Chereads / His Dangerous MATE / Chapter 4 - Chapter Three

Chapter 4 - Chapter Three

"You aren't supposed to see that," she stated, and Theo furrowed his brows, not sure of what to make out of the information and before he could mutter something from my lips in response, She had brought out a gun from behind her, and it was now pointed at Theo

"You are a wolf, aren't you?!"

A loud growl was heard from the north side of the cemetery. Causing everyone including the cemetery guards to duck. It was gravely.

Theo squinted his eyes, he didn't seem fazed at the sudden intrusion, instead surprise overwhelms him.

"I see you've called out the rest for moral support," the question seemed like a rhetorical one to Theo, so he didn't bother giving it a reply.

Instead, he lifts his index finger silencing her as he squints his eyes further.

A loud cry was heard from the east north side of the cementry causing tension to fill the air.

"Summon the defenses, we are under attack" one of the man commanded. He was the one that was attempting to check this location, where Theo find himself hiding a minute ago. But now his attention had been diverted to something else.

Another cry was heard from the second man that had been asked to summon the defenses.

"So what now, are you going to ask your friends to come and get me too?"

Theo grunts in frustration before turning to the lady. Her gun was still pointed at him but it had gone lower. She was afraid.

"Those sounds, aren't that of werewolves" Theo simply stated

"I would believe that, if I was deaf" she threw back at him. Theo heard the growl again but it was different, he could tell if it was his pack. And he knew for a fact it wasn't his pack… It wasn't from any pack at all. The growl was mimicking that of werewolves, but it wasn't.

He knew that because werewolves, interact with their growl, huff.. And grunts. It was something all werewolves know.

His wolf sudden sprang up alerted and he immediately made use if the energy he had managed to store up and ran out if the cemetery.

Leaving the lady starlted.

She looked on as he ran with an immeasurable speed.

"No shit! He left me here to get killed while I stayed back, to give his ass a proper burial, stupid hormones! "Why didn't I pull the trigger?" she mumbled angrily.

She heard the 'war dong' and she knew what that meant, she had to leave that place before anyone noticed her.

She tries to scheme up a good plan to help her get out of the grave without the lurking wolf and the exorcist noticing her.

After several seconds without coming up with a good plan, she climbs the casket and made to jump out of it when she notices someone with a motorcycle- HER motorcycle standing close to the grave she was in.

"Hurry!" the masculine voice called

His face wasn't facing her but she could tell it was the weird man- werewolf that she thought had ditched her. Not having any space to think if it was a safe idea, she pulls out her hand taking his into hers, as he helps her out.

"Get in?" he mumbles, not giving room for negotiation.

"Can you ride it?"

"Usually I always ask the girls that- but I can" he answered. That wasn't supposed to make her feel anything other than disgust but it made her cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

"If you don't want to die, hold on tight."

And without waiting for her to do just that, he started the bike. And in a daze they were heading out of the cemetery.

"Stop, stop!" she calls taps on his back after they've driven out to a reasonable distance. "Get out of my bike," she ordered after he stopped the bike.

"Your bike?" he questioned and she tilted her chin on noting the sarcasm.

"Yeah, haven't ride a lady that rides a bike before?"

He let out a deep chuckle

He gets out of the bike but he doesn't let go of it, he encloses the space between them, both of them refusing to break eye contact.

"I… Just might" he mumbles with a thick accent making her breath hitched.

"You should, maybe put it in your To-Do list"

"I don't do list," he mutters before grabbing her on the waist

A small gasp escaped her lips, it was obvious his touch ignites something in her.

"Don't, come close wolf.." she stuttered

"Stop me," he dared

She made a move to push him off but she found herself holding on to his chest instead.

Her body wouldn't..just obey her.

"Aurora…" a voice calls out, making them separate immediately.

"Hey, I've been looking for you, we have to go" the petite lady with blonde hair calls.

Aurora' Theo mumbles, he liked the name.

He didn't notice Aurora, brushing his hand from her bike. She got in and called the blonde lady to hop in after… As they made to leave.

"You," she called, bringing his thoughts back to them.

"You," he calls back to her with a smug smile

"I wouldn't spare you when next I see you," she whispered deadly

"I wouldn't go easy on you when I have you," he says nonchalantly. But he wasn't threatening her back, he was flirting with her. Aurora's face turned red instantly and she turned away from him, started her bike and drove away leaving him to watch her go.

He exhaled and slowly crouched to the floor. He was still in pain. He didn't seem to feel it when she was around… That close. Her absence brought back the pain and emptiness he felt.

"Alpha,"

Sebastian called from behind him. Theo didn't feel his presence before now, He must have just arrived.

"Ge- '' Alpha theo made to say when he felt the darkness claim him again, sending him and his weak knees to the floor.

"Find her!!" The priest roared. "Now!! Hurry."

The priest went back home, he didn't know the path the rest had followed so he went back home, hoping and expecting them to come with the head of a werewolf.

When he got in, he decided to check on his surviving family- his niece Aurora, he was going to disclose the news to her himself.

But when he got there, she wasn't in her wheelchair, and her maid most especially that was told to guard her at all times wasn't here either.

Fear gripped him "did they come for her while I was gone.. But how.. No one knows about her existence " he muttered, scared, terrified and a bit shaken by the sudden situation.

"Sir we've sent our best men to look in every nook and cranny of the building and beyond, she mustn't have gone far. Maybe her maid took her strolling, " one of the men said, a bit unsure but with a straight face.

"She mustn't leave these walls. If the enemies get her we're doomed " he stated worriedly. "Find the maid, bring her to me when you do" he roared

"Yes sir"
