THE NEXT DAY
After thinking about the war situation severally, Han Jisung was at a lost on what to do, he had previously sent messengers to Min nation to ask for a truce but they never came back, indicating the Min nation set mind on going for war.
Although Chi nation was a powerful nation on it's own, it was still the best decision to avoid war at every means possible, because the aftermath would cause the state to decline in both human resources and agriculture resources.
Han Jisung paced about thinking of what to do, he might be a leader that cares about his pride more than anything else but Han Jisung still loved his country with all his heart and would do anything to protect it.
While Han Jisung paced about Song Minhyun entered into his chambers unannounced.
"My lord." Song Minhyun greeted courteously.
Han Jisung frowned on seeing her and turned to look at his steward who stood behind Song Minhyun inquisitively.
The steward seeing the question in his eyes bowed and answered, "Her Royal highness asked me not to announce her presence." The steward explained.
Han Jisung sighed as he knew it was just the steward obeying a superior instruction, "You are dismissed." Han Jisung ordered thinking of how to deal with the problem that came to him now.
"What do you want?" Han Jisung asked after the steward left, with a tinge of tiredness in his voice.
"Your Majesty, I heard about the current situation that the country is facing and have a suggestion that can help us." Song Minhyun said boldly acting like it wasn't her that was mistreated the previous day by Han Jisung.
Han Jisung secretly rolled his eyes, she was always having a suggestion for something, couldn't the woman just figure out that he would never love her and let it rest.
"But before I go on, I would like to thank his Majesty for the rose you sent to me yesterday, I had asked the maid to plant them in my garden already." Song Minhyun blushed, her cheeks turning red as she bowed her head.
Han Jisung narrowed his eyes, wondering when he had sent her a rose flower, then the picture of his son to mind. Han jiwoo was desperately trying to save his parents marriage, Han Jisung thought.
Han Jisung decided not to say anything as he doesn't want Song Minhyun to start with her episodes again, but that doesn't mean Han Jisung would pursue the matter with Han jiwoo, he had to let him know that some things cannot be forced or imposed upon.
"What is your suggestion?" Han Jisung asked trying to divert the topic.
"Oh right, my suggestion." Song Minhyun exclaimed shyly as she had been carried away staring at Han Jisung slowly aging face.
Han Jisung might be an old man but it had never shown on his face, you could hardly spot a wrinkle on his face.
Han Jisung white hair that filled his head could even be mistaken for a dye of some sort as his face still looked young and fresh.
Han Jisung had a very pointed jaw and nose that he always raised up high to signify his status, his hair held by the crown flowing backwards along his robes.
Han Jisung robes were beautifully sewn by the best seamstress in town.
As every thing he did carry dignity making Song Minhyun remember the first time she had met Han Jisung, he doesn't seemed to have aged a day since then, his elegance and eloquence was still as his younger years, indeed he was a true blue blood.
"Woman, you are zoning off again." Han Jisung finally snapped at the woman who had been staring at him without saying a word, which was creeping him out, maybe he should just see her off it would be better, Han Jisung suddenly had the thought when Song Minhyun talked.
"I was thinking, since the Min nation are proving unyielding to a truce, we should use our trump card, the alliance card." Song Minhyun said mysteriously.
Han Jisung frowned not quite understanding what Song Minhyun was saying or has she lost it again, he thought.
Han Jisung was about calling in a maid to escort Song Minhyun back to her room, but just then Song Minhyun talked.
"We can call in the Qi nation for help, am sure my brother Song Yuan would be willing to help his sister." Song Minhyun said proudly happy that she was finally of use to Han Jisung.
Han Jisung went into deep thought as he heard her words, it was true that Song Yuan would be willing to help them but Han Jisung had heard the rumors of how he got the throne at the age of 12 and Han Jisung had not even interacted with him after marrying Song Minhyun because he had never treated Song Minhyun as a wife so there was no need to interact with her relatives.
Song Minhyun happily stared at Han Jisung as he was in deep thought, expecting a word of praise from him, her expression was similar to that of Han jiwoo when she wanted to go tell Song Minhyun about her plan against Bogsu.
The similarity in their expression only had one thing in common, the yearn for love.
"Okay, thank you for the suggestion, I would talk to the ministers about it, you may leave now." Han Jisung said dismissively needing time alone to think about the whole thing before presenting it to the ministers.
Song Minhyun left Han Jisung place happily almost skipping with joy but held it in because she didn't want the maids to make jest of her.
Song Minhyun went to her chambers and dragged the chair that stood in front of the mirror backwards before having her seat, she slowly undid her hair pins and dropped them on the vanity table.
Song Minhyun brushed her staring at the mirror in a daze, she had to get the information of the machineries she used twenty years ago to execute the plan of killing Bogsu and also request her brother's assistance in the war.
