protect Nathan no matter what.
