Chapter 47 - Artifact

The preparations were made and the cavalry as well as a large portion of the household knights stood solemnly in the open field outside the walls of the city of Jinli. 

The horses neighed and snorted as they lifted their legs, flexing their muscles in the excitement of a long run that was going to begin shortly. 

The knights and the cavalrymen wearing iron armor, helmets, and armed with swords looked at the man in front of them on a particularly bulky, proud horse. The man was, of course, Li Junwei, who gazed at Shijie standing at the gate. 

At this moment, Fan Weijin approached while sitting on his horse and said, "My Lord, it's time."

Li Junwei then looked into Shijie's eyes and nodded softly as a sign of farewell and pulled the reins of his horse as he turned around, walking his horse from the middle of the cavalry and taking the lead.
