Shijie arrived at the outer courtyard of his residential pavilion where Fan Weijin stood calmly, sharpening his sword while waiting for Shijie to arrive from his horse riding routine.
The outer courtyard was an empty one with not much care done to it. Originally, it was just an old courtyard before the pavilion was constructed for Shijie's use. Since it was a nice open space, it was used for Shijie's swordsmanship and martial arts training.
Upon arriving, Old Huo, who had escorted Shijie, bowed and said humbly, "Young Master, allow me to take my leave. Please get refreshed after your training and come for breakfast."
"Sure," Shijie responded casually and entered the courtyard, going straight to where Fan Weijin was.
Seeing Shijie approach, Fan Weijin placed down his sword and stood up as he said, "You're late."
Shijie scratches his head in embarrassment and answered, "Well, something happened along the way. I apologize. Should we begin?"
