Alicorn King CYOA
Hmm, well, well, well....looks like someone got lucky. I really don't know how you did it. I hid that crown ages ago. Were you an explorer in your realm? A collector? Just get it in the will from a crazy grandma? Doesn't really matter, I suppose, and it's more amusing in my head. What does matter is that it worked for you. So, long story short: That gaudy little crown of yours? It's a magical artifact. Well, technically it's a paper weight now, but still. Its purpose was to turn someone worthy into the King of the Alicorns. Hence why you're now a winged, horned horse. They prefer pony though. What's an Alicorn? Oh, right, that's not a common word across the multiverse. They're immortal, perfect-formed ponies who have reached the highest state of their existence, some way or another. Basically, a god. Which makes you King of the Gods. Pony Gods at least, but most others won't buck with you either. Yes, I said buck. You'll get used to it. Or you can swear as much as your kingly self desires. Actually, please do: more amusing for me. And don't ask why you. Even I, the God of Chaos, don't know. Don't worry, I'm friendly. Now. Ish. Moving on! Where was I? Ah, yes, King of the Gods. Or Goddesses really. You're the only male/ Alicorn to date. Can't wait to see their reactions to you! Now, of course, this comes with the right to rule over all of ponykind, including the other Alicorns. You can take that however you want: try and build a utopia in your image, lead ponies to war for control of the world, or just let the Alicorns run things as is. However, that said, there are some...options you need to decide right about now: which is why I'm here. You're going to be the biggest change in history, so I want to help you move things along so I can watch the dominos fall. First things first, I'll give you some physical choices. Unfortunately, the base form of Alicorns is locked in stone, which is a real shame...but I can give you some alterations to it to help make you more iconic. Pick...oh, I don't know, how's about 3 of the following? Extra Horn Ah, this is a fun one, making you into a Bicorn-Alicorn. Since horns are what controls arcane abilities for ponies, you'll be a much stronger mage. Prepare for a lot of jokes referencing your third horn. You can take this a third time to become a Tricorn, which would make manioulating magic as easy as breathing. Extra Wings Not much to say. Other than you become a sky god. HAHA! Not even joking, you'll fly with ease and unnatural grace, and the sky heeds your command all the easier. With time, or a LOT of rage, you'll be summoning Hurricanes at the drop of a hat. You could also get rid of a hurricane too, for the record. As a bonus, if you picked bat-pony wings, you can choose if these are all bat-pony or mixed. Mixing is more cosmetic than anything. Extra Hooves Bat Wings I'm sure you are curious about these after the Extra Wings explanation: A small subset of pegasi have leathery bat wings instead of feathered wings. They're a vastly under acknowledged group, many tribes never feeling really at home in Equestria. So picking this would definitely give you their support, as well as the abilities to fly in complete silence, see in the dark, change between normal and nocturnal sleeping hours, and grow fangs intended to drink juice from fruits. Plus, they look so much cooler. Only one extra pair, Sleipnir would sue us if we went for eight hooves. While it'll be a bit tricky to get use to them, having six legs has advantages speed, strength, agility, and etc. It also makes you more inclined to Earth Pony Magic: a largely unexplored field, earth ponies are potentially able to control certain elements: dirt, metal, plants, even lava. They could bend the other elements as well, but the more related to earth it is, the easier. You, on the other five hooves, would have the potential to master all the elements. Try not to get stuck in ice. Gills Ironically, breathing underwater is the least Important ability these come with: they also allow you to take on a seapony form, know if any liquid is poisonous or otherwise unsafe to. drink, and run on water. Run, not walk, you'll start to sink if you slow down too much. Your max speed doesn't matter, just as long as you're putting effort into it. Oh, and they give you a better sense of things moving around you. Reptilian Tail It could be considered either a dragon or lizard tail, or both. Don't worry, it's a bit more thin and elegant than my own. But it will be extremely prehensile and with a lot of practice, you can channel magic into it to effectively work as an additional, more flexible horn. And it's great for balance and all that. You also get to pick two of the four following perks: Heat Resistant enough to swim in lava, hardened scales, enhanced strength in the tail muscles, or regrow limbs within a week to a month. You may pick the regeneration twice to make it within a day to a week.
Titan Strength Changeling Chiton Changelings are TECHNICALLY another subspecies of ponies. Unlike bat-ponies, they're not recogni- zed as such, deemed an entirely different species that need to drain love. Many have "evolved" past this, but plenty of the old guard remain. Your Chiton will resemble the old changelings and will be completely retractable, forming an armored line on your back. When it covers your body, it works like armor against both magical and physical attacks. They also grant you shapeshifting abilities. So while advantageous, some common ponies might be convinced you're just a changeling See, as the first male Alicorn, you're already going to be physically stronger than your fellow Alicorns-Which is saying a lot, Celestia and Luna can arm wrestle the average dragon if they put their all into it. But this turns it up to 14. You'll be able to lift entire mountains on your back without trouble and you'll be almost impossible to knock down. Don't worry, earth ponies are really good at controlling their own strength so you're very unlikely to hurt somepony unintentionally. controlling the Alicorns. You'll look badass though Horn of Apeiron Hooves of the Windigo This is less sinister than a pony would expect Unlike their namesake, you don't feed on disharmony and conflict, but you are able to sense them to some degree. More importantly, your hooves gain a few minor abilities: walking on water, making flying and even walking on air easier, and the ability to generate and manipulate cold and snow. This could go from cooling your favorite drink to creating a blizzard if you learn pegasi weather manipulation. The only cosmetic change is your hooves glow a soft blue and always generate a bit of mist about them. This treads into my territory, a bit. This horn allows you to learn the "rules" of reality and figure out how to rewrite them. Lucky for you, these changes are much harder for others to undo without your consent. This means you can alter reality, but don't get too excited. It's much more subtle at first and takes a long time to figure all the finer details and limits. Granted, this will make all other fields of magic that much easier to master, and bending the rules and limitations of your magic will come naturally in a fight. Elemental Mane Chimeraism Okay, this I should advise against taking. This is I say elemental, but your mane and tail basically a gamble option, changing each of your can take on the properties of just limbs randomly. Ponies will have hard time about anything- fire, water, clouds, believing you're even a pony, let alone an Alicorn. seaweed, sky, lava, death, etc. This will Trust me, not everyone can pull off this look as naturally make you more inclined to good as met Granted, you could get some very whatever you picked, so pick carefully. fantastic things, but you can also get lame ones as well. The Alicorns will still recognize you as one of their own, but they might think we're related. My, my, what lovely choices. I can't wait for the princesses to get a look at you. But before we worry about them, you have a bigger issue to deal with: Powers! After all, I'm not just gonna let you into this world without juicing you up a bit. You get about, eh, let's say? powers to pick from the following list. However, remember that some cost more, either on its own or if you already picked an opposite or otherwise conflicting power. Getting powers in a similar vein will cause a bit of synergy, but getting opposites covers more weakness. Also, as a heads up, you have to designate one of your selected powers as your main affinity. This will be stronger than the rest by far and will be the power most iconic to you. If you have an Elemental Mane, you get your affinity for free, but it will be heavily tied te and affected by your emotions. You may negate this by NOT taking it for free. Oh, and one more thing: Doubling the cost due to opposing powers means only ONE is doubled for a total of 1 for both, not 4. But you can take more Affinities by giving up an extra powers for each one. Necromancy Haising the dead, sample enough. Not true resurrection mind you, merely reanimating corpses: ghosts, shalotem, ambies, ghoul, tc. You can only summon a slozen or so a time. taken as your Affinity, you can fur the living and dood into vampires fiches, and other greater indead, raising we to three dozen lester undead at a day. Note: Using the Orb on a dead will bring them back as an Necromantic Alicorn based on the type of undead, und using it un a Greater Undead will result is tih Allcom Vampire Alarms, etc. Please don't make them sparkle, Twilight's already a reference Costs double if you have Biomaccy. Necromancy's long lost brother. This is where evolution and intelligent design meet allowing you to manipulate a living creature's body and genetics to your desire. These will he temporary or permanent at your will, but the stranger things get, the harder it will be and the longer it takes. Does not do actual heating, but you can make a creature to poison or some such effect. If taken as your Affinity, you can make chimera and Frankenstein-esque creatures with relative ease, but it is still time consuming. Wang Creations can and often will have sentience or even sapience, so there is a risk of them turning on you, but they are largely loyal Costs docble if you fave Necromancy. Clas My field of experthel Sorry to say, you won't get powers like me. You just cause things that CAN happen. TO happen. Like a cart wheel coming loose or someone dropping their money bag, etc. You will eventually be able to find a hube Goldberg in any situation needed. knowing the right person to trip or all to knock over for a strange, wacky, coincidental domino effect that was have your desired result. If taken as your Affinity, you be able to do this on a massive political scale, start a social evolution or a World War, Just be careful with the fallout Costs double if ym have the misfortune of having Order Gag, this party pooper, Still, I should advertise it. As a creature of chaos, it's hard for me to epiain though Bnically, this helps you "Tee" where things and individuals will work best for things to run smoothly. As an Affinity, this will help run your nation, allowing you to pick up on financial misspending, discontent subjects, lacking of military, corrupt officials, and other problems. Things that are "out of order. You won't always know the exact instantly, hart you'll know where to start looking Helpful long term, but keep in mind, this thing has oor thing in common with chaos: it doesn't sway towards any one morality, so it will make you an effective Dark Lord if you go down the path Costs double if you have the pleasure of having Chapt War THIS is long overdun for this world, especially the ponies. Don't get ine wrong, I'm not much of a killer, but they have heen getting their Blanks kicked in combat for too long. This will change with you, making you competent in all forms of combat and at finding a weak point in your enemies. You'd be able to take on entire armies without magic eventually, Mr. Alicors "John Wayne King. As an Affinity, you'll becoose a god of strategy and tactics, your mastery of warfare becoming a magic onto itself. Costs double if you have Peace This is more of the same for ponies, and I swear Celestia has it as a secondary affinity somehow You get incredible diplomacy and negotiation skills. Tounds lame, but you'd be amazed what come will happily sell their soul for. Whereas Order keeps things running Peace priorities happiness, finding compromise that all parties can he content with. This really helps with the benevolent angle and keep infighting to a minima, As an Affinity, it works in a more specific and personal level allows you to help others at peace with themselves, I know, ke therapy, but this san put them at peace with, well, just about any concept. Helps in spread- ng your ideals and changes among the ponies. Na ne ever said Peace was an A-Gand thing Costs ble if you have War Farth Rocks, bounders, etc. All leath your hooves is yours to command. You can throw around rocks, dig through dirt or sock with relative ease, and are instinctually aware of Both caves and activity below you, and briw far you are from the surface if underground. you have Extra hooves or take this as your Affinity, you'll be able to toss boulders and make earth-sages. Take both? You're basically a walking natural wonder/disaster earthquakes, rockslides, raising a land bridge out of the sea, etc. You can eventually do all this anyway with this power, but some perks make leaming it easier Less dangerous than you might think, as you can instinctually will flames to NOT un anything else, causing them to burn out ven if there's still fuel, but this is harder the bigger the fire. Your ames will only get out of centret if you're unconscious, in severe pain, or enraged. This si and doesn't have much of a scope of contrast is the others, really, as fire always attempts to make more fire. You can set share at a given Unie, yes, and spread faster whatever direction you desire, But you'll need more training in fine control if you want to say downtown arul leave the people mstly unharmed. Alu, YES, you are feeproof-except against magic fire and dragon fee, but those hurt more from the power than actual burn. As an Affinity, you gain better and over normals, and can summon Blue Fire and White Fire, Blue is about as hard to control as normal fire without this affinity, but whine Fire is ALWAYS harder to handle Water Complete opposite of fire, you actually a lot of control to do anything with th recommend the Horn of Apeiron or Extra-Hom. See, we follows your will and dirt tries to stick together, Water just wants to fall apart on you all the time. For example, if you made a water Figure of a Pegasus, you're likely to lose the wings or one of the legs trying to keep it all together. That said, splash and wave attacks and fairly way to learn. It's just anything more sold will not want to stick for long. While this foesn't give you bemomancy, you CAN use this to slow down a wound's bleeding. I'm not one for clichés, but those with water affinities do aften lave a knack for healing. In other news, as an Affinity, you can walk on water and can split the seas with great strain, but this is because you're not controlling the water south as repeling it. By defait, you naturally have more contred over this than the other three due to being an Alicorn With this, you won't need to fly or walk on doods-you bead to air walk. In terms of greater abilities, well, you can summes a small twister, full out tomado if you took the extra wings Hurricanes come later, or with great rage. Eliminating and forming storms will be an increasingly easy task for you, even if you do it manually. Ponually? You get the meaning You're abo guaranteed to be able to fly fast enough to so your version of a Son Rainboom. If you have this as your Affinity, Double and Triple Booms are well within your expectations as well, along with continental weather control.
Lightning You'd think this was included with the storm powers of the Air element, but very much eet. At an Aust, you can naturally be lightning from striking area but th allows to you actually control it and smite whoever or whatever eams your wrath. It sho allows you to gain a momentary, but tiring boost in speed. As an Affinity, you can control an entire thunderstorm's worth, or put on a very impressive Rightshow, un top of being able to turn into lightning While offensive in nature, the form is mostly useful for extremely high speed travel from cloud to cloud, conductor to conductor, or both. On aho co bed mane again Cm sure you're wondering, why does this get counted into water? Because one's and the other is a solid Okiny, not really, but the principle remain while enlated, as far lementals and magic are concerned, ice and water are two very different but related things. Like the Pie sisters you'll understand when you meet then. Still, this one is actually very sungle and straightforward: Control ice and snow, making you a Showball God, and freeze ever anything up to a sea lake. You can be instantly re hypothermia prisingly. An ke Affinity can be summarized the thes: it can create or dispel anything up to the scale of the fearen North. You can't dispel THAT only because it's not normal that storm is eternally remaking itself all the rim, Very tricky to und Sound Bet you're surprised by this soe. This is a low the element in most cases, but think Harmony has a bit of it. This will allow you to control any and all soodveres around you. While this might sound unimpressive, the right frequency could noch any creature out, or worse, that it she gives you the interesting advantage of never ending to chout: All sounds voices include, carry as far as you desire without distortion, Two penso have a conversation a mile apart as if they were talking from other sides of the room. This also makes you musically gifted, instrumentally or vocally. As an Affinity, this allows you to travel at the speed of sounds, but that is your eternal limit in your speed. Advantage? You become sigh unstoppable at that speed, able to run through any metal or obstade Metal No, this won't give you a Talent for any form of music pt maybe the drums. Anyway this gives you a rack for Macamithing and architecture, along with a talent for discreting and treating www.even mystical metal with varying success. It will take a lot of trial and error to figure out at only how to make something new, but to make it consistently b and it makes you a metal detector: Fm not joking, An Affinity for this won't just make you Badamithing God, but will give you the knowledge to teach many of your arts to other, once you've mastered them. Also makes you a brillant boiler, especially at fortresses and Plants You know, Nature and me never really had any problems, believe it or not. Anyway, this one is actuably special as just having it wit allow you to speak to the Timberwolves, along with all the other plant-based lifeforms hiding the in the Everfree. Yes, free unies are a thing, int cart speak the same tongue as most creatures. This will also give you the power to accelerate the growth and healing of all plants by a factor of ten Plant Affinity comes with a few perkoc Grow anything from a tree in an instant to another Everfres in month bestow Pony-speak to any Plant form, and you sho can feast on sight a plant- am making dirty jokes to Celestia if you take that NOT that up Magma This is extreme niche in my opinion, but besides the given immunity to extreme heats, this can allow you to stave off volcanic eruptions for a day or two, drink magma as an alternative to water, and-for some reasoo makes you great at pottery sculpting. You can alto melt anything that it indestructible, so be a little careful with this. A Magma affinity, however, is more storesting, abuwing you to create new islands. The foundations will take a day or more, depending on sis, and much hinges if you put mountains and unique detalls is it. Ab allows you to sculpt entire mountains and canyo sculpt, not create. Think of this as the surgical kode to Earth Affinity being a chama. Okay, I imagine your world had some other defections, but here the difference betwee Gents and Crystals is simple: Crystals have magical properties. The Crystal Empire was actualy founded by sowerful Crystalmancers. Not only can you create them like a certa would be King, you can also craft them to do a member of things: Store magic energy enchant or whance common items, use them as reconting devices, or en magic restraints. Be warned thoogh different types of crystals have different capabilities and durability-both in teem of damage and reusability. An Affinity for this will allow you to build armor and weapons out of crystals, and conceivably more cities like the Crystal Empire, but wees modest building will take you w Light This is going to bother Celestia's or Luma's domain. As a normal power, this gives you a range of abilities how levels, stunning/landing bursts of light, tone down or enhance any light source, and gives you perfect and long range eyesight. Itatus lets you walk on light, at this is a lot trickier than walking think surfing. As an affinity, this allows you to see through my light source a mule radius, summon the Aurora Bore cure hindest, and have nigh-instant reflexes. You can abse travel at the speed of light, but while you will be indestructible in travel, you will be stopped by any obstacle-unless its reflective, then you just bounce off it and keep going Darknes Far less evil than you might think, but can be very scary in effect. Darkness allows you to nat. only sew in darkness, but also trivel at extreme spends through any space lacking Right You can also use your magic to block and extinguish mest light sources. It is also amazingly good for defeme, comparable even to Shining Armor's magic. A Dark Affinity upgrades: or rathur, replaces your speed in darknees, instead allowing you to actually use darknesta aportal, appearing anywhere nearty also in darkness. You can also cause a local eclipe enhance this which has the added bonus of alerting the Alcons sisters. On also allows you Shadows Surprised? Shadows and Darkness get lumped together too much, one being Mamed for the other, While similar, they are vastly different: You can't travel through shadows, but you can hide them becoming impoule to see anus atved, and you are entirely allent when you by or walk Shadow Affinity expands on this speeemably Your can hide upwards of a hundred poolest or the equivalent mass) in shadows and when you concentrate, you don't seem to exist to other no smell, no sound, no small, cutting. This very off-putting if you're not trading in shadows. This also has the interesting side benefit of a selective photo graphic memory: rather than remembering everything, you simply have an internal map in your head of everywhere you have ever been Some call this pate, but i fad this more fitting. Yer, Void dues give you per pa magic, but it's mostly from drawing on the Void. As a regular power, this gives you some u Twilight's lower level trucks: Teleporting or "atekinetically moving objects honestly, it's t covering things in vold magic, negating gravity to let you to move it about. This also gives your form of echolocation out iterally, but you can "Tee" your surroundings and the layout of building you're inside. As an Affinity, you get to pull off Twilight's main trick Spam Teleporting but you can see it to the poost of being able to teleport as the country. Alco mast esitation or whatever ponies are calling it now. More importantly, you can actually vet up loog fer, even permanent portals between focations, but these will take am maintenance thankfully, wiccan teach others how to maintain them for you. This las similar applications as Void. You can use time for ten seconds, or slow it for to you) four minutes at half speed- or half the speed farther by having the time limit. You have to wait another ten minutes once the four minutes is used up. Relativity can be tumed aff oe on, but once you switch it, you need to want twenty fer hours to do so again. Now, you'd think a Time Affinity allows for futut tane travel. And you'd be wrong, Blame Starlight, the "stole that power from Time Magic. On the plus side, the slow time limit brought up to ten minutes and the recharge down to five minutes, being able to pause for full mute. Also grants you awareness and immunity to timeline changes, and allows you to age things rapidly. While deadly to use on mortals, this is a great loophole for curses and things you need to wall mount
Blood Okay, this is potentially as evil as you might imagine, but ponies often overlook its other uses. Yes, you can manipulate blood to kill someone in a grizzly fashion, but you can also use it to prevent death via blood loss or even clotting. And you can use blood as an alternative for mana to fuel spells, and various ingredients in rituals, but that's not as bad as it sounds- could be your blood, someone willing giving up some, etc. Also makes it impossible for flesh and blood creatures to sneak up on you without magic stealth. As an Affinity, this becomes completely different: It becomes an Affinity for BONDS; the bonds between friends, lovers, but especially bloodlines. In a sense, you become Cadence's honorary brother; by literally blessing a union, you make it so that their children will always inherit the best from the parents. More interestingly, you can "unlock" someone's potential- not to Alicorn level, but Starlight-class ponies will become uncommon instead of rare. I'm not calling you Super Kami Alicorn King Gravity Okay, this is a big one. At base, this is very simple: weaken Gravity enough for ponies to moonwalk, increase it enough to give them an extreme but nonlethal training session, or temporary change the direction of Gravity in a small room or area for a little while. Things like that. But Gravity Affinity is a bit more extreme. Your range expands to the size of a mountain, and the power is greater in both directions. You can increase the magnitude to the point where no one can move and bones might start to crack. You can, unsurprisingly, make things weightless- kind of, at least. You have to mentally set or eyeball a maximum height they can float to. More Importantly, you can set this up to be permanent and self-sustaining. If you're not catching on, yes, you can create floating islands of land just flying above the surface. You can even set them to float along a specific path, or just make them stationary. Just remember to put in railing because only the island is weightless, anything going over the edge will fall. Psionics A very underappreciated art of magic that involves using magic with your mind and often on others. This allows for what can be considered "True Telekinesis" along with mind reading on a person-to- person basis, and can set up a mental link of communication, akin to what you would call a cellphone. You can also seal magic and powers with this- or rather, put a block on the part of their brain that allows them to control those. Having this power at all will inevitably lead to other ponies and creatures treading into this field of magic. As an Affinity, well, this is blatantly overpowered: You can read and speak to upwards of a dozen minds at a time, completely seal or rewrite memories, or even mentally dominate others to make them your obedient servants. However, those unwilling and stronger willed can eventually break free of this if you aren't careful. Yes, I just Implied some might willingly be mind-controlled; the less you have them go against their nature, the less unwilling the average pony will be. Empathy This might be hard to explain. Empathy allows you to feel and influence the feelings of other. Nothing so much as to overwrite their free will mind you, just enough to push them in one direction or the other. This has the side effect of making you near impossible to deceive as everyone's emotions are on their sleeve to you. And, no pun here, you'll be a great therapist as you'll be able to perceive an individual's real problem after talking with them long enough. As an Affinity, this gets vaguer, but it makes you the conceptual opposite of a Changeling. Rather than feasting on emotions, you generate them. If your morale is not broken, the army and citizens alike will remain undaunted. If you feel depressed, the hearts of other will ache for you. Think of it like a Fisher King, but with the people instead of the land. This is localized, only effecting two places: Fifty feet around you and whatever city/town/areas you call home. This also makes subjects more loyal from investing in your happiness as their own. -cognition This is the only one you can't pick as an Affinity, and no, it isn't an upgrade for your smarts. This comes in three forms: Post, Peri, and Pre. Or, simply put, allowing you to see the Past, Present, and Future. You can take each one as a separate power, but you do have to pick one as your main form of vision, the kind you get the most frequent. Postcognition will give you visions of things that happened that are relevant to what is or about to happen: like seeing the battle between the Sisters and Sombra means he's returning. This isn't always direct, but it's always important. Precognition is a hit or miss thing: It's always right, but it sometimes shows things out of context or shows you things that happen because you saw the vision in the first place. Pericoginiton is the most straight forward, but less helpful in terms of preventing things. It will show you what is happening, something you'll want to know is happening, but it might not always give you the important details; like a town is being attacked, but not by who. + Lasers Sorry, no sharks. Lasers is interesting in that it is an enhancement for all your other powers: In time, you can potentially learn to fire magic lasers of any of your powers, but that takes time, effort, and might not work with every power. This gives you a knack for turning your powers into laser attacks, especially your Affinity and two others of your choice. You can spam low tier laser blasts of your chosen powers and charge a more powerful one even faster, the efficiency making you able to produce more than you would normally. Also increases your aiming abilities in general. As an affinity, however, it allows you to use ALL of your powers as laser beams, and can literally rain them down upon your foes as endless waves, supercharge into a laser bomb, or snipe them. That last part is tricky. Not in aiming, as this increases your aiming skills even more so to take in environmental factors, but it takes more than a few seconds to condense magic into a small ball that won't burst right when you launch it. Creation Phew, okay, the big guns. This is, flat out, creating things from "nothing". Only Nothing translates to your mana. Your magic doesn't actually create any of the physical elements you manipulate, just summoning, controlling, and growing them; this does. You can technically create anything, but you can only make a few pounds of unrelated material a day. With your regular powers you can make a house's worth- in total, not each. But if this is your Affinity you can make a seemingly endless amount-you'll probably fill a small lake before you get tired. Now for the big surprise: As an Affinity, you can outright bring things to live, even those that shouldn't. Statues, armor, paintings, anything. Even trees, and buildings. This can't bring back the long dead, but if the body is fresh enough, you can heal them up and stuff the soul back in with little in terms of side effects. On the downside, you'll be very opposed to destroying things that aren't already ruined, broken, etc. Yes, this includes killing. Costs Double with Destruction. Destruction Creation's pessimistic sister. This power is insanely more useful than you'd expect. The longer you fight or attack someone or something, the easier you can find their weak points. And you can dissolve a metric ton worth of anything you desire, and ONLY what you desire. Makes clean up easy, and will even sterilize things. Still, be careful- you'll never kill anything with this, but it doesn't know the difference between trash and, say, your lost house keys. If you have Creation, you can also instantly will away any material you created, reabsorbing most of the mana you used to make them. But as an Affinity? A certain cat might be annoyed, but God of Destruction fits. Simply put, you'll be able to destroy even something that is indestructible. If you really, REALLY try hard enough, you can erase someone from existence entirely, leaving no memory of them ever existing- except for you, and me. This can but doesn't have to affect the timeline. The only way to undo this is finding someone with a Creation Affinity. Costs Double with Creation
Oh, and to answer the inevitable question? No elemental powers are opposites, this is a mortal mental construct. Put enough earth or wind on fire and it'll go out. The only exception is Creation and Destruction, but those two are always too serious. Now on to a very important question "Where the buck am I going to live?" No, not me, Kingy. YOU. You have quite a few options, to be honest. As the King of Alicorns, all the Alicorns and several other rulers would be happy to play host to you and your reign. But having your own place does have its merits, such as the statement of self-reliance. Crystal Empire An old land that only recently rejoined Equestria, one with a people used to Tyrants but who'd probably love you if you're magnanimous. Trust me, ponies are all about understanding and forgiveness. Well, that and enough pastel colors to make me puke. It's currently run by one of the Alicorns and her husband, but we'll get to them later. Canterlot Ah, the capital city of Equestria, the home of two of the respect and attention of the nobles as well as the current leadership. But trust me, it's as dull as being trapped in stone for a thousand years. What? Oh, nothing, nothing. current Alicorns, whom I'll introduce you to later. It's not a bad choice, since it means you'll quickly gain the Ponyville Once a simple village of Equestria, it's only recently become its own land thanks to the fourth Alicorn establishing herself here. Technically still a part of the old country, but Twilight could have as much autonomy there as she wants if she were inclined. Honestly, if you're looking to get the best idea of modern ponies and learn the commoners' problems, Cloudsdale That's not a trick of the eye, that is a literal city made of clouds. Most flying types have a natural magic for walking on clouds, dragons being a big exception, but Pegasi are the only ones that can make lasting buildings out of clouds. Due to the tribes uniting and Pegasi intermingling with Earth Ponies and Unicorns, making new cloud-cities has fallen largely out of practice, but if the King of the Alicorns took an interest in them, there would definitely be a new surge of interest in making them. this is the place to live. Plus, I live there too, so ya know, you'd get to spend even more time with me! Make Your Own Castle Everfree Forest Remember those two living in Canterlot? Yes, well, the center of Equestria used to be in the Everfree Forest, but the castle has been abandoned for ages. You'll have to deal with cleaning it up a bit and the hazardous wildlife. More difficult than adventurous, but taming these lands will get you great respect and the wildlife might even recognize your rule over time. It's also right next to Ponyville, so, you can bunk over there if you get in a tight spot. Very adventurous, but also a striking statement that your reign will be as original as possible and not rely on the bedrock of others. I do so admire a free spirit too, so I suppose if you pick this, I'll gift you a full staff of guards, cooks, maids and others, just because I like ya, I'll help you make something as good as Canterlot, but no sky islands- that's a separate option. Seaquestria/Mount Aris New Changeling Castle Yes, new. As I said, they've evolved. Their chiton is now this bright colorful fur and they no longer need to feed on love since they share it. This doesn't have a lot of advantages, but these lings are still new to their new selves, especially their king, a guy called Thorax. Look for the antlers, you can't miss him. This would probably put you and this race on a shared journey of self-discovery, along with helping smooth over old grudges against them, making them likely to revere you and become closely associated with you. There's a nation of Hippogriffs that can also turn into seaponies due to some unfortunate history, truly unrelated to myself, ruled over by Queen Novo. Not a bad place if you have gills and this will prompt a new wave of ponies to settle in the south to be closer to the Alicorn King. This might also be seen as disapproval of the reigns of the other Alicorns. Dragonlands An unexpected choice, but an interesting one. Dragons are not ponies, but the pride of dragons makes this place possible. See, If the King of the Pony Princesses showed up and said he was living here, they'd laugh. The Dragonlord would accept hosting you on the basis that she and every drake will get a laugh out of watching you run off. If you hold your ground, don't take any buck from them, and maybe impress them with a few feats of power and if you can- dips in lava, they'll consider you a Dragon Among Ponies. This will be both a good thing and ...troubling thing for a while, as dragons won't look down on ponies as much, buuuut they will also be seeking out ponies even half as worthy and badass as you. Expect to have to Chrysalis's Hideout Despite some rumors, the deposed Queen is not going nutty from loneliness in the Everfree; she already was nutty. Anyway, she is hiding out somewhere in some underground base with what Changelings are still loyal to her and the old ways. Honestly, I can't help you much with this one. I don't know WHERE the hold outs are, but you'll be teleported near them. Not too sure why you'd do this. Trying to bring them over from the inside? Want to take over and let both kinds of lings find a peace? Hard to say with you. Just be warned, Chrysalis is a bit crazy, and not my kind. But she is technically an Alicorn variant chastise a few dragons, put out fires, and maybe rebuild a and she'll know, begrudgingly, that you are her king as village or two. On the other hoof, you'll have a good dozen or well. so dragons ready to go to war for you if needed even before you formally request aid from them. That's about it for castles and the main localities, but you do have a few other options. These are, shall we say, the bit oddball ones. But I wouldn't be me if I wasn't offering some of the stranger options. These are all either unoccupied or will otherwise welcome you. These are also places you might want to find one day even if you don't take them as a home. Sky Islands This is a gift from me, by the way. I'll make you a large land mass that defies gravity and can separate into smaller chunks at will, but it is very straining at first. Very hard to invade, but trade and overpopulation are things that you'll have to work out at some point. Yes, some of your potential powers mean you could make this on your own, but consider this a head start if you picked those, as you can expand your territory if you do have those powers. Also, again, best to invest in some railings or something for the non-flying communities. The Dark Tower A good place if you're going for the more authoritative route, or pure out Dark King of Ponykind. I won't begrudge you. Besides, if you lose, they'll probably friendship you into being nicer. This also comes with a library of dark magic, its own self defense system that I'll key you to, and the dark creatures living around it are easily brought over to serving a king if he proves his strength. Ponies will expect you to be stricter than the other Alicorns, and even if you're not, pony society in general will bend more towards authoritative and absolute rule. Paradise Island of the Amarezons You're really lucky. This is a land populated by nigh immortal and very beautiful warrior mares, along with females of a few other races, who don't allow males on their island. Even me! Unless said male happens to be the King of the Alicorns. In exchange for your protection, which they actually don't need unless the outside world finds them, they're more than willing to pamper you and allow you to take some of them as concubines or bodyguards. Also, if you find this place on your own and they attack any of your subjects, they will beg forgiveness. Again, King of the Goddesses. Please note that all daughters of the Amarezons will not be immortal, but beautiful, long lived, and Alicorn-ish in size and strength. PS: This is the rumored homelands of Celly and Lulu, but keep that between us. Eglantis Not to be confused with Seaquestria, home of the Seaponies. This was once an island empire of great magic and progress until some dashing fellow sunk it to the bottom of the sea. What? Don't look at me like that. You'd have access to a lot of ancient technology, or magi-tech rather, and the best part is that you can control the weather around the island; it'll keep anything from leaving that you don't want to leave. It's all mostly ruins, but a small portion of it was able to survive via putting up a protective dome before 1-1 mean, before they went under. Word of advice, take the princess as a consort. Yes, you can still raise the city even if you don't pick this, just not for a few years or decades- but one of the perks of immortality is that you have plenty of time.
Ah, excellent choice. I'm sure you'll love your shiny new home, though you might have problems with noisy neighbors. Eh, I'm sure they'll quiet down once Nyarly comes back..what? Oh, nothing, nothing Anyway, now we move onto my favorite part: Your Queen. Yes, you get a Queen, don't look so stunned. What kind of king would you be without a Queen? Besides, they're all g Y're all gorgeous and uniquely talented in their own ways. Don't EVER tell them I said that. Princess Twilight Sparkle The newest princess, a former student of the eldest Alicorn, she's an lovely mixture of contradiction; at one moment, neurotic in the extreme with OCD like you wouldn't believe and the next, an endless fountain of inspiration and a peerless hero of her people willing to fight any odds and take on any foe for her family, friends, and nation. She's nearly at the upper limits of her potential and could, in the future, rival the three singularly powerful entities; we're two of those. The third is an old goat, for the record. That said, she's a smart mare with a good head on her shoulders and a well-meaning heart. She has had a very princess-like mentality for a long time, and I don't mean the prissy, stuck up type. When caught with an uncertain yet mundane situation, she often fears to do too much or too little. All she really needs in a King is someone who can keep her calm and not panicking over every little detail. Do this and she could theoretically run the entirety of Ponydom for you. And if you run the show, she'l do all in her power to make it as efficient as possible. She naturally defers to higher authorities she's aligned to the Alicorns sisters and you, basically. Even if she doesn't agree with what you desire, she'll still do it, but try to do so in a way that she believes is best. She will start out afraid to disappoint you, which can be either cultivated into a perfect and clever right hoof mare or a very charismatic and wise co-ruler. On the plus side, she'll never be willing to betray you unless you are a true villain. And, in terms of a physical relationship, well, she's fantasied about master/student roleplay before, as well as anything involving an office or throne room. Read into that as you will. She is otherwise a very nerdy virgin that is eager to learn, please, and learn to please. Princess Luna Second oldest of the Alicorns, younger sister to Celestia. Old Luny presides over the night and the moon, so you'll probably become at least partly nocturnal while married to her. She is kind but stern, often taking things far too serious-that's not me talking, that's general consensus. Due to ancient events and mistakes, she was sealed away for a thousand years. She's adapting to modern society well, but is still old school in a lot of ways and is reinventing herself a bit. You have plenty of bonding over learning the exact/modern details of this world and creating your public images as rulers of Ponydom, but she can be a bit hotheaded at times. Said past mistakes revolved around Luna feeling unloved and underappreciated compared to her sister, which is still a sore spot for her despite being forgiven. That said, while she doesn't mind being in your shadow, she will resent being pushed aside and regulated to being your trophy queen. Honestly, she's much easier to please than others assume: She is pacified just with you both acting as soundboards to each other. Knowing that her proposals and opinions matter to you, The Alicorn King and her husband, is a great relief. That said, when direct and immediate action is needed, she takes immediate charge until you do, falling into line with your lead unless you follow hers. She's very interested in modern kinks and fetishes, but don't expect her to roll over for you. She's a bit prideful, as you can see. On the upside, she'll encourage you to get a herd, or harem. She'll even expect it, viewing your virility as something that you should both be proud of. After all, you can have a massive herd, but you only have one Queen. Just don't be surprised if she doesn't claim a few of them while you're having fun. After all, she needs to entertain herself while you entertain yourself. Princess Celestia THE Alicom. THE Princess. Oh, and she is Alicorn of the Day and the sun, if you didn't guess from her sister, Celly's been ruling Equestria for over a thousand years, about that long on her own after Luna went on "vacation." She doesn't say it, but Equestria is really her Kingdom, the entire past millennia has revolved around her. To this day, most ponies regard her as the pinnacle of perfect beauty, and even I can't say it's meritless. Everypony will actually assume she will be your queen at first, to be honest. After all, who else would the Alicorn King take but the fairest and wisest Princess? I'll admit it, she's kind and patient, utterly magnanimous, but also very wry and cunning. She's manipulated plenty of nobles, commoners, and foreign ruders over the centuries. That said, she'll teach you everything and anything that you need or want to know if she knows it. Having reigned as long as she has, she's more than willing to step back and allow you to run things with her as an adviser. Needless to say, confidence in your reign's bright future, pun unintended, will be unshakable. That said, while Celly isn't adverse to change, she is unused to it in terms of how you rule, if she seems to undermine your changes, it's more likely she's just fallen back into her old routine. Breaking habits with immortals can be difficult, as you can guess. Oh, and she loves cake. If you ever get confident enough to lead without her input, she's more than willing to retire to being your attentive broodmare. If you don't get it, that basically means she'll be your full time slave in bed. Yeah, she's been aching for companionship and to hand over the reins for centuries. While no changeling, she's mastered a transformation spell that allows her to appear as a regular pory, and she'll perhaps be a bit too happy about the idea of joining the help as your servant er maid or whatever else you'd be interested in. Princess Flurry Heart Okay, I have to explain this one. The only other Alicorns currently are Princess Cadenza, call her Cadence, and her baby daughter Flurry Heart. Wait, wait, I know you're not a Pedo! You're not, right? I'll take that look as a no. Anyway, being immortal, you're both more than capable of waiting. Keep in mind, she'll be legal in two decades and for an eternity afterwards. Her mother will be a bit peeved about it but ultimately won't protest as long as she believes you will be a good stallion for her baby and that Flurry grows to love you. Then again, you two might end up hating each other, so you know, gambling on an investment. Flurry Heart is very powerful for her age, and being so young makes her malleable. While it may seem a bit weird, this is essentially a chance to train and mold her to have whatever qualities and skills you feel are most important for your future queen. And assuming she doesn't come to resent you, she'll probably work eagerly to that goal with the support of...literally every Alicorn, including or excluding you, and many other talented ponies that want nothing more than to see her to succeed and be happy. She's also the first and only known born Alicorn that the ponies know of, so she's already considered something of a miracle which could play well into planting the idea in her mind that she was born to be your queen. Again, I know you're not a pedo, but while some things are based on nurturing others qualities are set in stone; especially due to genetics. And Flurry Heart is daughter of the Alicorn of Love and the former Captain of the Royal Guards, AKA Twilight Sparkle's older brother. Which translates to her being very good looking with an inevitable development of high libido, stamina, and if her parents are anything to go by? Willing to try anything once, Queen Chrysalis Yeah, the Lady of the Darklings herself, Queen of her people and a desperate, evil, love-sucking leech. Or so you might believe. Honestly, she's been dealt a fairly raw deal in life. She and her kind were "born" in this state, so after her and the hive went on literal love-feast, they all ended up trapped in a volcano for a thousand years. Between that and everything else she and her people have had to do to survive, she's incapable of confronting the fact that Thorax proved their kind can charge. She would need someone to chip away at her shell-pun only slightly intended and help her maybe even evolve like Thorax has. Or help her rule Equestria with an iron boot, eh, one or the other. Chrysalis as a Queen is actually very interesting because while she's vain as Tartarus, she prefers, even enjoys running things behind the scenes. With her and her followers given another chance without (at least initially) evolving, you will have the Queen that masterminded two separate and successful mass-infiltrations of Equestria. This translates to her being the ultimate spymistress in running and enhancing your intelligence network. If you have the stomach for it, she can even arrange for certain individuals to disappear or "change their minds"(aka replaced with a changeling), or sabotage things in both times of war and peace. Just don't try to completely stonewall her public agendas and she'll be more than happy to aid with yours. As for kinks? Well, she's too proud to submit in public but if you can prove your dominance over her, she'll be your doting submissive in private. Kind of like Celestia, except Tia wants to be bred a lot while Chrysalis just wants to buck. Thoroughly taming her in private will also lead to her being more amical to seeing things your way in public-not completely, it starts slows but having the Queen as your proud pet is worth the effort.
Dragon Lord Ember Oooh, we're finally moving out of the pony options and this is a good one. Don't worry, while you're of two different species, interbreeding is a lot easier in this world. Now, she's going to seem kind of like another Flurry Heart option in that she's not an adult. BUT, she's much closer than Flurry Heart. Technically she's about twenty-five, but dragon-aging rates puts her at being more like fourteen or fifteen, and she's rather short for her kind and age. While she will eventually grow much larger than you, there are plenty of temporary shrinking spells that Dragons are often just too proud to ask any mage to cast on them Anyway, despite being the daughter of the previous Dragon Lord, she did NOT inherit the title. She actually didn't win it either, as another Dragon you'll meet-Spike, young drake raised by Twilight Sparkle, long story won the contest to be Dragon Lord but passed it onto her for personal reasons. The point to this is that, unlike Flurry, there's no molding this one, only tempering She's stern, hotheaded, but reasonable and not above showing gratitude. But she is also more than willing to unleash the full fury of the Dragonlands if anyone ever made the mistake of thinking she's a pushover as a ruler. Beyond that, she's still figuring out the finer points of the whole ruling thing as well, so plenty to bond over. Plus it'd be good for dragon pony While young, I can already tell you what she is interested in. As a Dragon, she is naturally attracted to power. Not enough for it to be the only reason, but she'll be much more willing to the "Uniting Ponydom and Dragondom" thing if you show off a bit. She doesn't know it yet, but she has a thing for spankings. I think Daddy Torch was a bit too claws off with the parenting PS: I wouldn't say she's okay with you having a harem so much as she doesn't see it as anything to find strange. She just views it as an interesting, liberal interpretation of Treasure Hording. This is legitimately every dragon's thought process on the Nightmare Moon Ah yes. Remember what I said about luna getting sealed away? Nightmare Moon is why. She is a powerful specter of sorts that possessed and took over Luna when she was getting all jelly over the ponies liking the day while sleeping through the night. The ponies think she's gone, but she's not. She's currently little more than a ghost, plotting to take over Equestria, but it'll take her several centuries to try it.unless of course, a very powerful Alicorn were to aid her. Don't worry, you're literally too powerful for her to take over; you'd fry her instinctively and she knows it. But just agreeing to marry her will give her a body of her own, about as powerful as when she had possessed Luna. I'm not sure I can call her evil, to be honest. Tyrannical and a bit cruel, certainly, but as a time traveling/alternate timelines event showed, she's not going to turn Equestria into a wasteland or anything. She just wants to be in charge. Put her in charge of the right areas-Military, maybe police, counter-spying departments, etc. and she'd whip the systems into shape as being lean and mean. That said, give her too much leeway, and I promise you she's bringing back the death penalty. Mercy will have to be your department, if a From there, it's on you. If you're cowed by her, she won't treat you like a slave, but she'll definitely be the one in charge. She'll stilbe grateful for your help though. If you stand up firmly to her, she'll appreciate your will and agree to rule as equals. Expect to butt heads occasionally. She'll only acknowledge you as her superior after a century or two of besting her. She's flexible on what end of a kink she is on and doesn't mind involving others, but her one weak spot is thinking you like a different mare more than her. Paradoxically, she's very understanding and lenient regarding one nightstands and drunken affairs. As long as you don't forget that she is your queen and true mate, and help her long term plans for world domination, your time is your time. Queen of the Hippogriffs and Seaponies, and the Hippogriff's semi-equivalent of an Alicorn Not immortal, but long lived and eternally young. More than a little on the haughty side, she led her people with a largely isolationist policy up until they fled underwater from the Storm King, taking on Seapony forms until his defeat-now they use fragments of the Pearl of Transformation to switch between Hippogriff and Seapony forms. It'll be a little surprising for the Alicorn King to take a Hippogriff bride, but Hippogriffs are kind of half pony, and with the right push, her nation and its rather impressive navy can become a continental superpower in terms of trading, and pave the way for a mass expansion of territory through oversea colonies. As a Queen, her strength and weakness are one and the same: She puts her people before anything or anyone else. While this makes her great at maintaining and improving internal prosperity, she's often reluctant to aid other nations, even allies. This will transfer from just her hippogriff country to include the entirety of Ponydom, buuuut not really being a pony, she doesn't always comprehend that as King of the Alicorns, you are the ruler of ALL ponies-even the ones you don't directly rule, hence why she's not be big on supporting nations you have seemingly little to no connection with. In private, she's not much different. I personally find it vastly ironic and hilarious that Celestia, a literal goddess in this world, all too enjoys the idea of being submissive, but this vain demigoddess longs to be worshipped. While she'd be interested in the more kinky, female domination fetishes, she's more than content to be pampered and attended to, and doesn't mind returning the favor after the fact. Hope you have gills as she's grown an appreciation for living unda the sea. Queen Novo's only and seemingly ditzy daughter. Don't worry, she's not an air head. Most Hippogriffs of her generation spent most of their lives underwater, so even the simplest thing like stairs fascinate them sometimes. She's in the relative age span of sixteen to eighteen, so you don't have much worrying on the age front. Between her inexperience and her youth, there will be a few years of her mother, possibly you, and others grooming her for her new position as your queen. This carries the same benefits as marrying Novo in terms of uniting the two species, but the melding will be slower with Novo still keeping the reigns at home and focusing mainly on the Hippogriffs still. As a Queen, while you can mold a LOT of her views, she has an innate sense of good that will always prompt her to try to do the "right thing" aka helping those in need. Hopefully you can show her the wisdom in that help doesn't always need to be direct or immediate. As an added bonus, marrying her instead of Novo will actually prompt hippogriffs and ponies to intermingle more than if you had taken Novo. I think it's because ponies can relate to Skystar better, and her helping against the Storm King Okay, on terms of an actual relationship, I can't believe "I am saying this, but be gentle with this one. I don't even mean that lewdly! She has no experience in romance and between her status and her mother, no one has ever even tried. So she will try literally anything and take you at your word about everything in regards to being a couple. Show her a whole new world, but try not to show her too much at once. Ironically, she doesn't know this yet, but she will actually be very good at keeping her personal life from effecting her judgement as your queen. TeAcr Orb If you want to pick none. Well, not really none, so much as in none of the above or put off picking for now. You need a queen, but you don't need one right away. So, if you'd rather do it the old fashion...wait, arranged marriages are old fashioned. This is new fashioned. Still, if you'd rather go out and find your own mate, I will give you this orb, allowing you to turn your amour into an Alicorn or full/true-equivalent to be you queen. Don't worry, it can't break or be used on accident, or by anyone but you. You also "technically get this for the non-Alicorns on the list, but I just infuse it into them before the wedding and set it to be triggered after you two "seal the deal" as it were. As a reminder, this can work on literally anything with awareness: Golems created by Creation, creatures of Biomancy, even the undead. That's all fo-oh, wait, I missed one! Screwball, Daughter of Discord Wait, how did THAT get here?! Screwball, have you been messing with Daddy's magic again?! Hmph, okay, I have a daughter, She looks a bit underage most of the time, but she can change her age, and her form to a lesser degree. Don't ask her age, but she's actually older than Celestia. Marrying her essentially means being married to a delightful little ball of madness that truly doesn't care what others think of her except me, and I guess you but she wants to try this "being good thing I've been doing Look, if she put herself in here, that means two things. One is that she likes you enough to try out marriage, which means she likes you for more than a laugh, which is rare. The other is that my Little Abomination is growing up! Yes, I'm crying fatherly tears dammit! Anyway, moving on! So, getting her will basically make you an honorary Prince of Chaos. The benefits are wide, vague, and sometimes not good. Random, unpredictable twists of fate. Slight but true reality warping, Small risk of a tiny bit of madness. This also makes you, obviously, my son in law and I'll do everything in my power to keep my little filly from losing her station. I'll even be your adviser, as long as you make her happy. We'll probably have lots of fun and we can finally prove o ponies that Chaos can be and is a good thing! As for kinks.Wow! I'm actually not embarrassed to talk about this. Anyway, she has none, yet. But she's up for anything Also, she loves chin scratches. And pickles. And her caribou jammies. And my old horn she nibbles on. And her cactus juice. I'm going to miss my baby girl, I need a moment!
[It picked Screwball] [If you pick anyone But Screwball] Well, well, looks like I'm your father-in-law now, Kingy. Really, I only have two rules. Take good care of my baby girl and don't ever call me Daddy. Only the ladies get to call me that. Follow those and I'll help you out wherever I can. Even if you don't always instantly appreciate my kind of help. Ah, a lovely choice for a Queen. Seriously, her? With any luck, your home will soon be a wonderful little family area filled with-Bleh! Excuse me, I just gagged a bit from how saccharine that was. Seriously, what schmuck's writing this? Now that you're locked and loaded, we can move onto a curious question I have: How are you going to rule? Not your personal territory, you get to do pretty much whatever you want there. I mean the Dominion of Ponykind as a whole. You've obviously thought about this a bit between picking everything, so I can't help wondering. Hooves-Off How boring. Well, the ponies have made it pretty well without you so far, no offense. I suppose I can't blame you for not wanting to ruin a good thing. Not that you can't get involved or anything. You'll be able to impose your will over the rule of the Alicorns and other pony leaders, but are largely leaving your subjects to their own governance. That said, you'll likely be asked to settle internal and external disputes, as well as take a direct role in wartimes, be it leading the armies or defending the homelands. Both will serve as great morale boosts, knowing the Alicorn King is the head of the spear tip or is the one saying "You Shall Not Pass!" to any invading forces. Unless you go villain, the Alicorns and Ponykind as a whole will be more than happy to contribute to their God-King's personal paradise, sending any tribute that you might demand so long as it's not too over the top or draining on their resources. You probably won't even have to ask as everypony of import will be vying to get on your good side and prove their loyalty. As said, you can still rule your personal domain as directly or indirectly as you desires. Defer to Your Queen Not a bad choice in most cases. While nopony knows your origins( won't tell, lol), they know at least that you're new to this realm. So like with Luna adjusting to modern society, they won't bat an eye if you decide to take your royal mate's lead on things for however long you need to get caught up. Be wary though, while they will usually follow any requests or preferences you may have, they will be ruling as they view to be proper and will no doubt push their own separate agendas as well. If you pick Chrysalis or Nightmare, even if you are firmly the leader between the two, that won't change what they believe the correct manner to rule is. And if they are your equal or you let them have their way, things will go down a similar route as you going villain, just so you know what you're getting in for. Sans Flurry, one of the Alicorns should be fine, but expect your queen's political opponents(among your subjects at least) to try and go over her head by appealing to you directly. Defer to Your Adviser This is called having a Steward, Viceroy, Vizier, Hoof of the King. or whatever title you want to stamp on it. Regardless, it amounts to you appointing someone to handle most day-to-day issues of the realm so that you don't have to. This gives you more free time with your Queen and dealing with more messy issues across the lands-monsters, curses, invading villains, etc. This can be anyone, for the record. Yes, one, this doesn't need to be a pony since they are personally picked by you. As such, others will take the Adviser's word for your own on most matters, so you might want to keep tabs on them, just in case, or you might unknowing end up an ignorant figurehead. This can be a queen-candidate you didn't pl Top Six, anyone at me? Well, yes, you can pick do, I'm picking out a plot of land to be my H. 500000 holding this over several ponies' heads- your queen will be excluded, of course. +
