After a long, tireless fight Tomioka Giyuu bowed to a woman, apologising for the convenience that had occurred a moment beforehand, the demon had taken hold of her and used her as a hostage, Giyuu had to pause for a minute when that happened. He had never encountered a demon who wasn't one of the twelve moons to be as smart as that before. Maybe this demon was in line up to be a new lower moon.
"No, thank you sir, you saved not only my life but everyone's who lives in this village." This job wasn't even a mission. He was on his way back from one and had noticed that this village was in danger, he could've kept going but the thought of someone ending up like himself and his younger sister made him take a small decor.
Tomioka, the water hashira flushed in embarrassment, he wasn't good with people or taking compliments- if this could even be considered a compliment. "Are you hurt anywhere?" The embarrassed flush that had rested on his cheeks was now gone and he was back to being stone-faced, his sister hiding in a tree above and smiling down at the scene.
The girl was lying on the branch lazily, one leg resting along the branch, a hand holding her head up with the other hand and leg were hanging off. She would've looked like the Cheshire cat if she had the features of a cat instead of that of a siren.
"I'm not, thank you for saving the village and me." The girl's cheeks were flushed a soft pink, she didn't look embarrassed so Shi and Giyuu had no idea why the blush was there. "Can I repay you with something?"
Tomioka Giyuu blinked and shook his head "Ah- no. No thank you, I need to get back to my younger sister." The man slowly backed away from the woman, you could barely notice him moving.
However what you could notice was a man running over, a large, empty glass bottle in his hand, raising it up so he could hit the water pillar over the head. "Giyuu-" by the time her words spewed out of her mouth the bottle had already connected to her brother's head, shards of glass sticking into his skin and smothering his hair. The pillar collapsed due to the unexpected blow, a small whine of pain forcefully escaping his lips.
That sound set Shi off, she jumped down from a tree, which was near them but not close enough to see the girl jumping down "Big brother?" she called out, hiding her rage behind a sweet, innocent voice which she used nowadays to lead hungry demons to their doom. "Big brother?" she called out again, walking into the light of the town square. All eyes were on her.
The long black hair which was out and flowing down her back, the bright, deep blue siren eyes and the full lips which kept calling out 'big brother'. They all watched her reaction to seeing the injured Tomioka, the blood seeping down his skin and into his uniform, his haori however was untouched, undamaged.
The rage that quickly filled the girls eyes made them all freeze, a gasp sounding by the girl in front of Shi's elder brother, Shi's eyes slowly turned purple. The roots of her hair turning red and slowly creeping down and smothering the black in a colour that looked like blood, her skin became as white as snow and her nails became claws. Her fangs were on display as she gently picked her brother up.
He had been knocked out.
The youngest Tomioka set her elder brother down and growled, turning to face the man that had harmed her brother, she had no need for human flesh however she did have a need to see this man's blood paint these stones red. Shi leaped, tackling the man in a second, ripping open the skin on his arms and face as she did so, laughing at the sight of the blood pooling out of the wounds.
She continued to pull this man's skin and flesh off his body, getting full arm, leg and part of his stomach done before she was pulled away, her rage quickly calmed down as she caught her brother who had passed out, once again. Now calm she got her brother onto her back and happily started to walk to the house with the wisteria crest on it which her brother had shown her a few times before.
She liked to call it the flower manor but she had a feeling that wasn't its actual name. "You'll be better in no time ani!"
However on the way there, Shi had to fight and kill multiple demons, stopping her for minutes at a time, they arrived at the house just as the sun was about to breach the harision, the elderly lady that lived there yanked her inside and closed the door, taking the girl to a dark room so she and her brother could be together while Giyuu was treated.
Giyuu woke up with a wight in his side, holding him down, opening his eyes, he found himself in a pitch black room which only made him smile and close his eyes again, the wight was only Shi, his beloved younger sister who has anger issues.
