"Seems like your mother wants you." He walks in the direction of the call.
"I don't want." I try to wiggle out of his arms.
"Be still Lyria. You know we must obey your mother." I know he's not happy either, but he doesn't have much of a choice, which means I really don't have a choice.
I stop struggling and pout. We arrive at the hut soon. When we walk in dad puts me down, then walks over to mom who is leaning against a jaguar beast man. He gets on his knees and kisses her feet. "I've brought Lyria, my dear." He kisses her feet again. She puts her hand out and dad takes it helping her up. She looks him up and down.
"Mmm, it's been a while since I've had you. After we're done here meet me in my room and ravish me." She purrs while running her hand down his chest to his baby maker part. I look down, disgusted by her behavior.
"The child my dear," Dad says trying to make mom look at me.
She then looks down at me but doesn't move away from dad, instead, she starts to stoke dad while she begins to talk. "When you were born the priest was there to help me out and in return, I was asked to let you work for the priest when you got your beast form. Since you did not, a servant came by yesterday to tell me you are still to go to the temple. The head priest will explain everything. Now head there by yourself I'm busy." She says the last part kind of harshly. She then looks back at dad, jumps up, and starts kissing him.
I don't stay any longer and leave that disgusting place. I can't stand that woman. Anyways, since it's the head priest that wants me, I head in that direction.
Everyone knows where the temple is located. Dad has shown me multiple times too. There's a trail that leads halfway up the mountain. Then you go through a hidden passage in the cave for a little while before coming to an opening.
There are always guards there protecting the entrance. Past them are steps that lead to the temple. From here I can see the Ancestral tree peaking out from behind the stone walls of the temple. The temple is made of stone and wraps around the tree in a semi-circle structure. It's truly a breathtaking view.
"Hello little Lyria, what are you doing here? Where's your dad?" The guard on the left said.
"No, mom sent me here saying the head priest wanted to see me." I try speaking in my strongest voice. I did walk here all by myself.
When I finish speaking a male in fancy furs stands at the top of the stairs. "Come quickly Lyria the head priest is waiting for you." He then turns around and walks off.
That was rude. I thought to myself. I ran behind the fancy male after waving goodbye to the guards. Truth is, I've never been further than the steps. I was very curious about what the temple looked like. The steps were larger than I thought, and it took me a little longer to get to the top with my short legs. No one was there to help carry me up after all. Once I was at the entrance of the temple, it wasn't as great as I thought. It's just a rock house. A really big rock house. Taking a closer look, the walls are smooth to the touch with some patterns etched into them.
I look back up to follow the fancy male, only to see multiple males in fancy clothes. I look around and start walking in. The priests don't even see me as they're walking past. I dodge around them trying not to bump into anyone. I don't know where I'm going, and end up in front of another smaller hallway. I can smell the scent of trees coming from there. I walk in that direction hoping it's the way out. I don't hear anyone and there's not a lot of lighting in this hallway either, but the smell is getting stronger the further I walk in. Not long in, I feel a slight breeze and it's slowly starting to get brighter the more I walk. I take off running confident that this is the right way out. Instead of coming out to the stairs, there was a massive tree standing proudly in front of Lyria. Her eyes widened in amazement. She stood there staring, frozen, unable to process anything but what was right in front of her.
