After the martial arts training, Shijie returned to his residence where he saw Ruyan tidying the room with the other servants.
As she saw Shijie walk in, Ruyan immediately stood up and faced him as she said, "Master, welcome back."
Shijie sat down on the cushioned mattress in front of the balcony, where the study desk was placed. He rested his right hand on the handrest and let his left hand rest on his left knee, which was folded. His right leg stretched forward while his left leg was bent. He appeared nonchalant as he nodded as if he was not bothered by anything.
Ruyan smiled and shot a glance to the nearby maid who then quickly presented a bowl of warm water and a white clean towel to Ruyan.
