"We've found her" one of the guards barge in to the priest room, his arm roughly tugging on a lady.
He pushed her forward, as if to explain herself. But the priest wasn't looking her way, yet.
"And Aurora?" He questioned
"She Has been put back to her room, we found them close to the lake"
The priest's tensed shoulders started to relax.
He turns his gaze to the maid, so as to assess her fully. " I gave orders that wherever or whenever you want to take aurora out, you should take someone or at most inform them of your location, didn't I?"
She went down on her kneels immediately
"There was no one to tell,"
"And it could not wait till they had come back?"
She moves swiftly to his foot as she pleads her cause "You haven't been here for a month now, including her brother Michael that promised to come see her yesterday, she stopped eating-" the priest tries to move away but she just holds on tighter. She knew what could happen to her if he leaves the room without listening. They would behead her immediately for breaking protocols. "she stopped eating. So I had to somewhat take her to the place her brother had initially promised to take her to. You asked me to do whatever I can to ensure she is properly fed, I'm sorry I did too much chief. Please spare me."
"If this happens for a second time, you won't live to tell the tale" he simply says before advancing to the doorway. "I'll be seeing her later, make sure she is properly taken care of before then," and with that he exited the room.
The maid let out a deep breath in relief. She wasn't killed and neither was she sacked.
She stands on her feet as she made her way out of the room too
"That's it, I've had enough of her 'playouts' I can't keep getting my self in situations like this, she might as well put me in my grave before my initial time."
She goes down the hallway passing by rooms and corridors till she gets to a particular one. She pulled the knobs and got in, she looked outside to be sure no one was lurking around the corners before she got in and closed the door.
She lets out a loud sigh holding on to her knees for support, before straightening up to stare at the lady sitting in the Wheelchair staring into space.
"I can not keep up with you anymore Aurora, you're putting my life on the line… And I'm not sure if that affects you at all, but I'm not willing to do any of that anymore. He almost killed me"
"I told you he won't," Aurora mutters not blinking
"You don't know that!" she cuts her off earning a glare from aurora. "You don't know that-" she tries again, her voice much lower than before. "You sit there acting like you still have paralysis over the death of your parents…"
"Don't you dare!" Aurora suddenly stands up in annoyance. A mighty wind blew the maid away to the wall, making her hit her head on the wall.
She groaned in pain.
Aurora was right in front of her swiftly as she placed her head on her lap to check the injury she had inflicted out of anger.
"I'm sorry- I'm sorry…" she mutters repeatedly
"It's okay, it was my fault. I shouldn't have said that- I was just… A bit agitated.``The maid said, sounding apologetic. "Your uncle will be coming here soon. He asks that I take care of you before he arrives.
"Oh Selene, you take care of me alright. In every way possible," Aurora whispers into her ear as she strokes her head that the injury had been inflicted.
Selene the Maid blushed knowingly before she spoke further.
"But, if we don't want our cover blown, I have to make sure you're looking fine. And that means I need to fully take care of you"
Aurora pulls her onto her feet and they both head to the bathroom. Selene watched as Aurora settled in the tub before she went out to get her wheelchair.
On getting back, she found Aurora already missing the soap with the water. She waits for it to get soapy before she takes off her clothes gently, teasing Selene before she finally get in the tub.
"Selene dear," Aurora called teasingly
"Mhm?"
"I need help scrubbing my tummy"
Selene laughed
"Your tummy? You didn't have an issue with preparing your bath so what's with scrubbing that you can't handle?"
"Please?" Aurora pouts
"Fine" Selene lets out sounding gruesome.
She grabs a sponge and starts scrubbing Aurora's shoulder, and then goes to her arms, before jumping to her tummy avoiding her breasts.
"I see what you did there," Aurora noted
"Whatever," Serene laughs as she continues with sponging. "You won't be going outside anyone will you? There's really no reason you're going out anymore… Well after your brother."
Aurora seemed tensed and she sat up
"Is there?" serene questions after sensing the sudden tension.
Aurora doesn't speak, she sat still as she stared into space.
"Come on, don't give me that crap" serene scolded in annoyance.
"What crap?" A voice called from behind, it was that of the priest.
