"Lady Tomioka, can you tell us about your encounter with Muzan when you were little?" a few of the water Kakushi asked, they wanted to get to know Lady Tomioka Shi more, who wouldn't want to know more about a demon that eats its own kin instead of humans?
"I believe it was when I was four, that I encountered Kibutsuji Muzan.." her voice was soft, gently stoking the head of one of the children that had joined the water estates Kakushi members, she had only allowed it due to her weak spot with children. "I was walking through the forest on mount Sagiri.." and so, the story began.

Tomioka Shi, at the age of four was running around what seemed to be a winter wonderland while her elder brother and their two best friends trained to become demonslayers, Shi never thought about it and thought they were just playing atop the mountain which she was unable to get to with her tiny legs.
Having grown up on this mountain she only knew the nice side of people, not the bad.
The black-haired girl giggled and face planted into the snow, a bright smile on her face.

A laugh sounded from besides Shi, causing her to stop the story "you face planted into the snow?" a smile formed on the demon's face, glad they found the story interesting.
"I was young, small and energetic, of course I fell face first into the snow and laughed like a crazy person after it." she shook her head "May I continue the story now?"
"Yes, sorry, My Lady!"

Once the girl had gotten back up she ran down the mountain at full speed, not watching were she was going and ending up running through bushes, having to jump over rocks and roots but she made sure not to crash into a tree.
A laugh escaped her mouth once she was finally back by the house she had grown to call home, it wasn't large but it was still her home and it made her happy. Life on Mount Sagiri was lovely, even with her brother; Giyuu, Sabito and Mamoko having to do demon slayer training all day everyday.
With a smile the girl ran towards another part of the forest, it was near the waterfall her brother would be forced thrown into every few hours, sadly since it's winter they can't really do that.
However instead of bumping into her brother, Sabito, Urokodaki or Mamioko she was met with a tall man with pale skin, red eyes and black hair, his pupils were cat-like. Shi would never forget the face he made when he looked at her, a face of pure hatred and disgust.
"Hi sir! You're very pretty!"
The words had left the child's mouth, children don't think before they talk and she had never been told not to talk to anyone new on the mountain, after all they never got guests.
The man's face twisted with a look Shi couldn't even start to describe in the present day. "How dare you."
The girl froze, before she could even process what had happened she was on the ground in pain, feeling like all the blood in her body was being set on fire.

"How dare he do that to a child!?"
"You were just trying to compliment him.."
Shi smiled, "children do not think before they act.." she said it as softly as she could, her elder brother had come in while she had told the story.
"The worst part about it was I wasn't there to comfort her when she needed help with the pain." Giyuu Tomioka, Shi Tomioka's elder brother who wishes for nothing more than to take care of his sister, Tanjiro and Nezuko.
